Just bought my first Pioneer belt, got it in the mail Saturday! It came from Texas to Pa in like 3 days and that was with order, processed and shipped! Insane! Fits great! I love the off set holes for the bloated days and the non bloated days! Any suggestions to help break it in faster?
I don't think it matters at all if the prong is right in the middle or a bit offset regarding the top or bottom stability of the belt, it's just there to keep the belt on you. The leather itself is what keeps it from folding over.
I think one reason you would use a single or double prong is that you can't use this belt in USAPL. It's a shame because the price is good and it looks like a great belt.
Pioneer belts do not have a proper stitch finish on the inside of the loop when you turn the loop like Mark Bell. Pioneer belts have a very poor finish.
Pioneer General Leathercraft Mfg No, serious question. I have a double suede belt of yours. I did a google search because Rippitoe has said the type of rivits you use has torn through. I found nothing.
garagegorilla63 there are six rivets in every prong belt we have made over the last 40 years and I can count on one hand the problems we’ve had with them. Rip doesn’t like us because we did a giveaway with a group of guys that apparently are “anti-rip”. Two part rivets like most use are a male and female type rivet that can come loose overtime where ares are a one piece rivet that flowers on the inside. Both are good, but ours doesn’t allow for a chance of failure. If our rivet pulled through, it was a leather issue and not a rivet one. Hope this helps!
