Pioneer HDJ-CUE1 headphones are amazing. I also bought HDJ X5 and returned the product 20 minutes after unpacking. The HDJ-CUE1 are truly amazing in terms of sound. Much better in low and high tones than HDJ X5. Additionally, the X5's are big and bulky and I don't like them at all. X5 They are poor :) The ambient separation in the X5 is also poor compared to HDJ-CUE1. I RECOMMEND HDJ-CUE1. They are great!
1:35 the reason the output is higher on these is because they have lower resistance. Studio headphones are designed for use with decent DACs/amplifiers, whereas these are designed for the lower-energy output of a DJ controller, phone, etc. These are 32 ohm and the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro comes in 32ohm, 80ohm (my ones), or even 250ohm. They're not made for the same thing.
What senheiser do you have? The HD 25, precisely because it is plastic and very light, does not break easily when falling. Do you know them, do they reach their sound quality? I don't ask you about their durability, because they are new ...
I was wondering what headphones 2 get, it was these, Pioneer se mhr5 or Pioneer hdt 700, but so far they are sticking out but some of ny boys, have the x7s and they were bitching about the bass
Sound is very subjective , maybe they are more sensitive to it , or they prefer flat sound . My best advice would be to try them on , even the X7s... And in general , try on headphones , see what fits your head , what your ears prefer, etc.
To be honest Mihai, I've not tested them on either of those devices. I'd say they be pretty decent on a phone, providing you've got the correct adaptors. Do remember though these headphones are meant for DJing.
They are only 32ohms , you should have no problem powering them with a phone or a ps4 .. You'll not get the same sound as you would out of a mixer or an amp .. But that's not really a power issue . That's just an issue with the dac in phones and gaming consoles .
