I enjoy my slot cars much more with the magnets removed in most cases . The removal and replacement with a bit of weight is very easy with the pioneer legends cars
Thanks. The Pioneer magnets are very strong & don’t allow much slide when cornering at speed. Great idea. Just purchased some weights for my Pioneer Legend cars. Slowly converting my collection to magnet free. Cheers
Hi 👋 thanks for watching and commenting. I'm happy you found my post helpful, my legends are still my favourite car and they run amazing without the magnets. I will definitely be adding more to my collection. Greetings from Latvia 🤗...Harry
Thanks Robert 🤗 I'm soon going to stick all these spare magnets together and go magnet fishing in the local lake 😀 so far my favourite slot cars .let's see if they lose their crown before the new year . Thanks again for watching 🤗👍
I'm with you Harry, first thing I do to a slot car is remove the magnets! It's more fun and realistic driving to me. Plus I get to see the car instead of a blur, and as you pointed out de-slots don't hurt as much lol. Also, I add weight first where the magnet(s) were, then add a little more if I need it. I don't use a lot of weight. I have seen cars with entire sheets of weight on the chassis, way too much for me. Great video!
Thanks for watching and commenting. People are obsessed with tuning their cars highly, but for me, the magnet removal is enough as I'm only racing myself 🤣 . Yes I might add another bit of weight in the magnet slot later ...I had nothing cut at the time ,but I've got some lead now since making the video . I've watched some folk racing those totally unrealistic 132 car's that go at ridiculous speeds and it has Zero interest for me so I'm happy to race my closer to realism car's 🤗...Harry
Great tutorial on what you did!!!! The weight under the rear axle is a can of worms you opened😂😅😂 I agree with you, I do it as well, but there are other guys out there that wouldn't do it......
Hi Harry, nice explanation on why you take the magnets out, and I think id do the same thing it's all about the slide and spin, adding weight to the rear always reminds me of when I was back in the UK in the winter, years ago when cars were a rear wheel drive you would throw a couple of paving slabs in the boot when it snowed to get the grip ........colin 😀
Hi Mate ...yes it's way more fun with a bit of controlled drifting . Strangely I've never owned a rear wheel drive car .except for my custom Morris minor. OHH yea and tons of beetles...Ahh ok I had lots of rear wheel drives 🤣 of course the beetles were fun because the engine was already weighing the back down ...of course having a petrol tank in front of my face was interesting 🙃 😂 now I put bags of sand to weight down the back of my Renault trafic 🤭🤣
I bet driving in Latvia at this time of the year is challenging to say the least, we get very little snow here, some years none at all, but it makes me laugh because on the rare occasion it does the locals have no idea how to drive in it, having said that they ain't much better in the good weather 😂😂, .......take care mate ...... Colin ☺️
@droneon29 lol ...yes it reminds me of Ireland. Tha whole country falls apart after two days snow 🤣🤣 we have tons of BMWs in the town here and their driver's have great fun in the snow 🤗 thanks for watching Col 🤗👍
Hi Harry ever knew they had magnets in this day and age my old original scale electric they never had any in the cars used to slide out like your one is doing now more fun 👍👍
Hi Derek...yes they introduced magnets many years ago ...makes racing incredibley unrealistic. A huge percentage of slot racers remove the magnets first thing after buying the cars .Thanks for commenting mate 👍
