Pioneer - SDA-BS1 - What's in the Box? 

The Pioneer SDA-BS1 and SDA-BS100, are designed to detect vehicles going the same speed or faster than your vehicle. Please note, these systems are designed to operate once you've reached a pre-selected speed of about 20 MPH. In order to reduce excessive alerts when you're stuck in traffic, the blind spot detection is disabled below 20 MPH. Each of these Blind Spot Detection systems has a GPS antenna that tells the system your vehicle's speed and will recognize other vehicles with a relative speed near 0 in the next blind spot detection zone. For example: If your vehicle is going 65 MPH and a vehicle that has come up behind you and is now in your blind spot is also going 65 MPH the system is designed to detect this vehicle, because it knows you're moving at 65, and anything that is keeping this pace must also be moving. The Pioneer SDA-BS1 is a stand alone product. It does not need any aftermarket in-dash receiver or factory in-dash receiver to operate. It will work just fine in a vehicle with no receiver at all. As of 2020 December it is not designed to integrate with any Pioneer receiver.
