Good call on those bias trimmers. I've rebuilt more than a few of the early Pioneers, and about 40% of them come to me with bad bias trimmers and shorted outputs. Love the sound. I have an SX-2500, which I won't be parting with.

I probably should’ve replaced the rest of them while I was in there. Thanks for watching.

@@Wil_Bloodworth I have never seen a DC balance trimmer go bad in this series. Go figure.

They certainly do. I was going to give this one to a family member but she passed away unexpectedly. Now, I don't know if I want to hang onto it or just sell it and get it out of the house.

I would replace all trimmers, they fail often. In my SX-990 I used BC161/141 for TO-39 transistors. Good job!

That is a great idea Paul. Not sure why I didn't think of that. Thank you!

Hi Wil, Excellent vid! What is the frequency of your Ultrasonic cleaner? I have damaged some solid aluminum knobs using an ultrasonic cleaner that is 40kHz (55c for 20 min) and read that you need 78kHz for aluminum.

Hi Steve, it's 40kHz. I haven't heard about the 78kHz cleaners so I will look into that. Thank you for watching and the comment!
