Pious, yet Evil - Mufti Menk 

I‘m a Muslima and I don’t have any friends because I don’t gossip. If you don’t gossip in today’s Muslim sisterhood you are called boring. Maybe I’m boring but at least I will not give away my little good deeds to pay off other people on judgment day. Edit: Barakallahu feekh/ feekhi Thank you all for your kind word and good wishes. Sometimes these there are people that are trying to become good Muslims yet they have some habits that are very hard to let go. May Allah help these people.

"When will I know I'm pious?" "When you realize you're a sinner" "When will I realize I'm a sinner?" "When you think you're pious"

For 24/7 days I am constantly living with these types of people and after I studied Al Quran 's some meanings, I learnt a lot and became patience instead of abnormal. Subahan Allah!!

We have to watch this repeatingly since we are forgetful.

This is something I want more people to bring up. I don't mean to be disparaging to our parents and family, but a lot of them, especially the much stricter ones, engage in narcissistic or even abusive behaviours in the name of piety and apparent faithfulness to the deen. I've seen parents abuse their children, and aunts and cousins spread horrible rumours about X person doing this or that, like "Oh she doesn't wear hijab, how disgusting" or "He divorced his wife, what a horrible man he must be" and try to justify those words because they themselves are "pious" and so can look down on others. It's a disgusting thing to do, and I'm glad this video exists to raise that issue and shed light on behaviour like this. Jazak Allah khair

When I hear people backbite e.g “that girl is such a cow” etc. I cringe so much I feel bad but I’m scared to correct them in case they think I’m annoying haram police. But I’m not saying I’m an angel. Sometimes I gossip without knowing.I hope Allah forgives us all. 🙏🏼❤️

I stumbled upon this video and I have to admit that these were my doings in the past (Astagfirullah) and now I am trying my very best to not doing it again and making amends through those sins. May Allah forgive each one of us from our sins as we make amends through it, Ameen.

I have some friends who do their prayers at time, recite Qur'an daily. But yet gossip about people, say abusive words, misbehave with the teacher. They think it's fun. I was very quiet when I first came to my high school. My new friends made me very talkative. After 2 years I realized what I've turned into. In 2020 Corona pandemic, I was in my house, away from those friends. I felt what I've become & started to change myself into the old, boring Me....which I'm proud to be. It's never late to change ❤

I feel that i'm one of this people. Although i don't do gossip or all those great evil deeds to others, i feel i wronged my parents and friends too much. I need to start reflecting soon, may allah accept all of our good deeds in the judgment day

Ok, I am not Muslim, and I have grown up in a Christian family, but the more I learn about Islam, the more and more I become afraid of what's going to happen to me after my own death. Never have I felt so, uncertain after watching this video. I don't know Arabic because I live in America so I have never even seen the Quran physically! I'm not over 18, so I live with my parents, so I have no idea what to do!

Even after hearing this, these people won't change. One amazing fact is that such people are full of pride. So they won't watch these kind of informative videos. And if we try to enlighten them, they'll blame us instead. These hypocrites are such a narcissistic people, that they always gaslight those who try to criticize them.

Perfect description of my father. He does all that mandatory and supplementary acts of worship yet...he is so cruel. Especially to my mom, my sisters, and I. When my mother died, he told my uncle the wrong address for where my mother's body was being held. He also refused to give us her death certificate when we needed it to finish some final paperwork. It took us 2 days to find the proper funeral home that had my beloved mother! We couldn't even attend her janaza prayers because he didn't tell us where it was, at what time, and did not give the proper location. Instead he invited all these people to that barely knew my mother or did not like my mother while she was alive. Yet HER OWN CHILDREN WERE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND because he "forgot" to tell us and "we didn't ask". We could barely afford to pay for her funeral so people made donations to help. He used some of that sadaqa to pay a third of the amount and told the funeral director that us girls would be paying the rest. Without telling us anything! He withheld the rest of the money and tried to deposit it into his bank account. He was going to keep all the money for himself but when we told other family members what he had done and that us girls were expected pay for the rest of her funeral, the rest of the money mysteriously appeared that he claimed he" didn't have". This is just a SNIPPET of the evil that we have endured at the hands of this man. If I was to sit here and write all he has done to us, it would be the length of a book. This post is long enough as it is. My mother was very pious Muslim woman. She was so kind, very forgiving, patient, observed proper hijab, tried her best to follow what Allah commanded us to do and left what he forbade us to do. It breaks my heart that after suffering 35 years of his cruelty and he couldn't even respect her enough to get her buried properly. Alhamdulliah that Allah granted me such a mother that she was such a good example of what it means to be a MUSLIM WITH GOOD CHARACTER. She was such an amazing human being and my only prayer is that Allah grants her Jannatul firdaous and that she is with the good people in Akhira. Amen

Oh my Allah!! I have really met someone like her, very similar. 😨 May Allah increase their knowledge!
