Would be nice if the white dial was a voltage indicator for the battery, wouldn't have been difficult to do.

First I had to sell one of my kidneys to get an iPhone 10 now I guess I have to sell the other one to buy one of these. I mean who needs kidneys anyways! 😁

I have one of these, and just ordered the Pip Boy 2000 MK VI kit...I'm going to see If I can convert it using a Raspberry Pi 3. There are mods and software on the web to download. And yes, everything you see here is how it works for the 3000. It is not the shell version where you use your cell phone and put inside. It is a stand alone Pip Boy.

For a deluxe edition, it sure is lacking in features. No crystal radio receiver? No working Geiger counter, no heartbeat monitor, no flashlight, and why isn't the dongle a usb plug? Those parts would have been very cheap/easy to implement. I don't know why they didn't.

Why are unboxings so satisfying?

I got one of these from a friend as a gift. It was awesome for the first 2 months. Then the screen went dark, and never came back. My friend had gotten two for him self, but both of them went dark too. He sent them back, and once he got them back one went in storage... the other got used a handful of time, and went dark again. He contacted them again, but now they dont support their product. Huge paper weights.

Is this an actual pip boy and not just a plastic shell that you put a smartphone in? Edit: not yet a real pip boy but close. Needs to either play the fallout 4 soundtrack or pick up real radio stations.
