Introducing Pipeline Tap Tremolo, our new tap tempo, TonePrint enabled Tremolo pedal! Whether it's vintage vibes or modern madness that floats your boat, Pipeline has got you covered! Learn more: bit.ly/pipeline...
So much yes. I never sent TC a threat but I've wanted a tremolo ever since my first TonePrint pedal seven years ago. Yeah there was a wait but I love how TC has been able to combine ingenuity and giving the people what they want with their designs of late. This thing totally seems worth the wait!
please place the same tap-tempo on your delays now, it looks much handier than the current audio-tap mode that you can't actually use while you play as you lose signal
No, really! Cause when you're on stage and you f...d up with the audio tap in the beginning of a song so you'll have out of sync delay till the end of that song. And especially when you must start on 3, you have only one shot :) cause usually you can't strum on 1 and have to begin from 2)) Like 1 - 2 (strum) - 3 (should start to play) - 4. There's no room to tap))
Just got mine yesterday... There really isn't a tremolo type or sound that you can't achieve with this thing. Looking forward to more TonePrints. Excellent pedal TC!
If you guys do a version 2 of this pedal, I would request an external tap input. I like to sync my tremolo sounds to the band tempo, and that would make it much easier to do. Awesome pedal otherwise.
I feel like this pedal was waaay under the radar. I have an idea for a new version of this pedal. External tap tempo out jack and expression pedal out. Also having a knob for many different stock wave forms instead of the dip switch. I could see how the tone print feature on this pedal could really help me design the synth like hard ramp down feature ive been chasing for so long. This and a wide two button box would be a dream come true. Endless possibilities that would really satisfy everyone’s tremolo needs
@tc electronics, missed opportunity for a stereo tremolo! Al the controls/toneprint features are great!! Maybe for the Pipeline Tap Tremolo Version 2 we can see some stereo features? like "harmonic tremelo" (let users control the phase difference between L/R channel, or even have the phase difference oscillate, or have it chase like this: R->L -> L ->R like ping pong) =D
Toadworks, now TEN Effects made a harmonic tremolo that was the ultimate tremolo you are looking for. It was also called the Pipeline and was mint green. I am sure TC Electronics took the Pipeline name and design when Toadworks stopped making theirs. It is hard to find now that it has been discontinued but it had a stereo out to separate the low and high pass filters and you could run them to separate amps. There probably is not a lot of demand for such an expensive and specialized pedal. I love mine and I'm glad I got it when I did!!! It is a rare bird now.
I wish it had a tap tempo INPUT JACK to use a separate tap button so you didn't have to hold the pedal down 2 seconds before you want to change the tempo. Maybe on the next revision. An input jack for tap would be useful both for much simpler operation and for using an external trigger like the Truetone Time bandit or other trigger that can dial in specific exact BPM tempos through a tap tempo jack.
Hello, it says analog dry-through. Does it mean that Depth=0 is totally dry and Depth=full is a totally digital and volume-modulating signal ? Or is even the volume-modulating part analog ? Thanks for your feedback !! By the way it would be great if you release a multi-modulation pedal including Tremolo, Vibe, Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Vibrato and and also Octaver to beat the EHX Mod11. :) With Mash, Tap tempo and Stereo. If it's good people will buy more than one. Would sell more than just making a V2 to of the current modulation pedals. The thing is we can't put every modulation pedal on a small board and we need 1 modulation effect per song, usually. Also it should sound good with everything at noon so we just need to turn the Mode knob. It's a real problem on the EHX Oceans11, it doesn't rembember the settings well and changes to easily and sounds trebly but their tap system is good. What about an external wireless tap tempo that commands all delay and modulation pedals, with a mini on-off toggle and no set-up (and no bugs) or maybe a midi jack. :)
Sounds great, but that hold to tap function just don't work in a live situation. I was hoping the tap function would work like the ehx canyon, just tap the tempo while the pedal stays on
With the EHX Canyon you can indeed tap right away but it doesn't stay on. It trails. You have to tap 2 or 4 times (Off-On, Off-On). Tap two times is enough. I think that's a pretty good system. You need to stop playing for just 1 second basically. I have the Oceans11 with that system for the echo mode (not tremolo mode) but I think it sounds too trebly. It's good for the Spring mode though.
I bought this pedal from a seller on Reverb. It was advertised as "brand new" but there was no owner's manual/booklet in the box. Is the pedal supposed to come with an owner's manual? Thanks.
Hi Aaron! The manual is only available online - There's a quick start guide right here: www.tcelectronic.com/Categories/Tcelectronic/Guitar/Stompboxes/PIPELINE-TAP-TREMOLO/p/P0DDJ/Downloads#googtrans(en|en)
Can this trem do a Justin Timberlake 'My Love' intro synth pattern (so-called 'trance gate'), chopped triplet closed-closed-open hh beat? No other trem comes close to this one option-wise so I'd love to know if it can do this before I buy it...
I'll check it out. I do have to say that the sounds on the video are mostly, to my ears, really bad but it's not the tremolo. Harsh, nasty sounds fed into a pedal that appeals to a lot of fairly traditional sound players. Just got your Helicon and am very happy with it.
"Press and hold for 2 seconds for tap tempo" is the same as "it doesn't have tap tempo at all". Press and hold is way too cumbersome to be used in a live setting while the guitar player also sings. TC Electronic should have a look at the Nu-X Atlantic Smart Tap and implement it via firmware. Otherwise the pedal should be called "Pipeline No Tap Tempo" or "Pipeline Tap Tempo But Not Really".
My unit is malfunctioning, the volume and subdivision knobs do not work. Your website does not offer any firmware for this product. You user forum has no posts about this product, and I can't start a new post because the forum is not allowing new registration. What is up with this company? This has been a awful user experience.
Hi Shawn. So sorry to hear about this. There's no firmware currently available for Pipeline. If you can send us a private message on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter ... wherever, we'll help you out asap 🙂
It sounds great, looks great, and I think that the price will be great, but that tap tempo feature and the way it work, pressing the switch 2 seconds, is completely rubbish! Its not useful at all in a gig! You guys should've made the pedal with at least a tap input jack.
I disagree. I would have no problem whatsoever. If you need immediate tap trem syncage in your songs you must be in some insane prog fusion power trio.
Let's just commemorate our giant man crush already. Tore Mogensen has personally convinced me that I needed to buy 5 TC Electronic pedals and 2 Polytune Clips. We need to show him the love #toretshirtnow.
