Nice! I fly my J3 out of an airport with a grass strip about 180 miles southeast of you. I love landing in fields and at other grass strips in the area. One of the RC club strips is large enough to land/take off. Great fun!
Real nice J3 what is a 100 horse electric start ? I just finished the 1940 N26991 1/2 years ago 75 horse.I'd like to know what camera you're using. Look me up. Thanks
It is the C85 stroker engine so it's right at 100hp and it does have an electric start. Besides that, it's all original. I use an insta360 one x2 attached to a boom pole and the pole is attached to my wing strut.
@lowlevelflyer A good buddy of mine built up an 85 like yous in a Champ. Too cool will look into that camera. Love my Cub Sunshine is her name. X07 Thank for your reply... Salty Y
Good stuff dude, I suggest you do a bit more of comentary that is louder then the music. also also you can try make your 360 stay in one place, speed it up and blur it for a good time lapse, I suggest speeding up by 15 times. Or you can use different music for different phrases of the flight.
I'll say thanks for the suggestion, but I make the kind of videos that I would like to watch. I'm not trying to gain a following. It's simply a flying video so that's what I want the majority of it to be. I like watching planes fly the way they normally would... not a sped up version of it.
Thank you! I am a commercial pilot but not an airline pilot. I chose the cub for three reasons. 1. My little kids can sit in front of me and I can easily get to them as opposed to them sitting behind me. 2. The performance and low operating costs. 3. The pure nostalgia and history of the J3 is really interesting to me. Many WWII pilots started out in this very plane. I have the paperwork to prove it!
