Hello. This worked great for the LED strip on the stairs. I've had someone message me so they can do the same so thanks for the video and responses. Currently I use a smart plug to tell the strip to only come on at night but if you were to add a light sensor and get rid of the smart plug, how would you wire it?
If you open that white cover on PIR sensor you can see a connection point marked RL, You can solder a LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) on that to sense motion only at night time.
Hi...Electro Retro .. really great work 👏👏 can I have circuit with out any relay ..I need simple Hi 9v battery with 4 led PCB design PDF. Ready to itch
Nice. Just two questions: 1) Can I use 12V LED strip 5 meter or long? 2) I want to use two PIR sensor for my automatic stair case light. So how to do that?

What about the transistor and diode value? Will it be the same... Thank you for the quick reply. Im not from electronic background so can you please tell me
How to connect a 12V LED strip light directly to the sensor without using any resistor or transistor or a relay. The LED strip light will be powered by 12V 5A driver. The setup will be mounted underneath the kitchen platform. The LED strip light should turn ON when the drawer is opened.
sir, I did everything as per this video. but my bulb is always turned ON. I checked my PIR and the voltage is coming properly, my relay is in proper connection (NO)... what are the possible problems?
@@ElectroRetro I did and did not change at all. means it remained the same value.. Should i need to change PIR and check again? also, NPN or PNP version matters?

What would happen if remove them and connect LED strip light directly? Reposting as I can't find my previous same comment.
@@ElectroRetro What would happen if neither of these are used and the strip light is directly connected. Will the light get damaged or the sensor? Or nothing will be damaged and the LED won't glow?
@@ElectroRetro Thanks for responding. If you have spare sensor and some time, request your kind hello to try that configuration and confirm if it's working or not. I don't have spares, hence the request. Thanks.
Hello I'm not getting anything from the led strip. It's only 3 leds but is a 1a supply too low? The relay is rated at 10a. Does the negative of the 12v supply go to gnd on the PIR? I'm basically trying to do your setup but without an additional 5v for the PIR but it's throwing me off completely.
@@ElectroRetro hello. Brilliant there is life. There's a clicksound when the motion detector activates. I think it's the relay. Is this normal? Thanks for the help so far BTW, I was ready to give up.
