Pirate Emporium Update - December 2023: Official Sea of Thieves 

Remember before seasons when the Christmas update brought new quests, commendations, and a new game play loop of delivering gifts to the dynamically changing future reapers hideout instead of just re-releasing the same cosmetics and nothing else

We should get call of the bells shanty as a log in bonus on Christmas/christmas eve

The sync between the music and the video is just perfect it makes it all so good. It'd be lovely if the song was available in game for real ! (Maybe as part of a special gift for players on christmas or something ?)

Oh man, I hope they do another one of those events. Where are you up to chase people around the server and trying to force them to sell things so that you can get credit. Those will be even more fun to do now with less people on the servers. Can't wait!

I took a look at "Safer Sea's" and must say, they really are an overhyped bunch of nothing. 🤗 Tall Tale material for anyone who has progressed in any kind of milestones and has since long unlocked pretty much everything worthwhile. But the true cosmetic progress can only take place on the High Sea's. Almost spitefully so. 😏 Come on. This is just like the "PvE path" of the hourglass mode ( _which does not exist_ ). Nothing whole nothing half.

Feels like Rare is desperately trying to bring in a new audience, at the expense of everyone who made the game what it is today.

This game really needs more interesting PvE content tbh More sea monsters...mermen who board your ship Skeleton crews that board your ship could be interesting too. Maybe giant land monsters as well? It needs something to shake things up...game is stale

Now that rare is given in and giving people a small taste of PVE servers, they're just going to continue to demand more and more and more access in their PvE servers until there's nothing you can do on high seas that you can't do on safer Seas, including setting up your own server alliances

Rare, we don’t want emporium cosmetics. We don’t care. We want playable content more than just gold and glory. I understand you need to monetize your game but your game needs to be replayable in order for anyone to care for any of the emporium stuff. The pirate emporium is killing this game. Focus more on good plunderpass cosmetics for monetizing sot. Or create some sort of membership. Maybe allow players to host private pvp servers for a monthly subscription. Make insiders a small subscription for a dedicated player base. Monetize elsewhere and give players cosmetics and goals to achieve in-game rather than this huge focus on emporium. Or, if you need to monetize and have quotas to meet, simply up the price of emporium cosmetics so you can meet your quota and focus on everything else that’s wrong in the game right now. If you look at any other game, skins and cosmetics are very expensive. Fortnite, Apex, Rocket league ect.. All of these games have very expensive cosmetics and people pay for them. $20 easily for 1 cosmetic on these games. Sea of thieves cosmetics are as low as just .80. On one hand that is good, because people can afford them and on the other it creates a huge focus on micro transactions and constantly releasing something appealing on emporium rather than focusing on the state of the game. Point is, monetize sea of thieves in other ways and please focus on the state of the game. Sea of thieves is obviously much more than just cosmetics, but I believe entirely too much focus is put into making cosmetics for the emporium, whilst neglecting the rest of the game. Players aren’t happy and that’s a problem that demands attention more so than a new emporium drop.

Safer seas just in time for christmas. Lets see the cash shop bring in loads of money! crazy thing is if it actually works and then people abandon sea of thieves due to the restrictions they will just improve safer seas and kill off high seas if thats where the cash is. cant wait honestly.

Rare could add rare loot in the Xmas period which unlocks exclusive cosmetics or titles only available in December. And do the same with other times of the year so we can get some more rare collectables going on. 😂🎉

I was hoping for some new festive clothing or at least some Christmas clothing from season 5 should made a return for new players so we can all purchase with dubloons of course.

4 years to get to athena 20. Its harder now more than ever to get athena rep. FOF are rare and you can hop 30 times and find 3, that have reaper 5 sitting at. If you're lucky to find one and get started, you'll get crapped on before you can finish it. I don't see me reaching athena 30 before my cancer kills me. Sad.

Or we could fix cannon ball back tracks I can watch a ball fly past me and im still getting one balled? dont need any cosmetics maybe just some TLC for the actual mechanics

Why should i buy new flags when i have the one cutted? Rare try to fix it but remove the "cut" only in the middle sails, but EVERYONE knows that the real improving came from the cut in the front sails in hourglass.... Rare please let those who play the game make the changes...
