Since this is in Rainbow Neko's universe, I can see the mermaid calling the captain and his crew a bunch of hypocrites. They're suppose to be against the hunting of creatures such as themselves and here is a whole crew acting just like the very thing they hate.
That is entirely true the are canon's and would canonly be against it. But it was either I would have to make a yandere captain Darling or this. And ngl I am not a big fan of yanderes especially making such a sweetheart like this one into a yandere. We all know canonly the Captain would not do this. Okay, so let me get this straight... I'm a mermaid, they're trying to catch me. Cool, okay. Uh... as a mermaid, I am super worried for the health and safety of this captain and his crew because... yeah, nothing truly good ever happens from messing with mermaids and sirens. At least not when they're being used for bait or greed. Especially if we're royalty... because that's how you end up with the whole ocean raging and rebelling against you.
