I’ve been patiently waiting for this episode ever since you started the series. Can’t believe we made it to the end! Congrats Chris! An amazing achievement!
I'm a Pisces Sun & stellium. Thank you for expressing the fact that Pisces can withdraw because we know that we can't take on the world (thank you, Austin). We know that we'd be completely enveloped by individuals or a cause, so sometimes we have to be indifferent.
Absolutely! I’m also a Pisces stellium with a Cancer Moon and ascendant - withdrawal is not necessarily a bad thing, and can often be the best solution to unsafe or entangling situations 👌🏻
Damn. What Austin said about "under different circumstances that could be me"- that hit. THIS concept has been such a huge lesson for me in my life that I've carried with me since I was little. I OFTEN see the world through this perspective. I have no Pisces placements, but my 11H [ networks ] is Pisces : My mother is a Pisces Moon, my brother is a Pisces, my partner is a Pisces rising, and his father and brother are Pisces. Wow.
I gotta say….describing Pisces (I am female) is so hard…words just don’t suffice sometimes….how I feel is so indescribable most of the time….and never ever feel understood by anyone. You get used to being alone even with people that love you . It’s hard to be a Pisces tbh. I feel I outgrow people so fast but yet yearn for company at times…. I have to force myself to be around grounding people so I notice and enjoy the present and little joys versus always being in the clouds. My best relationship so far is with my male Sag …. But I still struggle with sadness and meloncholoy especially being awake and knowing how we are Imprisoned here …since being in the know…the sadness and meloncholy is so much worse.
Pisces stellium (sun/moon/venus/mars) and i've been waiting for this episode for a whole year, ever since Chris started this series! I can't believe we got through all the signs, and it's been a year already. Thank you Chris for making these episodes and finding these guests to help us better understand the signs. Thank you also for bringing on just Austin for this final episode. This more intimate yet deep conversation is perfect for the inward introspective last sign of the zodiac, and i thought the flow between your Scorpio-Pisces trine was just beautiful to experience. All in all, i'm baised but i LOVED this episode. Thank you Austin for representing us ever so well - fluid, mysterious, magical, yet poetic. Much love ❤
I have a pisces moon. I can feel other people's pain. The children in the school shooting. I cried for a week. I could feel their fear. I also cry easily from my feelings. Also have some physic dreams. I had a dream that saved my life. And more!
Are you at all familiar with the Lesser Banishing Ritual? It’s a Kabbalist series of actions that are supposed to protect you. When I finally got myself to do it, it was a blast of energy and a cohesive thrust toward taking control of my own life, kind of. Lots of thing have changed personally since then. I still have episodes of someone else’s feelings overwhelming me. I’ve had to say for decades their feelings are not my responsibility. Now I’m consciously saying I want to help heal others, which I think is healthier. But that’s another series of future events on my path. Pisces Sun trine Neptune.
Austin is just an amazing astrologer and teacher. I just love the way that he explains everything. I can see years of reflection and exploration every time that he speaks.
The older I get as a female Pisces the less I want to be around people…lol….shrinking circle….smaller and smaller….seems you just cannot count on people…. Very few….
I’m a Pisces sun, Virgo rising, Capricorn moon and the part about having nightmares about running out of time is so real I’ve had that same reoccurring dream since I was a child. I fell out laughing. 😂
Same Pisces sun, Cap Moon, and Virgo rising. I think what we fear most is the "point of no return" ..... That commitment, having to make a whole choice which limits us. We just can't do it unless we have ALOT of peace with the outcome.
Happy Birthday! I’m a Pisces Sun, Virgo Rising and Scorpio Moon…. So crazy how all the astrology signs make sense.. ❤ Lately I have felt that (my time) runs so much faster then everyone else, I always don’t have enough time, always running out of time or wishing I could just control my time to sSslooow down 😮
Pisces Stellium (sun, Venus, mercury, & Jup Jup). I love Austin’s interpretation of astrology. His insight and sagacity and humor is just brilliant. New subscriber and absolutely loving all the info! Thanks for sharing your passion with the world, Chris!
This was amazing - Austin your a genius - I wouid love to study with you . I just went thru total confusion w a Pisces and I’m a cancer … this video could’ve saved us a very protracted argument …
Thank you for separating what’s Cancer traits vs Pisces as they tend to be conflated and they are extremely different. Like have ya’ll met a Pisces vs a Cancer. Being empathetic doesn’t mean nurturing or actual caring… Pisces tend to feel and withdraw. Cancer will feel and act - cardinal.
Someone shared a poem with me called the albatross yesterday and it’s this agonizing image of a majestic and powerful creature that gets stuck on a boat and is laughed at by the sailors, rendered powerless and unable to fly. It feels very pisces to me. I have a Virgo stellium and feel very much like that with Saturn in Pisces.
.. and did I just make a list of all these wonderful Pisces isms that you guys beautifully expounded on? 😂 .. Of course I did, and now I’m prepared. I’m ok with getting lost, as long as I have a map. Thank you!
I have a Sun-Neptune conjunction (in Capricorn) and the details of the energy are honestly very similar to the Pisces energy described in this episode. This episode actually helped me clarify some of my pervasive Sun-Neptune themes and brought them to the surface to examine. I only have the north node in Pisces but that’s more of a collective placement.
Thank you very much Chris for these absolutely amazing and enlightening series of episodes. Great philosophical discussions but my god definitely saved the best for last, and nobody could be better than Austin when it comes to Pisces. Speaking from a very Piscean-natured experience, it is tough as it is to talk about the spectrum of experiences Pisces gifts (!) us with but someone like Austin who is brilliant with words - just spot on. You have nailed it guys as much as it can be done and more. Thank you thank you
This episode resonates so much with me. I'm a Pisces Sun in the 8th. With Jupiter in my 12th in Cancer. My favorite things to say used to be " it's not a big deal" for every situation. And as someone who went through a lot of hardship early on, I feel like I do have the experience say that most people's problems are actually not that big of a deal compared to what could happen in the great scheme of things. I got hit by a bus at 18yrs old and went through 14 surgery, was in a wheelchair, had to learn to walk again almost got amputated, almost died.... And when I was healing, I was seeing people around me who had it worst or just had a harder time dealing with their recovery mentally, even if their injury were not as severe as mine... It just put things into perspective for me, and made me feel very grateful. My way of dealing with this was that, this was only a fraction of my life, and that soon enough, it would all just be a memory. So I focused on healing and getting better as fast as I could to be able to go back to my life. I'm now 33 years old, and will forever have the scares and some reduced mobility, but I make it work and I think 18 years old me dealt with this like a champ, and its possibly because of this positive Jupiterian mindset.
I also want to add that while I was recovering, I spent a lot of time alone, very 12th house type of way at a physio center where I stayed for months. And my escapism was reading fantasy novels. I read so many books during that time and it's when I really developed a love for reading fantasy. Back in the day we didn't have netflix, so my family bought me book series and I devoured one after the other. It was really helpful to get away from this reality and just let my body heal and rest while my mind was gone on adventures in magical worlds like Happy Potter, Twilight, Eragon and many more...
Where your Saturn is placed? House and Sign, ability to suffer is link to Saturn strength, not just being a Pisces. Some Pisces just give up and commit suicide right away if Saturn is weak. I had a gf with a weak Saturn and she didn't know how to deal with suffering, would give up right away, she had Saturn in Aries on her Ascendant, one of the worst placement for Saturn. Sometimes she couldn't stay at one place more than 5min.
It's quite possible your placements helped you. Jupiter itself is expansion as well as luck, money, etc. It can also expand the hard things as well depending on its weak or strengthened placement, aspects As for having a positive mindset, no matter what sign, or placement, that is our own choice. My meaning by that is: we can improve any situation that may befall us just by choosing to find the good somewhere in it. Even just accepting that something has happened to us, being in gratitude for whatever we have, even if miniscule, seeing/learning a lesson in it, can move mountains. That pos. mindset you chose, saved you a great deal more grief. Had one been ticked off, angry, resentful, it would have just brought in more reasons to be angry over and hindered healing. The mind really determines what an outcome will be. You kept seeing it as "no big deal" a bump in the road only, and that is just what it became. We get what we can see selves having when we see it like we "already have it" before we actually do. Glad you overcame it. Wishing you the very best! 🙏💖💫🌱🌎
Pisces Sun over here - yeah I started crying when the episode came out. Crying is my love language. Thanks Chris, saving the best for last - literally the last sign of the Zodiac😂
The being late thing is funny. I’m a Pisces moon (night chart) and Mercury and I am late to almost everything. I told my good friend that when I die, they should put on my tombstone; “She got her late and left early.”
Just listening to this reminds me of something I've been studying lately. Mabey Virgo is the particle, and pisces, the wave. Chris asks great questions. I think Pisces are the old souls of the zodiac. Naturals of the dreamtime. They seem much more related to Neptune, where we sort of learn that it's all really a dream. (Thank God ). All we can do is search for our own souls, but in reality, that's all we can find! It's all good. We're all one. Namaste!
Dang you guys... You managed to speak on so much of my chart (my big three & Venus) and I've never felt so understood. As a ♓ sun and Venus, a Scorpio ⬆️ with Pluto, Saturn and Mars in the first house, I want to know ALL the hidden, unknown things, just as you said. I have the North node and a bunch of asteroids, and my sun/moon midpoint in Gemini, so I feel that level Gemini-ness that Austin spoke of. Being born on March 14th, I've always considered Albert Einstein my "spirit animal". I've resonated with the way he came up with his theories...usually wandering around nature, lost in the "Infinity" of it all. One of my nicknames is Absent-Minded Professor Santa Claus, fairly close to the "pantsless professor". You spoke about how Leo and Pisces do not having a lot in common, and with my moon and mid-heaven both being in Leo, it definitely lends an additional air of duality (confusion?) to my personality. My sun and moon just switched places I guess.😅
So, I just found out I'm born one day before Austin. Now I understand why he always says what I want to be said, how I want it said. This is officially my all time favorite TAP session. Bulls eyes all across the board! Chris and Austin together are my all time dream team! Thank you both, you are the best!
Great take on Pisces! I think it would be cool if you did a series on aspects… might be harder to find ppl with certain aspects, but for example: sun/Mercury- sun/Pluto contacts and how that might manifest in the life. Then you could do moon/Mercury- moon/Pluto contacts… like a deep dive into aspects would be very cool. Just a thought!
Discussing Billy Corgan just in time for his bday! The bit about The Smashing Pumpkins and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness reminded of "Violet" by Hole, which is reportedly about Courtney Love's relationship with Billy Corgan. The lyrics, "And the sky was made of amethyst, And all the stars were just like little fish" is allegedly a reference to Billy being a Pisces. The song was written in '91, but not recorded until '93. It was officially released in '94 via the album Live Through This, by which time Saturn had entered Pisces and was Cj his Mercury (just as Mars in Pisces was Cj Billy's Sun). Anyway, a lot of really good stuff in here. I've always been a little bummed I don't have any Pisces placements.
Wow! I just have Sun in Pisces and Neptune trine it. I’m mushy. And get into all sorts of weird situations what with feeling others feelings. How do you bring yourself down to earth?
Saturn in Pisces 1H second Saturn return on its way…. Not being able to understand how to handle this horse I’ve been given to ride brought me to astrology a couple years ago. This video along with Adam @ Nightlight’s last two videos on Saturn in Pisces have done more to help me understand myself than years of therapy ever did. Mind blowing. I’m Okay/Pisces are Okay will be the title of my book. Thank you 🙏 for this fantastic series. Love the Last but Not Least ❤️🥰
As a pisces,, unfortunately on a personal level I've had not great experiences w aquarius. However, for pisces what is fantastic about an aquarius is that they can succinctly describe the concept of a pisces who is often too obtuse when expressing to be understood easily. Aqua can put a period on it, which is appreciated for quantification for a pisces that helps the over-cycling and broadening of the idea with no end.
Empathy i feel is close to what happens but really is much more like absorption and is not necessarily intentional or avoidable by a pisces. So in one fashion I made disagree with empathizing in a situation or person but is unavoidable.
you mentioned the escapism of this sign, like a ship that deviates from a reef [approx 35 min], there is a comparison of the sign of Pisces with the very fish of those species that live together. These shoals immediately change direction when they sense danger, given their sensitivity.
Austin - you’re my piscean astro Twin!!! It was such a pleasure to see the way you approach this whole topic, your body language, your energy… Thank you for your cameo in this episode! All my astro knowledge is self-study. And I’ve probably never taken any hobby sooooo deep on my own. With all the ‘f…k all this astro BS’ bouts and then coming back after a break that the Gemini in me needed not to drawn in it all, but Pisces craved eventually… I have much more understanding and even more compassion to my own inconsistencies (which Saturn and North Node in Virgo doesn’t really accept and forego that easily). May your 12th house Moon manifest all the goodies you want and need- just let your Gemini say it all at a proper time!!!
The “Pisces chain of custody” is also very well shown and told by Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist and Pisces sun and venus John Frusciante who always tells in interviews how he doesn’t care about the riffs he comes up with for the band and that both his riffs as his presence in the band are really there to melt everything together as a whole. He also tells this in Rick Rubin’s podcast. Also a great example of rising, falling and rising back into grace after his heroin years.
Austin, I loved that comment on vices vs virtues comparison when talking about the differences of qualities between the virgo - pisces axis signs qualities. Thank you both. What a gem of a series!
Thanks for another great episode! My Pisces sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in the 12th house are my credentials for being a member of "the Pisces conspiracy" as Austin called it 😊 Another melancholic but prolific Pisces musician worth noting is Nina Simone...
I’m a Pisces Sun and Descendant. I love being a Pisces, BUT I will say that I’m glad I’m a Virgo rising, Aries Moon, and have a Capricorn stellium, otherwise I don’t know how I’d get anything done lol
This is the best analysis of Pisces I have ever heard. Thank you❤! -Moon in Pisces in 4th, Sun conjunct Uranus in Scorpio in 12th, Mars conjunct Neptune in Sag in 1st
OK, so if Piscis is not faith, is the hero in an antihero style. Jesus Christ. Saggitarius is the quester, Pisces is the everyday hero that goes unnoticed until he dies. You know when a Pisces is in the room. You feel it
Pisces Sun & stellium here with an Aqua Rising and Gemini Moon...I feel so at home listening to this 🤣♓Thank you for calling out that when contrasting Virgo-Pisces, most people will do virtue versus vice. And for pointing out the "evasiveness" quality of Pisces - WOW this helped my understanding of my chart significantly more. (Also finding out Austin's birthday is the day before mine 🥳)
I totally feel the Pisces conspiracy club. I attract them like droplets everywhere I go 😉👌🏻 I also have leaned over and over (often the hard way) what is worth sacrificing for. Of my stellium, Chiron, Mars and Mercury are in the 3rd Decan, with Saturn and Sun in the Second Decan. All of this is in the 9th which mitigates the challenges of the Sun in Pisces, but also can lead to overreach and spontaneity that has also caused no shortage of trouble 😅
This is kinda crazy because I also have my north node in Virgo. I was born in 97. I also get reoccurring nightmares that I'm failing a class or that I'm behind on schoolwork despite not going to school. I always have nightmares surrounding being stuck in school not making graduation on time or not keeping up with classes etc. in those dreams I get the feeling that I'm too late and that I didn't do the thing I needed to do on time.
How exciting! 😍 Guys, you are the best! I am a Virgo Sun and Mercury in the 12th house. My ex-partner of 20 years has a Pisces Sun and Mercury. I am fascinated by the energy (and it can be annoying AF too 😜).
29:01 Excellent point Chris. I was able to win a lawsuit at a company I was working for (not fun). That is a war of Attrition, and because of my Pisces Mercury and Venus, I was able to live in an alternate reality. They count of you to break down because of sustained pressure. If you can turn the pressure off on your own by not even being there, but still take care of the P and Q's of court paperwork and appearances (Virgo opposition working in conjunction for the greater good). Escapism can be an incredible weapon.
Thank you Austin and Chris! This has given me a lot to consider. Everything Austin discussed around Piscean characteristics resonated so powerfully, I felt a bit seated and awed by it. But, with no planets in my natal Pisces, Neptune in Sagittarius, and all other major aspects in primarily fire sign, with some air, I can’t seem to draw the connection as to why I am so very Piscean (based on Austin’s detailed description). So much so, does his description align, I felt a bit of a liberating “oh my… that’s where I fit.” - sense of validation. Just not seeing it in my chart. Either way, thanks guys for another informative and thought provoking episode. I appreciate your efforts, time and care that you put into these podcasts. In heart, Lillian
I'm so glad we got Austin for this episode. Pisces is such a liminal sign it's beyond words (a silent sign!), but Austin articulates things really well. There's a multiplicity in Pisces, but it's not the intectual Gemini multiplicity of this thing and then that thing and onto the next. It's the multiplicity of all things at once, of being here and not being from here, of intense Earth bound Venusian pleasure and transcendence back into the pot of the universe. It's believing something deeply, but knowing in your bones that there are different things equally worthy of belief out there, one for each possible life we can live in a single lifetime, and in the end all is One. ❤ I'm a Pisces rising btw.
That’s interesting cause I’m Pisces but very chatty I find I love being super social and talking but need to balance ir with being completely withdrawn and not leaving the house. I do have a ton of aqua tho and close to the cusp also rising in Gemini so maybe these things shift everything it is a whole chart after all. I have a lot of Pisces friends they seem to be the only ppl long term I seem to stay friends with and they are all similar with that needing to withdraw for sure
These observations are Mind Blowing! Pisces Sun, Ascendant and north node here! Needing to take multiple breaks to "feel into" all of this amazing information!! I understand myself so much better now. Thank you both!
Would it be accurate to say that Virgo academically is involved with a single discipline while Pisces is interdisciplinary (seeing past the walls of a discipline and seeing the connections between disciplines) ?
I wonder why you never hear Pisces are related to rivers, as that's how I used to hear it, and it would explain the evasiveness, since rivers can be dangerous and you'd have to be quick to avoid destruction, and can get scruffed up badly floating down rivers. They'd have to be quick thinkers, and naturally psychic. Plus, they feel the emotions but don't get stuck in them, because they're energy is constantly moving. I'm Scorpio, moon in Cancer, born year of water dragon, so learning much about water in this life time. Fantastic podcast!!!
A great episodes with many insights I'm familiar with having had many close Pisces friends through the ages. Chuckling at the comparison and contrast of Pisces with Cap as I know a couple who've been together for > 40 years, (met as children). She (♓sun and rising) uplifts her often despondent husband with her goofy optimism and playfulness. And instead of Goth Industrial, they got me in to Americana music. They are a solid couple, she also has a Cap moon.
Pisces Sun, Mercury, Venus, and North Node (3H) and I'm already relating to this only 30 minutes in. I'm a Cancer moon and Sag Rising. I'll definitely be checking those out as well.
Austin--thanks for talking about Leonard Cohen. Moon in Pisces and that sharp Virgo Sun. He wrote such great music, Famous Blue Raincoat, I'm Your Man, Bird on a Wire, Tower of Song...the list of great songs is huge.
i'm a pisces rising, and it's fascinating how Austin's insight is (fittingly) illuminating towards a sign that's both intimately known to me (I prefer my dreamscape to reality; i am motivated by the spiritual well and truly far and away more than life concerns), but also strangely foreign. I only have my ascendant there, and it feels almost like the canvas upon which my other placements are painting, and doing the heavy lifting of being. But I also disagree about some of his understanding of things, which might be the difference between it being a luminary sign for him and a rising sign for me, like his ego and a decent sum of his being rests in that place, whereas it's only my entry point, it's only my canvas. I can say the thing that keeps me on reefs and stuck not moving on my boat is existential fears. Learning how to actually harness the piscean nature within, to travel to the places I want to go, is what i live for. I seek to grow as I want spiritually. Failures, setbacks, etc. are easy to adapt to, because there's an expectation of failure, and a lack of attachment to most specifics, but there is a recurrent fear that I cannot go where I wish to take myself, so I beach my ship and end up getting drunk on coping mechanisms. The fear that I must either accept terms I cannot possibly abide, or stay on the shoals, eternally. Face deaths over and over, waking and dreaming, to no real resolution or point, makes me want to drop anchor and disappear into a poppy's dream
I love your description of how it feels at times. I have Jupiter in Pisces. I have Sun in the 1st house so really feeling all that Pisces truth is almost too much misery for me to tolerate.
I consider Mercury in Pisces to operate similarly to an Epimethean Mercury, where Mercury sets after the Sun. This is frequently seen in philosophers' charts. It reconsiders, ponders, wanders, goes deeply and more slowly to thoroughly probe the matter. Jung thought that an Epimethean Mercury indicated a problem, but in my experience, it depends on other factors in the chart, particularly Saturn and its relationship to Saturn. Leonard Cohen is a good example with an Epimethean Mercury and Saturn in Aquarius trined by Jupiter.
Swimming with those who are eager to 'dive deep' (a Pisces call tag...) Namaste to our regular host, the most critical teacher, Chris (wrote the 'woke' book first) Brennan, and the perennial teacher, Austin Coppock, Lord of the War Peacocks...I am just celebrating the first "pool party" that I have actually ENJOYED!
Hi Chris and Austin, Is it true that the original Pisces gliph was a mermaid. Maybe she will return. Thanks for all the humour and laughs that I get from your friendship and subtle jokes. Keep your pants on!!!! Smiles all round. Keep up your fabulous work.
Thanks for your talks on this. My bf is an aqua sun Pisces moon and it was hard for me to understand his need for isolation but I think I better understand now
I think of equanimity in Virgo and enlightenment in Pisces and how those terms are used in Buddhism. Equanimity is one of the first "peaks" one is said to experience on the road to enlightenment... But eventually you realize that equanimity isn't the ultimate goal, even if it feels nice to have everything seem Just So. So after finally achieving equanimity (virgo) you spend a bit of time floating about in the feel-good everything's so pleasant vibe (Libra) before plunging again when you realize there's more work to do (scorpio).
love the insight to my pisces moon.. talk about avoidance...i havent watched the news in over 2 years.. i just cant...i had chalked it up to my stellium in cancer..... thank you for this !!!!
Jah & Jahes love. I learned so much about Pisces from this podcast. And, for that, I am very grateful to you guys. I have Pisces North Node with Virgo South Node. I also have a Stellium of planets in Virgo in the 11th House. I feel that I aspire to be a Piscean, and I'm working to be a fully rawganic vegan and empath. But, I'm still a Gemini Sun with Mercury conjunct in the 8th House. And, I have been too much in my feelings-probably because of my Scorpio Ascendant. I am learning to be still and to go on with life even though there is so much to be sad about. I remember when Kurt Cobain committed suicide, I was in Graduate School at UPenn and it was really sad. I loved the grunge culture and he was one of the superstars that made it popular. Blessed love. #1804 #Ayiti #ToutMounseMoun #HousingfortheHomelessNow #AbolishCPS #DefundFosterCare #ProChoice #RawVeganforLife
2:03:50 I appreciate this discussion so much, I have 2 kids, one a triple pisces and another a scorpio stellium and even as youngsters they seem to have a beautiful natural synergy between them
wow thank you for the great episode🎉 the third decan part was relatable. I have mars-sun-Saturn conjuct by 2 degrees in the 3rd decan 4H (Mercury there as well in a different decan) & I chased a dream for 6 years realizing it was all for the wrong reasons😂
Just heard the rest of that list and it sure seems to me as if it was written by someone who doesn't like or understand Pisces-ness. Extremely biased characterizations of our traits imho.
