Sir, hope you don't mind I point something out to you. I think if you were to reel the line into the spining reel, you need to release the locking mechanism by loosen up the knob on the top of the Piscifun Fishing Line Spooler so the line feeding spool can spin freely (of course you need to adjust the tension accordingly) otherwise you will have line twisted when you go fishing. For the casting reel you need to have the line feeding spool be stationary, so the eye in your casting reel will move back and forth to accommodate the line feeding in.

With a spinning reel, the spool needs to spin while you're winding the line

@@castcatch333 It needs spin in a planetary fashion to remove the line twist coming off the line spool. I find holding it vertical works best. If you were not using a line spooler like this and just spooling it "freehand", you would lay the spool flat and make sure the line is coming off the spool counter-clockwise. You can do this easily at home by utilizing your rod and just the first line guide (no need to string up the whole rod), and slowly spooling it onto the reel with a little finger tension on the line. If you spool it wrong, you will line twisting issues.
