Thanks for your reply. What does it run like on a really cold morning if you set off straight away without warming it up? Would you need to keep the choke on??
no problem,if i Ride it on a cold morning with out warming up it has a bit less power and is less responsive but after 1min the bike is warmed up enough then you will feel the power and its then very responsive, so you can ride the bike with out warming up just for the first minute you should ride bit slower its not really like a crf150r that dies if you try to ride it if its cold
@@speedsteed How long did your CRF150R take to start on freezing cold mornings? How much choke did that usually need? What was that like pulling up a really steep hill when the engine was cold?
@@robinprice4877 the crf150r is probably the dirtbike that takes the longest to warm it would take 4min plus a bit of riding with choke on before its the right tempreture, if you would just rev it would die when its cold and if you tried riding it cold it will keep bogging unless you ride with choke on and it would die on a steep hill its probably becuase of the type of carburettor the bike comes with , but if you have a kx 125 it wouldnt. bolg or anything you could just ride it instantly but maybe for first minute ride with choke on it brings the bike to its right tempreture fast
@@speedsteed Hey mate you know good stuff. What's the bike you've ridden that took the longest to start on electric start? How long did it take on freezing cold mornings? And what bike have you ridden that needed the most choke?
@@robinprice4877 all the electric start bikes fire right up every time if the battery is at the right amount of voltage if the voltage is a bit low it wil probably take few seconds but i always put the choke on to start, and the bike that needed the most choke was the crf150r because of its racing carburettor, the four strokes and the two strokes take about the same amount of kicks if you daily ride them they would fire up first kick, if its a alot colder it would take about 5 kicks
it takes about 5 kicks on cold mornings with choke on if its been ridden recently if not it will take about 10 kicks and then i will let it warm up for about 2min
