They were such a well kept secret for people in the know. They used to be $400 brand new and for such a great pistol it was a steal! Now you’d be lucky to find one below $600
Great basic information. Fully concur on leaving a new pistol alone until you run it. See many new shooters worried about stippling, RMRs etc. Instead of just shooting it first. Case of ammo is one of the best trigger jobs in my opinion.
A USMC buddy of mine got an AR earlier this year and used his stimulus check, get this, on a $1000 Trijicon ACOG rather than $80 for some MBUS sights like I told him to do. Why? Because the Marines didn't teach him irons and he didn't even want to learn them. He is a crack shot with the ACOG, but my eyes ROLLED when I saw what he did.
@@JohnSmith-xv2ob I've heard about that. Guys are getting Aimpoints, Ecotec, and Acogs right in basic. They aren't taught irons and even quality with red dots. Everyone should learn irons 1st and only after shooting them well they can move to red dots or a LPMO. What's going to happen when a Marine's M16 take a 7.62x39 to it's optic and they dont know how to shoot irons. I get dots are faster, easier, and sexier but Irons are always going to work no matter what.
Right on with the trigger pull. I'm looking for a aftermarket trigger around 4lb range nothing less. I don't want to sneeze and it goes off 🤣. Not to mention being in a high stress situation or confrontation and have an accidental discharge, then it's all fubar!
Love this guys way of thinking! You do you and what works for you! This is what I do and what works for me and if it can help you awesome if not also cool! No ego just solid thinking, focused on training and results. Much respect sir.
Great advice. I put 2000 rounds and hundreds of hours dry firing my Glock 19 stock. After years and years, I’ve tried 5 different triggers and many connectors. What do I run now? Stock (German) rounded Glock trigger and a 4.5 Ghost connector. Pulls right around or just under 5lbs. TLR-7 has the best activation for my hands. Only downside is if you carry on the hip the light won’t lock into a kydex holster like most lights. This is due to its low profile shape, so you’ll probably want some extra retention.
@@prometheusprime6404 I could be wrong but a carbine and rifle are in different categories like a magazine and a clip. But if I'm wrong feel free to correct me. We have to know our terminology. 👌💪 but by yourself a rifle as well. My weapons @csonkaprint instagram
Bladetech Tek-lok are what the knife kydex & the first mag pouches use to attach to the belt . Tek-lok is a fantastic system that almost every "tactical gear" company use . T-Rex Arm's , Z9,& other really good kit maker's use Tek-lok .. big fan
Great video. Thanks for all the info. Going to look into the Blackhawk holster for my G19. Unfortunately, can’t get the Canik out here in California for a reasonable price.
I started with the cz shadow 1 when I bought a striker fired pistol I was shocked how bad the trigger was and how I went from a excellent shooter to a below acceptable shooter, upgrade the trigger.. better. Yet other striker fired owners shot my gun just fine, it was me not the gun.
Do you like M&P 2.0 pistols ? Just curious more than anything...I bought a Glock and sold it and bought an M&P 2.0. Now I have several M&P's I just love them
I live M&P's also because they fit me and I don't have to spend more money getting the pistol to fit me. Just seems that M&P's have fallen down in people's opinions and I can't find any particular reason why. Springfield has come up and if you talk M&P you are kind of looked down on. Never thought I'd have problems finding holsters for S&W's.
Update: a day after watching this video, I had a half work day. Went to one of my favorite gun dealers and they had this Canik on the wall soon as the shop received delivery of it. Needless to say I purchased it and I can't wait to get it to the range!
I love my canik. And have run multiple gunruns and 2 gun races with it thru mud water u name it. For a cheap pistol it runs right up there with glock guys
I have glock19 gen4 with fiber optics and olight mini for my carry. Im planning to change my fiber optics into burris fastfire lll red dot sight. Any comment or suggestion sir? Nice video content btw..
Ray I run the fiber optic sights on my Glock 19. They pick well in the light and at night I use a handheld light to help me identify threat and give some light to my sight. I’ve had different night sights and even try the stock sights on my Glock. I don’t touch my trigger. Just run a lot of ammo thur it and will eventually smooth out very nicely. Note: I have a Gen 3 model.
he's probably never shot one... but if you look at the vast reviews on it here on youtube the gun typically gets a glowing recommendation. I personally have one and love it.
