I'm replacing my Pit Boss Austin XL Igniter and then another problem presents itself.
I bought a $500 Pit Boss Austin XL pellet smoker from WalMart for $150! Yeah...$150. They told me that it was a return and I could not return. It was sold as is. I love smoking some good BBQ, but I'm a purist. I use only stick wood smokers and an internal thermal for some meats. Pellets seem lazy. I don't how you could get anything close to real deal. But, maybe this doesn't have to be as good. Maybe it produces "good enough" flavor for what it is.
I can see the benefit of pellet smokers. Quick. Easy. Effortless, really. But, again, I'm a purist.
Anyway....it would not ignite. Everything else worked great. So I ordered an igniter off Amazon for $18 and I'm gonna replace it. It was so simple! Suoer quick and easy. Turns out, I'm a horrible pellet smoker owner. It got wet. And the guy who returned it left a few pellets in the hopper. I knew they were there. I also knew that it they got wet they would expand 4x. Now, I ordered a cover for my Put Boss Austin XL the same day I got home with it. When I shot this video it still has not came in.
Any type of moisture is a big no-no. Well, mine got wet and now the pellet auger is jammed. So, in my next video we'll be fixing that issue on my $150 smoker.
Nothing has changed, we still shoot on our GoPro Hero 9 Black, and we're still loving it.
