@roadrunninhustla42x for sure. Have fun with it. Try lumberjack pellets or bearmountain. The best ones to use are smoken pecan. But you have to order them on line
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ thanks for the suggestion I have the bear mountain pellets right now I’ll order a few bags of the smoken pecan cheers nd blessings your way bro
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ as a suggestion for your first cook if you haven’t done it already, I’d love to see some ribeyes made on or even a small brisket, I’ve never made brisket before.
Looks like a nice option with the controller, Have to say my Lexington is a GREAT smoker, there is nothing i can do on it, that I do on my Stick burner, barrel or Kettle, Good stuff Scotty keep up the good work!
You don't have to keep holding the prime button once you get a few pellets on the auger..once you get a few pellets inside you can stop and it should ignite
I am looking at getting one of these today. I would be seasoning with jack daniels pellets. Do they not recommend putting pellets in the firepot for seasoning it. You can't beat the grill for the warranty it comes with
What I’ve noticed is most companies focus on larger models and say they do everything a gas grill does as well as smoke things. For me I’m not looking for a do everything grill. I like the convenience of a propane grill (I use a Napoleon Prestige 500). I mainly want a dedicated smoker for brisket and other things. The smaller pellet “grills” seem to regulate temp better and are more efficient at smoking meat than larger ones. Is that a fair assessment?
Been eyeballin this grill online. My question is: what is the bottom grill size? Not in square inches but length and width? Unfortunately my local Wal-Mart is out so I can't take a looky-see
I'm going to smoke a entire venison backstrap with a honey garlic sriracha finishing glaze Just ordered my grill It should be here today thanks for the cool video @@ScottysBackYardBBQ
It's 1:05 cail time. Let it burn out for an hour just got a cover for it . I'll be cooking tomorrow on it thanks it's easy when someone else does all the work. Thank you.
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ That's comforting to hear. Thanks for the quick response. I was worried about size because I my extended family is huge and I usually grill burgers/pork steaks once a couple months and have everyone over. I was using a charcoal grill about twice the size of this Lexington. So, while I could have twice the amount of meat on the grill than I can with this Lexington, I was also dealing with slow cooks/fighting temperature. I'm thinking with this Lexington, not having to fight the the temp will speed up cooking and it won't be such a hassle anymore.
I got an Err code during a cook. Looking in the book it wasn’t a code that was listed, just Err. Any idea what it could be? I looked at the pellet box and it seemed low so filled it.
My top grate hangs right on there bottom grates wont but top will I just bought the Lexington onyx I was curious about the bolts sticking out aswell and went and looked on the box and it said it was to hold grate dont know why yours wont fit
