This lady is the exception rather than the norm in Wisconsin on dog ownership however she is definitely not playing with a full deck at the time and should have been charged with obstruction of justice at the minimum. She said she is taking the dog in for behavioral euthanasia the next day. If you have never had to do that it's not an easy process. Most vets want owners to try training and a series of medications before they'll put the dog down. Most owners also need to come to terms with killing their pets. She is doing the right thing by scheduling the BE. The cops should stop being pussies and get the dog under control. It's a danger to society. It should be dragged into the nearest shelter and put down after going after the cop. Or just shot to begin with.

When something goes wrong and they just deflect, deny, blame-shift, etc., it's not hard to see. One of the cops asked, "This is YOUR dog, right?" after the owner said stuff like, "Why wouldn't YOU...just tase him?" and "...are ya gonna wait for another officer to get bit?" and "This is why I called YOU guys but nobody did nothing." She tries to make it sound like although it's her dog, the cops are to blame when SHE owns it but can't control it. It's a pretty safe bet to say she holds others responsible for whatever goes sideways in her life. You don't have to be a mind reader to figure this out.

@ToutCQJM I would argue that only a select few should have. I'm a dog walker. The number of times I've seen owners with their pits that couldn't control them verses me taking control of them are too many to count.

That was my thought. My dog was put on a medication. Warnings included may cause drowsiness...possible hyper activity, aggression. We ended up with only the hyper portion. My dog standing on the kitchen table at 2am after doing miles of zoomies through the house and eating everything in sight.

And then this poor dog is responding to the owners mania.

@@marypopa8937 as a former vet tech there are TONS of medications that cross over. Levothyroxine, Benadryl, benzodiazepines, Pepto Bismol…you can absolutely give animals *some* human medications-but not just all willy-nilly like she did.

I dated someone who was in NO WAY qualified to own a bully breed. I sat for it one weekend and noticed that it was showing signs of confusion about the pack order and this would lead to agression...she didn't listen. Low and behold it attacked a few weeks later. She adopted it out and adopted another bully the same day. I broke it off right then and there. A few months later see a Facebook post asking for help to pay a vet bill for another pet she owned that her new bully adopteee attacked. Some people REFUSE to acknowledge hoa dangerous these dogs can be, they are bred to FIGHT and KILL. I for the life of me do not understand why anyone wants to own these things.

She should've been charged with Animal Abuse on top of other things & held responsible for every Medical cost. It's people like her that have ZERO clue or business even having ANY strong willed Breed of dog. She herself said the dog was only about a year & a half & the Vet told her a YEAR ago it had aggression issues, SHE ruined it's life as a puppy & CREATED/CAUSED that dogs behavior & everything that happened & cost that poor dog it's life.

I have an American Staffy (just slightly different than a Pit) but I put 2 years of my time into educating myself on these breeds before I even decided to get one & I'm so thankful I did. I just had to make sure that I MYSELF could give my dog the training, respect, attention, time & patience they deserve. It was a Daily basis thing to build a mutual trust & bond with her & it was worth every minute. I got her at 9 weeks old & started on day 1 & my 1st step was a DNA test to make sure she wasn't the result of some backwoods breeder that had no clue what they were doing. This lady saying the dog was only a year & a half old, & the Vet telling her a YEAR ago that the dog had severe aggression issues means it was still just a young Puppy !!! Yet SHE chose to do absolutely nothing about it but make it worse & end up costing that dog it's life. SHE created that terrified, flipped out mess in the video. Hopping it up on an extremely high dose of Benadryl alone definitely had something to do with it & God only knows what else she gave or did to the poor thing over the past year when she should have turned the then young Puppy over to someone who could properly & responsibly train & raise it. Mine is 4 now & she is ALLLL about love, play time, kisses, belly & butt rubs & scratches & of course food. Lol. This video is disgusting, disturbing & sad all at the same time. I hope she was charged with Animal Abuse after everything the witnesses said they saw her do & her OD'ing the poor thing on Benadryl & who knows what else. SHE CAUSED all of that incident. Yet only the Dog (still a pup at 1 1/2 years old) will be slapped on the list of VIOLENT ATTACKS by a PIT list . 😳

I currently work as an Animal Control/Peace Officer And I agree with you, it is a needed division of law enforcement. Although I will say my department puts officer safety above all else, a dog this aggressive would've been shot right after it attacked an officer.

I've owned many pit bulls and I have never had issues. Yes they can be very protective , just like any dog,but this owner couldn't even control a Yorkie if she had too. Not the dogs fault. This dog has probably never been loved. This owner should be jailed

The cops didn't know at the time that she has three more dogs at home and two kids from different dad's ages 7 & 9 as well as two foster kids that are 11. Also she constantly has shady dudes over all the time like a flop house

Lubbock Texas we have lots of loose dogs, little done about it. Regular reports of bites. Kind of up to citizens to take care of it. My cousin was killed by 3 dogs in a park 2 years ago. His best friend's grandson was recently bit in a park. Had to have rabies shots.

La Crosse cut the cities animal control a few months before this incident.

My 10 pound dog takes 2 benadryl some days, and it never knocks her out! 6 is nothing.

Experience pays a big part in each job, and on-the-job training is a vital part of being competent at many jobs, whether there are stringent entry-level requirements or not.
