I just ran into Chris for the first time and just OUTSTANDING detail and close up video which is EXTREMELY RARE on any you tube videos. Kudos and thumbs up from me. All questions answered.
I have loved my Latercase *aramid fiber iPhone case. Which I guess is even lighter weight than carbon fiber. And scratch resistant, heat resistant, etc. I also bought their screen protector in 2021. I’ve dropped my phone and only a small chip came out of the case on the top, but the phone was completely unscathed. The lightness and feel of the Latercase far surpasses the nasty plastic cases. Highly recommend.
thank you for your review! The thinner and thicker aramid fiber pattern is differentiiated by the aramid fiber yarns. 1500D and 600D are professional terms for the number of aramid yarns. D, shorten for Denier, indicates the linear density of the aramid yarn. The 1500D is classic and looks thicker, while the 600D is finner 600D aramid fiber is exquisite and stylish but twill deformation is very likely to happen before its solidifying, so its yield rate is very low and the cost of manufacture is high. PITAKA is one of the few companies that adopt selective 600D aramid fiber in manufacturing products. Compared with other aramid fiber of different deniers, like 1500D aramid fiber, 600D aramid fiber is harder to produce.
Love both of the cases, but the thinner clearer pattern means the more premium materials used. For a minimalist style, there are not a lot we can do, except choosing what materials to use and how they handle the details. Chris, can we send you the a case for a review?
Thanks for the review, man! Would you like to try ours? We also make aramid fiber case. Btw, when we talk about aramid fiber, the materials matter. You need to figure out if the cases are 600d or 1500d. Usually 600D costs like 30-40% more.
"Hi, since the Latercase is so thin that MagSafe sort of works through it, would adding a ring adapter to the inside of the case (between the phone and case) help anything? I mean, even on a MagSafe case, there is still some carbon fiber in between. I understand that it would be better to put it on the outside, but do you think that it would add some strength? Also, in that case, which ring adapter would you get?"
Hi, do u know if adding a ring on the outside of a Aramid fiber case will stick properly? I just bought the Samsung Aramid case and want to know how will the rings stick to it.
I think Lewis Hilsenteger (you know, the latercase owner) also make a separate magnetic rinv that you can attach to your latercase (I could be wrong tho)
HI, do u know how well the rings stick to a Aramid case? I just bought a Samsung Aramid case and want to know if the ring will stay on and if not could u use a little superglue to hold it in plase?
@@J.Wick.Thanks for responding so quickly that helps out a lot. I bought the Ldsxay Universal Magsafe rings. They were $12 for 2 and there magnetic. I was going to order the cheaper metal rings but I read that they make your phone hot while charging. Im not sure if thats true or not, but know that u told me it will work I can finally put it on. I have one more question have u ever replaced a ring yet and dose that harm the case at all?
@@tommyboy3737 grip isn't the issue. If you rely solely on wireless charging, they can be picky with the rings. Just depends on the charger, and the ring. They won't damage a case. Some are made to be reapplied, others are not. For the ones that are single serve, heat or alcohol takes em off easy. Make sure to clean the case or phone with alcohol before applying the ring. Common sense stuff.
@@J.Wick. I bought LDSXAY Universal Magsafe Rings. There the magnetic ones not the metal ones. I did what u said about cleaning the case and the ring sticks really good to the Samsung Aramid Fiber case. I heard that the metal ones get hot and don't aline to the charger rite so I spent $12 on 2 of the Magnetic ones. Have u heard people having problems with the cheaper metal ones?
I would say no, not from drops, the screen protector edges are always where the break point is, but along with the screen protector they do protect the edges of the screen.
Wanna buy this for my iphone 15 pro natural tit, but can't decide which color would be best to match my iphone color..... maybe you have suggestions?? To pick that black one or maybe the milky way one , or other ones?))
