Awesome pedal! For me as beginner this is a great way to play around with detuned sounds without actually having to detune or buying a 7/8 string guitar!

Got the donner soph gate after watching fluff's review and yeah $70 for an intelligent noise gate that kicks ass? Definitely worth it!

Do they ship these pedals internationally? I like the pitchshifter, so many options packed into a small pedal, and the tone and tracking seem solid when downtuning. I guess the shipping might be too costly though to justify getting a cheap pedal. I was surprised when you played part of a "One" solo, Metallica were a band that got me into the metal genre. Great review.

For me, going up the octave worked great. So good for doubling up lead parts on the high end, but the pitch shifting down was terrible, the tone is so muddy and the delay is so long. I bought it for the first purpose though and it’s useful for that!

would you say the donner can help turn a standard tuned guitar to drop D or C easily for metal riffs? I dont need more that that and was considering this pedal or the Mooer pitch box as a cheaper alternative to the digitech drop

Thanks for the info on these pedals by the way. I'm thinking of picking up the harmonic square for my 5 string bass to pitch shift down from drop G# to drop F# because I'm too poor to get a dingwall or other multiscales. How do you think this will sound for down tuning bass?

I have a dingwall and am looking for a pitch shift pedal to downtune to F# instead of going with a .170 string (cable lol). Did tou ever get this? If so how does it fair for bass?

@@kandem01 I did get it. Works great on guitar. Not so great on bass. You lose a lot of character and it doesn't know how to handle the frequency. And if you're already rocking a Dingwall with that gauge just tune down lol. I would understand if you wanted this pedal for the convenience of not having to retune, but I wouldn't recommend for bass.

I didn't notice a huge difference in tone, there will always be a bit of it with any pitch shift pedal and the "less" you shift the less noticeable it will be

So basically, could I use this harmonic square pedal to go from e standard to b standard whenever I want? Like just detune it and then shift it back up to e standard? I only have two guitars and when I play live, I can't just switch guitars for a different tuned song, I'm thinking of using this to just pitch shift.

I have the donner pitch shifter thing but there's a delay on it, not like a musical delay as in I play, dry signal comes out, then maybe 200ms later the wet sound comes out, which just makes it completely unplayable in a live setting. Do I have a faulty one or is it supposed to do this for whatever reason?

Did you notice any latency with the Harmonic Square? I just got one and there is a noticeable 100-200 ms delay between hitting the note and the wet signal playing. If I turn wet to 100% and dry to 0% it feels like I am playing a delay pedal with no repeats or something. It makes it really hard to play, which is disappointing because it sounds great!

@Zaamz I got a message from Donner saying they were working on a new version and would let me know when it was available, but I never heard an update. They did refund me $6 which is... something, but I would have rather just had a pedal that worked with no delay!
