I imagine that this film got pretty-good reviews in its day - it was very well-acted, the sets/costumes/casting/writing/filming/ directing excellent! …The only thing about this I’d change was the melodramatic music; it/they deserved better. Thank-You for uploading classics!!!
Great cast. I have always had a soft spot for Jane Wyatt. Dick Powell did a pretty good job too, as a bored, trapped, miserable guy who made a super bad mistake. Jane was great to want to keep the marriage going, and Dick for wanting the same thing. Felt super sorry for Lizabeth. She got a real bum deal for just wanting a little consideration, and love. She just made bad choices. Great movie. Thanks for posting. I signed up for your channel. Keep them coming. ❤💛💙💚
SEEING THIS MOVIE BRINGS SO MANY MEMORIES! SOME BAD AND SOME GOOD! BUT SON OF A GUN!!! HUSBANDS GET BORED AND THERE GOES THEIR BIG HEAD AND THEN THE LITTLE HEAD TAKES OVER!!!😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
I like both types he plays. However, not Burr’s fault, but the Perry Mason show was very repetitive. Here comes another “but”…….i loved the Perry Mason show. I’m still watching it today on Prime Video.
@@CissyBrazil you're right. I'm in Cognitive decline at 79, so I'm still watching Perry Mason too. I didn't mean to say I don't like it. I just prefer him, when he's Bad!! In character.
😂😂 I was thinking the very, very same thing and her hair should’ve been standing on end and dripping with water spray. Ha h ha. These oldies were goodies though! Elizabeth Scott is not my favorite actress, however.
IDK why she rejected Raymond Burr but she was going to marry the guy in prison; they were both bad choices. The Dick Powell character should have told his wife soon after the relationship ended. But then, the plot would have been kind of bland if he did. This was a really well written, directed and acted movie.
Too somber (grave yard) for me, why didn’t Johnny take the bait earlier, instead of getting his head kicked in a few times for that troublesome women?.
Raymond Burr played many very entertaining bad guys. I wish Perry Mason did not get him type cast. He plays a damn good bad and he is far more realistic than a good lawyer in the system which is even a hundred times worse today than the Perry Mason days.
