I'm getting a pitbull puppy do you have "tips" for me?

@@under1629 if you are a minor doing online school, now would be the perfect time to have a puppy, or working from home... FIRST!!! You will need a pen from amazon, and puppy pads... you should keep the puppy to limited spaces, dont let it free roam until it's older! I bought a pen for 30$ and it's been great!! Even now at 9 months... you should totally invest in that!! My puppy also was food aggressive, so take it slow, puppies can naturally growl dont be scared! Hand feed your puppy some times. When you feed from a bowl put it on the ground, and dont let him run up to it. Make him sit and everytime he approaches go *UGH UH* and pick the food up and put him back. STICK WITH IT!! Soon you can put a command to it. Like stay or wait, with a release word like "okay!" Or "alright" your puppy will get frustrated and bark, but he will soon understand what you want. Carry treats on you at all time. Pitbulls come command needs to be ON POINT, practice all the time! since the breed has a bad rep.

@@under1629 Socialize your puppy!! Take it to the dog park, in stores, and everywhere... you NEED to walk your puppy everyday, just to get it into habit and socialize it to the outside world. Its crucial and sad some owners dont do it. You will need lots of toys, your puppy will bite alot, treat it like any other dog and correct him *UGH UH* and then redirect the biting to a toy. Do you have any questions? I'm sorry lol this is alot. But training in front of people is also important. Get your family or friends to walk past and keep your dog focused and ignore. Practice "Come!" When your dog is playing toys to teach leave it, or if its chasing a squirrel, "Come!" And It will come... it's very crucial command, so keep those treats loaded.. My family bullied me for having a fanny pack haha

@@under1629 I feel like these "tips" work for every dog but since it's a pitbull they have to be on their best behavior, ALSO if you dont like dog hair.... DONT GET A PITBULL, if I knew how much they shed, I wouldnt have gotten one Lol

They seem to be really nice dogs. I've only known a few. I live in a duplex & the Mom doesn't like them. They have two other mix breeds whom are my friends. A son adopted a stray pit whom was a beautiful & friendly dog, but Max, the Male dog, a 20lb. terrier viciously attacked, so that young dog had to go. I trust he was adopted fast, as people here like Pits gensrally.

That's the most stupid reason to get a pit... Get one knowing the history in how what they were bred for ,then understanding they are a alpha dog, treat them with respect for the possibility of animal aggressive traits to manifest. The American Bully is not a pitbull,only the American pit bull terrier is a pit bull,as it's the only American dog to bull themselves out of the pit. This breed is absolutely not for the submissive weak minded / body person... Might I suggest you Google " breed standard for the American pit bull terrier" Then google the fake pitbull, "breed standard for the American Bully." They are two completely different dog breeds.... The bully is committing stolen valor. As it's ancestors never originated with the pit aka( the box )as the tool in deciding what gets breeding rights.. there's no such thing as a blue / red nose pit bull, there's no such thing as a xl / XXL.... Those are all American bully back yard breeders made up terms to make the product sound exclusive 🤣🤣🤣 These are facts. Please feel free to do your homework .... P.s. hulk is not the world's largest pit-bull..., As anything outside of the purebred set standards makes it disqualified for future purebred pedigree paperwork,and should have been nutered and hehomed as pet quality animal restricted or title.... Ask any responseable purebred dog breeder what should be done with a dog that is way outside set standards???? They will say likewise.!!!

I growing up I we had and I was always surround it by pets specifically dogs ( which I admire alot) maybe there's something you can do to help you better . Maybe training them where and when . I don't even know if that's accurate but that's alot babies and I feel normal to feel the way you feel. Keep up the good work 👏🙏🏽😍

Are you getting a bully or a real american pit bull terrier,as the real pit bull don't get over 70# and are prone to animal aggressive traits,but not human aggressive, The American Bully,is prone to human aggressive traits ,but not animal aggressive?? Stick to high quality kibble until your dog is no longer a puppy,then you can talor his intake with all raw feed,as his growth won't be hindered do to lack of ballenced dietary needs.... You can always supplement his food with raw days,if you can't wait,make sure you freeze the meat long enough to kill all parasites,and watch raw food preparation videos,a real good one is on RU-vid by "Apbt performance Athletes" scroll down his videos you will find it,he is well respected in the pitbull community,and has alot of good knowledge he shares... Take care and always look up the breed standard for the dog you are interested in getting,as some breeders lie.
