That's actually an Amercam Bully, not a pitty. Not sure why people call bullies and staffies pitties all the time, they aren't. Us real American Pitbull terrier owners are the ones that have to deal with the bs that people bring against our dogs, the malicious animal control calls and the dog laws. You are spot on. I work with a Dog Charity in UK. I have never had any trouble with Staffies or Rottweilers, always face hugging them in total confidence. No Dog deserves a bad reputation, it is only their reaction of fear to brutal Humans. They have no fault.

Pure bred (with a pedigree) pit bulls are a risk to be left alone, I've seen 5-week old puppies maul each other with no provocation and without human interaction. They need love and management as NO training will alter genes. Fact.

on a level i agree with you, but i had one border collie who was given unconditional love and attention and he was like such a baby but he was such an aggressive vicious biter to other dogs. he had a neurological problem and also got seizures from time to time so i'm sure the aggressiveness was partially from that stress he was under a the time. so no, sometimes dogs can be bad, just like sometimes kids turn out bad no matter how much you love them or how well you raise them.

They need to be trained in their behaviour because they are strong and they should learn to not pull when they have a leash or push roughly when they say hello or are happy . If you have time , space and patience , they are good dogs . Be aware that you'll need to take care of them also on hollydays , for travelling ... and if you live on a rented house , some owners don't want pets .

*Me &U* Yeah, the American bully and pitt bull aren’t the same distinct breed per say. They both fall under the Bully breed family (which is a more broader umbrella for these types of dogs hence why they all look similar to a degree.

I had a Jack Russell named Angel and she used to lift her back leg up and barrel down the stairs using the other three legs. Never seen a dog fly down stairs so fast.

They do. Abused animals may be damaged-some permanently-but the bond they have w their rescuers is difficult to describe. My little Yorkie wasn’t friendly w anyone except me. He was 2 lbs of wonderful and 3 lbs of my-fierce- protector. He was attached at the hip w me. Anywhere I went, he’d go completely crazy if someone came near me, unless I told him it was ok. He had no idea how small he was and he had a heart bigger than any wolf that ever lived. Once he was taken out of the environment of fear & pain, he no longer had *any* fear (or pain!). The most loyal, loving, protective dog I could’ve ever imagined. Putting him down was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. He lived to a ripe age of 16+, though. I think the last 4 yrs were his happiest, after I found him. Having him was an amazing blessing and my life is better because of him. Rescue dogs know what dogs that are always loved, do not. They appreciate the safety and love of their rescuer. I rescued a pup & she’s never known fear or pain, since she was 7 months old. She’s a goofy, happy dog. She expects life to be happy-as it should be. Abused animals don’t expect it. I don’t know about all animals, but dogs that can be rehabbed appreciate and value it. They pay us back in ways us humans probably don’t even deserve. A senior, rescue dog truly is a blessing & anyone that can-should rescue a senior dogs. It’s hard that your years are short, but theyre amazingly grateful, potty trained, and try so hard to please their humans. They deserve to be rescued desperately. They’ve lived long, hard lives. They deserve a love, peace, respect & security in their final years. R.I.P my little angel dog, Oliver🐾♥️
