Thanks for the kind words of my beloved city. I think we forget how beautiful it is until we see it from another perspective. My Dad drove; had a B-61 Bulldog Mack, ’65 GMC Crackerbox and a ’66 cob Freightliner before switching to the newer company trucks. Thanks for the memories. Be safe and Keep on Trucking.

Damn! Pittsburgh!! The greatest entry to any city in the world thru that Ft. Pitt Tunnel. Been thru it many times. That cat sounded good rollin thru there. Love these videos. Found ya lookin for Cabovers, now I'm a subscriber. Your makin me wanna get a 362 or a K100 & start heading down the highway. Keep these videos coming. Camera angles are Great! CABOVERS RULE!!! 👍🤟

That view coming out of the Fort Pitt Tunnels on a sunny day is always a winner. As for the nightlife, it'll come back, eventually. But it's been moving out of downtown Pittsburgh for years. Go to South Side Flats or Lawrenceville.

The guy was right, you are a BEAST!!! Great camera angles. After 48 years of bouncing around in those trucks, yesterday was my first day of retirement, so love watching you thread that cabover around. Many years of cabovers with spring suspension, amazing I can still walk...hahaha. Take care and be safe out there.

Another great video Steve. Me and the family drove from Cleveland to D.C. two years back in a rental car and took the 376 so we could go to the Oyster House downtown. The awesome view coming out of the Fort Pitt tunnel took us by surprise. Your video re-captured the moment well. Since we are from Phoenix, we don't get these nice green views to often. During our visit we walked to Fort Duquesne and later rode the Duquesne incline up the hill for an even better view of the three rivers converging. We really liked Pittsburg and want to return there someday. Pennsylvania is a beautiful state. Thanks for sharing.

You went by the Peterbilt dealer I worked at. As a life long resident, of the Pittsburgh area, I've only saw that truck ramp used twice. I never tore of that fresh out of the tunnel view.

My first ever trip in a truck, going back to when I was 5 years old, was to Pittsburgh. Dad was driving an ‘88 Pete 379 standard hood, flat top. Had a smaller horse Cummins with a 13 speed. Anyway, it was overnight when we went out, so of course it looked awesome to me. Ahh the memories.

Early in my trucking career I drove a 87 Freightliner COE with a big cam. They gave it to me because I was new and thought I’d hate it but I loved it!!

i used to drive a portable parking lot. i delivered a lot in Coriopolis and Pittsburg PA area ..trust me in know how tight PA roads can be be!!! watching you go through there brings back a lot of memories!!

Orwell just rollin down asphalt. Awesome video.I live about 50 miles north of pittsburgh and drove coal bucket for 15 yrs around pa ,west va. and Ohio.CAT POWER HAND. 👍

Man, I really enjoy your videos. Their is one thing that gets on my nerves though and that is the people worried about the wheels on your truck. Yeah, a nice set of wheels would really change the appearance of Orwell and I am sure they will come. Those unpainted steel wheels make the same money as a shiny set would without requiring any more out of pocket expenses. Keep up the good work!

Those trains are from the Wheeling & Lake Erie railroad. They are hauling natural gas extracted from near Hickory, PA. Those trains go thru my neighborhood.

It's the sound of the Waste gate when he let's off the throttle. Waste gate dumps the boost pressure back into the intake making that noise you hear.

if u ever have time and ur around beardsley mn, gye named chad, cs diesel 3202650100 phone number, he can check and adjust your timing advance unit on a b model and set it to bout 31 all in degrees doing it proper with a digital machine, also turn pump up proper, i had time to kill on a load in sd i went there had him tune it, 3.5 hrs later wow, seriously i thoght my b model was fine but its wild now ! and same or better fuel milage pulls like crazy and exhaust temps never touch 900 , just sumthin keep in mind i had a real hard time finding a gye with that advance machine cat shops aint got no more cause of age

I used to pick up steel at a few places in Western Pennsylvania. But it's not even close to what it was back in it's day.

@@fsctrucking I worked for a pipe, value, and fitting wholesale warehouse...and mostly delivered to the medium to smaller customers...most of inventory was imported, with same the quality, but 30% or more less in price...Amercican businesses, moved manufacturing their products abroad...maube the New trade agreement would make it more competitive... in January of 2016, I got layed off and now retired...thx for the vidoes and I hope the V12 Cat generator motor will work in your truck....or your Unlimited Hydroboat...or P51 Mustang airplane...lol

There are a couple mills still around. None in the city proper that I know of. The existing ones are in communities outside of the city. The old bridge he was talking about is called the smithfield street bridge which opened in 1883.
