Pity System Explained - NA getting pity early? 

Sorry for not posting for awhile, but the news out of Korea is too big not to cover! Do you think we'll follow Korea and get pity by new years?

FGO having the worst pity system is to expect

They could greatly improve pity alone when they carry it over all banners. I hope they announce something like this to New Year so we can hope that we will get the update to the anni. Nice video. Always happy when you upload something :)

To be honest, after a long time fgo finally has pity and it definitely has trade offs, but the thing that I can't stand about the pity is the rotation on the banner, it makes players feel very uneasy when wanting to roll a specific unit, like making the game more focus on 5 stars instead of letting players roll on individual rotation like the 4 and 3 stars servants and overall it makes it less appealing to roll on a banner.

A nice breakdown of the pity system. Honestly I think it'll happen for NA. One doesn't mean the other will happen. But I just feel like the NA side would be able to get it done with the example of Korea getting it early. The issues for the 4* servants is too bad. But I think the benefits are still higher. Be really nice to set goals of a couple specific servants next year and know that I can get them if I put enough quartz aside. Instead of now where I can put a lot of quartz aside...but can still be doomed.

this "pity" system would be a lot better if it transferred over between banners so you would at least have a guaranteed character you want in the future since 900 SQ tales a lot to get. The predatory nature of this games gacha makes me so sad since i enjoy the game but don't wanna support this companies practices.

I am split about pity coming early to EN if it comes early. On one hand it would be nice to be able to guarantee so high value SSRs early like Koyan Light and Oberon for many players. On the other hand I am not going to enjoy the lack of rotating banners and dread getting NP10 Baobhan while trying to get Barghest or getting NP10 Rider Caenis while aiming for Berserker Sei. As for the amount, while I would've prefered if it were lower like say, 600 SQ to hit pity, getting 900 SQ isn't too big of an ordeal if you have good self control. Either way, good luck on all of your future summons and while pity is nice, it would still suck having to hit it.

I’ll be frank, unless the pity system carries over from banner to banner, it’s pretty useless for the average player. For most players, they wouldn’t have over 300 SQ for banners. At most, from saving for about two months, they might have about 100? And that’s being generous with the game giving you SQ around this time of year. So really, this only effects the Whales and Krakens. The majority of the player base cannot use this because of the simple fact that they won’t have it carry over from banner to banner.

900SQ... It's same as don't have any pity for me. It meant for whale No effect for me whatsoever.

this thing don't have a good outcome for f2p because they don't have rotation banner anymore for sr. Also we don't really use the pity system because to get 300 pulls it's like saving for almost an entire year to only get 1 ssr (unless it's your ultimate waifu/husbando and you don't care about other units).

This could very well be announce at Anime NYC this weekend since Yoshiki Kanou will in attendance at the event and let’s not forget that the Thanksgiving campaign might get announce as well.

I know pity is nice and all but i dont like how they handle the SR rateups since it got implemented. I have a few targets for next year if there's no split rate ups is just gonna suck

I'm very fortunate to be financially stable enough to afford the pity system (if I need it), so I intend to return to the game once pity is implemented in NA. Honestly, I've already had a LOT of good luck between my original JP account and multiple NA accounts, so I am not too worried, especially in regard to the issue with the 4*s.

This "pity" is shit tbh. Just because it's better than nothing, doesn't make it good. I hope that when they implement it on NA they think good and hard how to fix it and implement all the changes in both servers at the same time.

Thanks for the video Khad! I never thought about summoning on separate banners for additional copies to get the pity again. That's a great idea and will definitely come in clutch for some of my NP2 targets.

What I'm worried about is that since they're adding a pity system, is that gonna change how the summoning works already? 900 gems is a ridiculous amount to need for reaching pity, especially if it doesn't transfer over. I remember having 500 something gems saved up when summoning for illya and I got 2 of her, and I got vanghoh in 4 summon tickets. but will the new pity system make it so that things like that are less likely to happen because it wants you to go to full pity..? Because I'd rather have no pity if thata the case.

Really glad the only 4 star I'm rolling for in the next 2 years (re-run banner aside) is Zenobia (who doesn't have any other 4 stars on rate-up).

So lemme get this straight, if I want summer kama and I'm at 899 sqs n didn't get her on day one. Then I wait till next two or three days till the next one pull, my pity for kama won't reset even if the 4 stars rotation has changed by then?

Didn’t realize the requirement for pity was so small. I thought it was 1000 SQ. 300 is a lot more manageable EDIT: This is incorrect. Take a look at Trihexian Entertainment's comment below for correct info

Leave it to FGO to create a pity system that I actually dread and would prefer didn't exist. The shared SR rate up that comes from pity honestly seems like its due to programming incompitance rather than an executive decision. Or if is is an executive decision its downright malicious and predatory. You will almost never need the SSR pity anyway but now your ability to get the SR you want is terribly compromised. Pity is for the SSR so as long as that remains the constant, what's wrong with rotating SR banners?

Those banner with 2 5* won't rotate anymore? Or it's only the 4* who won't rotate but they'll make another banner for the other 5*?

would friend points count towards the pity too? or just quartz and tickets?

For NA, is the current pity system at 330 rolls for guaranteed GSSR? Assuming your rolling it all in one day, or rolling concurrently?

Man, pity system that can't be carried over is pretty archaic. Why can't FGO just follow some games with good pity system and implement it to their game?

The FGO pity system is ok, Genshin has a better one, but something is something. I hope they can bring this to NA as a new year's update, it'll be really helpful since the next year is gonna be insane for gacha.

Dude i just used 60 SQ not knowing the pity system😭

Caps a banner unit at like 900~ SQ, would make my life easier. About to hit 1000 SQ saved up for Morgan, and while I’m relying on the statistics behind getting her, pity would be a very nice safety net, as I watched a video the other day of someone spending almost 1500 to get Van Gogh. Or was it Nemo? Whoever was the most recent event. …worst case, I can get Merlin in 2024 when we’re projected to get pity.

Meanwhile me who always saved 900+ SQ worth for a targeted SSR: I missed the part where that’s my problem

Even Genshins Pity System is FAR better. There you'll hit Soft Pity in roughly 74 Summons and Hard Pity in 90 Summons. So yeah, FGOs Pity System is trash. (And Pity carries over)
