When a protagonist got a rifle, I thought you'd make it more clear for a Brit to know, how to use a gun. First thing I'd cover would still actually be basic safety, that means: Weapon Barrel Surrounding Trigger Second thing, basic maintainance (how to reload, how to not destroy it, how to prevent jams etc.) Last thing, how to properly aim (it's not that easy to use iron sights, yes I know they don't use them)
