I appreciate you for your comment, cause a lot of people who love apple always don't face the truth of another smart phone is better than their iPhone.
AMH007JB in a pic segment Pixel hands down...especially the portrait mode...But over all IPhone is really the choice for me because I myself took really amazing portrait pic as well and having degree 3 years in photography I know what I’m talking about 👍
Note 9 has slightly less details in daylight (can be ignored, it's not that dramatic) and has a bit harsh contrast, but still beat's the shit out of every mobile phone in low light situation.
Note 9 looked the best to me. I was planning on upgrading my 6s to the iPhone XS but after this, I’m not so sure. Maybe I will wait for the next version? It’s like foreverrr.....!
Get a Note. The next iPhones will have the same body design. Maybe Apple will add another camera. But I can almost promise that is it. I am commenting from my pixel XL 2 as my iPhone X sits on the shelf because I prefer the better camera. But a Note offers an experience you cannot get anywhere else for that price tag.
They only channel I trust when it comes to camera comparisons. On other tech channels you'd swear they intentionally make the Note 9 look bad. Damn, the hate is real.
Samsung has had wide selfie since the s6. Idk why ppl are acting like this is a new mind blowing feature. And samsung had tracking auto focus since the s6
Samsungs wide selfie is terrible tho.... using an s9+ and it's just a panorama on the front camera. The pixel 3 has a dedicated wide lens that looks amazing. Also Samsung's tracking auto focus isn't great either
It's also not as wide as pixel 3 , and it's not that great , it's been 2yrs of pixel winning best camera , honesty I think that's going to be there forte above all company's , every year will be there camera , will always faze out the competition , because everyone wants to do good cameras by throwing my lens on the phone , Google is trying to perfect the 1 camera lens before moving on to 2 lens then perfecting that before 3 etc. If Google puts 2 cameras on pixel 4 ,that's going to be impossible to beat again , because all the negatives of pixel now , like 2x zoom etc will have been fixed , this year Google will continue to optimize the pixel 3 cameras to keep it beat until pixel 4 not apple not Samsung , not LG not even the red phone will take that 👑 I bow down to Google for finding there forte and making the best of it.. Apple is ios , Samsung is hardware mostly display, every company has there forte , apple use to hold crown for pics also but Google's AI is unbeatable it's the one thing they are working hard on , Google duplex, Google assistant etc. So Google is a better software company then apple , well apple is hardware only reason ios is more stable is because they don't switch specs on same phones , Android has 2500 different models , most have completely different countries, GPU etc. It's hard to code for a 1000 different phones , that's why it's not as optimize the apps it's not Android , it's the developers it would cost to much to program for that many different phones . So it's not worth it. But wait to fuschia comes out .. exclusive to Google phones only , there is going to be a huge turn around and that's when apple will need to worry not now , because fuschia is still testing but when that comes out apple will have a serious competition remember one thing , apple depends on iPhone sales Google does not it's a small percentage of company iPhone is 75% or more of apple , the day that fails, apple business model will change really fast or go down under, there Macs sell bad , they will never compete will windows especially gamers there are alot of pc gamers or people who like to customize pc , so no market there , windows will always have lower cost laptops and so on, no market there , iPads also sell really really bad year after year theres no market there , the Apple watch does great really good , but again not enough of a market there, leaves apple with iPhone sales ... And Google is slowly dominating apple through software , as AI becomes more of a future , apple by the time they jump in it will have been too late , remember if u ever read this , this is coming from someone dealing with consumers daily , for years now , and belonging to blogs , and forums , it's slowly coming , and apple will need to think of something fast , Google is not worry about pixel phones sales they are slowly getting better at it year after year while there software AI is jumping leaps and bounds in the future , even Samsung does not worry or LG they make TV appliances etc. Samsung even builds tanks and military equipment, they all have multiple back ups, except apple....

All these observations were made watching the video at 1080p (wish it had a 4k option) on a 4k screen. People who watch this video with a small screen or with a low resolution won't see the minute differences. 200% zoom (tree with yellow leaves) shows how over sharpened the Pixel 3 is (look at edges of tree), The iPhone XS Max shows a softer image when zoomed in at 200%. The Note 9 has the most detail at 200%. In terms of color, all 3 show differences and it's all personal preference. Motion Auto Focus is the same feature as Tracking AF (under settings) on the Note 9. If you tap on a subject, whether animate or inanimate it'll focus on that. Lens flare on the Pixel 3 is evident on the Instagram Model shot (look at the left foot). Both the iPhone XS Max and Note 9 don't show this behavior. Zooming in at 200% also shows more noise on the Pixel 3 XL and iPhone XS Max (look at the black shirt) compared to the Note 9. Portrait mode of the old man shows the glasses on the right side, his ears, and cheek on the right side cropped off with the bokah. Zoom shows a different color on the jeep, versus not using it. Straw portrait mode shows the edges of the straw on the Pixel 3 XL with jaggies and a blurred out portion on the lower right side, iPhone XS Max completely botched that, while the Note 9 shot shows the best portrait mode for this particular shot (200% zoom shows this clearly). Note 9 had the least issues on the straw. Kerry Park shots showed the iPhone XS Max to be the softest of the 3 with the least details in the 200% zoom shot. Between the Note 9 and Pixel 3, the Note 9 shows more detail on the black trapezoidal building. The window on the right side is clearly seen on the Note 9 while the iPhone XS Max and Pixel 3 XL just smudges it out. Night shot (1st shot) with Ariana (I hope I spelled her name right) shows the iPhone washed out with the least detail. Pixel 3 XL shows good contrast but loses detail compared to the Note 9. Look at the left sleeve, the creases (3rd row from shoulder) disappears on the Pixel 3 XL compared to the Note 9. In terms of noise Pixel 3 XL and Note 9 are mostly the same. On the 7-11 shot, the Pixel 3 XL was sharpest when it came to the main signage of the store but the whites we're a bit blown out (Arrowhead) compared to the iPhone XS Max and Note 9. Also the number 12355 was sharper on the Note 9. I have Android and Apple products in my house ranging from the iPod, iPod Touch to the iPad to Android tablets and smartphones (LG, Google, Samsung, Huawei, and Oppo). No horse in this race since all manufacturer's just want all our money. Don't care what people say, I'm just stating my observations.
"Night shot (1st shot) with Ariana (I hope I spelled her name right) shows the iPhone washed out with the least detail. " If you look really close, you will see that iphone has best detalis on the face and note 9 just mess all like painting
I keep going back to this video. I’m a phone camera nerd, but there’s something about this video that’s just keep calling me back to it. Old Moment videos really hit different😂 the filming style, the vibes, the (kinda) old phones😭 the songs and soundtracksss ugh I love all of them❤️ it’s just comforting
3️⃣ Might be an old video now but even in 2020 I'm thinking of getting the Pixel 3 XL and I love what you guys did here; to showcase what the camera can do compared to other similar phones. Love the video and love the chemistry you guys have on screen, makes me want to take up photography :)
@@Padilla_life $500? Best camera, unlimited cloud storage at original quality, first to get updates. This part is subjective, but I've seem more people prefer stock Android. The Note has a Pen, and you think that is worth an extra $500 dollars? Come on man. Damn.
Edward Bliffin .. Note 9's selfie was also pretty good for a non-wide lens. I wonder how much better it would be if they would put a wide selfie camera. S10? 🤞
3, 10, 9. They are all superb. It really comes down to what you prefer straight out of camera. We are living in amazing times with our art making machines that fit in our pockets.
I'm going with 3️⃣for the win! Amazing color, detail, highlights, shadows, and dynamic range. I think that the iPhone's dynamic range is too strong in the sky portion of photos. Note 9 definitely won the straw test though 😄This video format is also really interesting! I actually preferred this to a more formal review. Great job Moment!
how is the phone and how is the battery still waiting for mine but I think it will come from November 7 to 9 which is something that bothers me is too long
I beg you to end my fence sitting.. is the brightness at max, comparable to Note 9 or iPhones? I have a 6s+ at max brightness, saw a (possibly burnt in from always being on) Pixel 2 at the store. I instantly said no, not even remotely bright enough. No ones covered this yet (the brightness). Everything else I love, just need to know about this display brightness.. thank you!
Those pics taken from outside through the window were epic wow!!! So glad I purchased this white xl 3. Been using it for 3 days and absolutely love it.
Book Your Imagination how do you know you prefer it? Do you feel you think you prefer it just bc that’s what you’re using? Hard to know if you prefer something with it giving it s chance in real life
if you are not processing via VSCO, definately note9 is the best one, following Pixel 3, as note 9 has the best colour profile and portrait mode detail, I do prefer them. BUT, if you are a heavy VSCO editor for every photography art piece, I would prefer iPhone Xs Max, just look at the dynamic range, it provides very far ahead of range than the other 2 cameras, making that the phone as the best equipment for post editing :)
IMO, The iPhone's overdoing it with dynamic range making photos look flat. First gen HDR+ had the same problem but Google dialed it back with Pixel 2&3. This is particularly bad with portraits with highlight and can't be fixed after. Note 9 and Pixel are pretty close but Pixel has better dynamic and less oversharpening.
iphone xs camera lacks of contrast but that doesn’t mean it lacks of detail. Contrast is just an illusion they put in post processing like the pixel 3 to make it pop.
In my opinion the iPhone Xs was the worst in this test, even the note 9 were better 😮 orange face, washed out, dark in low light, no sharpens, actually very bad
See this comparison ! A big difference. The Pixel is bit better, but only because of the Google camera software. some pictures are dark, overexposed or too sharp ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AzqqQcgWXCQ.html
@@spamtelevision it was terrible. How can they make the photos bad though? It was raw images. The Note 9 had a huge camera update which is the reason it was able to hang with the Pixel.
@RedPilled MGTOW bias in what way, the comparison was pictures in different conditions. Which other review did you see the iPhone beating the pixel in camera comparison. At the end of the day just stating what I saw
If they showed any video the Iphone would of blown the other phones completely out of the water, but most youtubers dont because they want to keep up the competition while almost all creators use apple products lmao
Fast question! Do I need to use the app for using the lease , or the app is just an adjustment in this case? I'm planing to buy xperia 1, and I'm sure that the Sony's app is a bit better... hopefully to receive an answer) thanks in advance)
It looks to me like all three have their strengths and weaknesses. I would really like to see the portrait mode of all of them put under more stress and analyzed more closely. Would be nice to see a difference in video quality as well. I'm also curious if the Pixel 3 supports external mics.
As an apple fan I do agree they were clearly 3rd but what makes me more sad is hardly any tubers show the video performance which many people value. The iphone would of completely blown the other phones out of the water.
Are these photos straight out of the camera or edited? I was about to buy an iPhone xs but now I'm torn! Pixel 3 seems to take better photos but I've always had an iPhone. Also, what was used to shoot this video?
* Pixel 3 has more aggressive contrasts in post processing of a photo whereas the iPhone has less contrast and shadow. But that doesn’t mean the iPhone has less details. Putting contrast is an illusion to make the subject Pop. Giving the iPhone an advantage for filters and editing the right contrast and sharpening. Since filters and editing apps are more popular in iOS devices. Like the Lightroom.
For the low light test at the end, did you use the night sight for the Pixel 3? I’ve been seeing some videos on that it seems like a real game changer but in your demonstration it looks like you didn’t use that feature. Love your videos and products, keep it up!
carver 9 cuz I do videography and while Pixel takes by far the best pictures. The best camera for video is the iPhone XS. And the overall best camera is the IPhone
jmarston4 😂woah take a chill pill. I watch a lot of RU-vid tech videos. So therefore I can vote for the iPhone. Plus I’ve taken photos and videos on both.
The night shot in the park.. I was in awe looking at the picture from the pixel 3. Also, could you try clicking pictures of the mountains all around from Sky View Observatory? One gripe I have with phone cameras is that photos of mountains far away taken on them look so bad when compared to the sight in front of you visually.
Pixel: King of photography iPhone: No one has better video recording than iPhone Samsung: Embarrassing. Too many softening and beauty effect. Just unreal for sure. Like ew!
9! Most comparisons it seemed to me the note 9 edges out the others. Those through the glass shots on the pixel were pretty awesome though! We're all the images taken in the native phones respective apps or in your own app? Curious about your app as I've been toying with the idea of photography on my note 9 and I was impressed with your review and this comparison vid! Thanks!
