Phones have come a long way and the yearly releases don't see as high a performance bump when upgrading as was the case 4-5 years ago. This is why I only upgrade to a new phone every other generation now. With any upgrade, this probably means new accessories also...especially for protection to keep your new phone pristine. I've used Whitestone tempered glass protectors in the past and now will likely stick with the brand as it seems to be the superior brand/technology. I also have come across my favorite case for my Pixel 8 Pro with Torras.

Funny, I have the same screen protector, case (with different, separate kickstand though) and wireless charger. Some things to note: 1. the Torras case lips are not completely level around the screen, they are lowered slightly on the sides to ease off the back gesture - which I love 2. it's not very grippy, so not much (if any) silicone or rubberized compounds. Also pretty heavy. 3. the back is hard shell plastic, and smoked window is very limiting in what colour you can see 4. the WhiteStone tampered glass leaves like a millimeter of empty space between its border and case lips, so you can feel the ravine there. Its very minimal though, and noticeable only when swiping from the far edge of the screen.

Great video! I have the same case on my 8 Pro and also ordered the other model that has a stationary magsafe array and the kickstand is a metal on at the very bottom of the phone. These are fantastic cases with a grippy soft touch finish and military drop rating. I've probably had 50+ cases over the years and this is an absolutely solid design. I need to get the Whitestone Dome screen protector as the Zagg one I applied leaves entirerly too much room between it and the case. It also has that terrible 'u' cutout for the front-facing camera. Thanks again for this great video and it's nice to see somebody else discovered the excellent Torras cases.

Thanks! And awesome! I also thought about getting the other Torras but seemed I had more functionality with the ring stand option...also, I don't change cases once I pick one unless I have to.

Awesome video! This is exactly what I was looking for and was the deciding factor for getting this case. For only $30 it seems like a steal compared to the pricey Mous cases and Dbrand cases with magsafe. Also that screen protector is neat! I was always hesitant with screen protectors because I end up getting air bubbles but the way you did it looks so seamless

Thanks! Yeah the case met all my criteria while still showcasing its design...one of the downsides of cases is hiding the phone's look especially if you specifically picked a certain color. As far at the screen protector, ever since I discovered them, it is the only protector I now use...just seems factory after it's installed.

Literally no reason to use this expensive screen protector on a flat screen.

Definitely agree. I've been using a $10 tempered glass protector on my 8 Pro since day one. Best thing Google did was to do away with the curved displays.
