With the Google Pixel 8 pro you get less and pay more, with the OnePlus 12 you get more and pay less and with the Tensor G3 you get less performance and more heat, with Qualcomm snapdragon 8 Gen 3 you get more performance and less heat. Sounds like the OnePlus 12 easily beats Google Pixel 8 pro.
Was almost half the cost of the equivalent iPhone. Takes easily as good photos and has enough horsepower for what I want in a phone. Good screen and looks cool. 👍🏻
as long as the tensor chips are considerably weaker, than snapdragon and the iphones, it's not interesting at all, at least for the pricetag, the tensor chips are fina for the A pixel and maybe the normal pixel, but the pro needs more power! if the camera is not prio 1, oneplus is the fad better pick.
I agree. The OnePlus 12 is better from an objective standpoint. The only exceptions being Google's AI features and other Pixel-exclusive features (but that can be said when you compare it to literally any other phone). I will say that for people who are more into photography, the OnePlus 12 is actually better because OnePlus gives you more manual control over the camera. So from that viewpoint, you can actually do way more with it
7:46 Pixel is already half price almost everywhere lol. I got mine through my carrier for $399.99. Ended up selling it because of the over heating issues and poor battery life, but it is not a bad phone if you get it for a good price.
The two things i miss when im not using a pixel is the screaning calls and the super fast and accurate speak to text feature. Other then that everything else is better on the oneplus.
i switched from op 9 pro to pixel and i have to say that both experiences are 10/10 so its only a question of personal taste of the look and the software.
I love the pixel it's design, camera,ui etc but i bought OnePlus 12 coz of the charging speed, battery backup, and 8gen 3 i could manage the battery but the tensor cpu is so far behind 8gen 3
OnePlus 12 is a beast. I've had this OnePlus 12 since it's launch and it has been a perfect device. Only downfall is there's no custom ROMs for it yet but to be honest I'm fine with stock rom for now.
Thie may not be on the the mind of many but the pixel stands out to me in the text to speech. i used this function daily for hands free operation. no other brand seems to be as good as the pixel at understanding
I'm Team Samsung right now. I used to love OnePlus phones; the fast charging is great. Although I found myself not using it because the cords aren't long enough. I stopped buying OnePlus phones because I absolutely hate curved displays; my OP7P helped me figure that out.
I am currently using pixel 7 and the hardware is a big disappointment. The screen isn't bright enough, there is a colour shift on screen and it is annoying, the touch keypad lags too often. The only positive thing about the pixel phone is it's camera processing. They really suck in the hardware department.
I bought a Pixel 8 pro and after a week of use I miss my old Samsung S9 plus! It is incredible how frustrating is to see how many problems Pixel has! I am so sad for choosing it, I saw many reviews and 90% of them were enthusiastic... I am really disappointed, google pixel8 pro is the worst smatphone I have ever used and the worst choice I could do.
OnePlus lasts longer and charges faster, that’s the most important thing. No point in having a phone that can’t last all day, especially when it’s essential for work. I know there’s going to be the odd balls who have Pixels that some how lasts all day, but it’s evident of Google’s poor QC, you never know what you’ll get with them. Either your phone works well or it doesn’t.
I'm watching this in a OnePlus 12 the fast charging the charger included in the box the amazing screen 512 gigs of storage 16 gigs of RAM and the amazingly smooth operating system. The OnePlus 12 all the way. When Google is using a mid-range chipset. It really doesn't deserve to be called a flagship although it has a great camera it just has too many glitches
@@Zilchdragonfly0MDDD this comment seems about stupid lol... These batteries haven't exploded yet nor did they explode on any of their previous phones
#both, I own both of these phones and I enjoy using the OnePlus over my Pixel, however, the only reason I keep my Pixel is to try the latest features such as Google recorder, and callback tracer. beyond that OnePlus user experience is much faster and smooth.
Few corrections : 1. 6:50 - Oneplus does have first party AI eraser in its photos app. So kindly add a short note at this timestamp. 2. Oneplus has 4+5 years of software update. So, as of now it is having all 4 years of OS updates left (i.e., it should get the Android 18 update as well ) in addition to 4 and half years of OTA updates - NOT 3 and half.
To correct your corrections, we don't get the Ai eraser in the UK. Also, considering the phone is already 6 months old, that means there's 3 and a half years left till it receives the last official android update. Understandably there's an extra year of security updates taking it to 5 but excluding that he's not far off.
@@JDC370 Change your region to India, go to apps->system apps, there find ''AIUnit''. Force stop it, delete its data and cache, close everything and stay at the home screen for around 10 seconds. Once you go to the photos, AI Eraser should appear. You can then change your region back to your region. Weird workaround but it worked for me. Had to redo it after the update, tho.
@@FaddliSyamsul They do not go by number of Android updates AFAIK. But years. Never heard an advertisement for number of Andoid updates at launch, nor which version of Android will be the last one updated for a model of phone. But maybe you have heard it this way. Regardless he was correct when he mentioned the time frame which starts on release date.
@@pradeepneetu yeah I upgraded from the pixal 6 pro to the OnePlus 12 the fast charging is unbelievable compared to the pixel. U Will not regret getting the OnePlus
I've dropped my oneplus 7 pro a million times in almost five years and the screen hasnt broken. It isnt that bad. I use a basic spigen case no screen protector. The back is shattered though lol.
I absolutely love my OnePlus 12! I pre-ordered it for $599 and it was the best decision I've made in buying a phone. I had nothing but trouble with all my Pixel phones and I'll never buy another.
@@prajwala2511 My Pixel 2 XL was ok, my Pixel 6 Pro was horrible. It was really glitchy and slow and the battery was awful. I had to charge several times in a day and charging was aggravatingly slow, even using Google's charge brick and cord. I always held my breath with each software update because it would screw something up in our phones with almost every one, like Messages or the Phone! Also, we live rural and the 6 Pro's antenna wouldn't connect well to any of the three Verizon towers we are centered near. It would drop calls on occasion, which my OnePlus phones never ever do. We've had our OnePlus 12's since February. I haven't had any glitches at all, even with software updates. It is fast fast fast. Charging it is amazing and I never have to watch my battery draining during a day. In 9 hours at night on Do Not Disturb, it will go down 1%. I am crazy about this phone even after more than 6 months!
Have both. Honestly I prefer the OP 12 over the Pixel. OP12 demolishes the Pixel in everything but camera, yet it’s not a huge difference like it used to be.
The differences from the camera are not super huge, agree. Though, for people who are actually into photography, the OP12 is actually better because they give more manual control of the camera.
I have been using Pixel since Pixel 6 Pro. Now writing from mi P8P. My wife got the OP12, it is such a beautiful device I have to admit. Runs very very smooth. But the Pixel Experience is Just something that you have to own it, to know what I am talking about. I just love it. I think hardware the Op12 is better I have to admit. But in Display and cameras P8P is better. You can SEE the differences. No joke.
Wholly agree with you. For people who only read specs, of coz the OP12 will appear better. But try to use both, you will find the experience of the pixel better except for charging speed and battery life.
I've got the 8Pro and the 12 and I'm sorry team Pixel but the OnePlus has you beat. Battery Charging Performance Screen quality Etc Can not be overlooked for AI gimmick most people won't bother using. You can always change the software but you can never change the hardware, that's why for me Hardware is always king.
I've had the Pixel 7pro and trade-in for the OnePlus 12 and man I can it's a day and night difference and for those who care about the camera they're top tier and I was shocked by the results. The camera on this OnePlus 12 is OUTSTANDING ✨
Both are my favoirite phones of Android. But this time Oneplus has edge in terms of battery, charging speed, display quality, better/faster chipset etc...
Personally, as a Oneplus user, upgraded my 10 Pro to 12 and really liking the upgrades it brings, especially the camera stack & quality, 100W charging along with battery life.
Pixel is awesome for camera but the tensor really is a deal breaker for me. It’s so behind compared to Qualcomm and apple chips for longevity I don’t know how it would hold up. One plus 12 is a good balance of everything. Camera on the 12 is solid. Software is butter. And it looks attractive in my opinion.
It's not that bad to be honest.... Definitely high gaming or graphics usage may result in lagging otherwise pixel's processor is not that bad for daily usage
Could you please provide me with a comparison of the haptic feedback of the OnePlus 12 with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Google Pixel 8 Pro, and Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max? I would greatly appreciate your insights on the differences and similarities between these devices in terms of their haptic capabilities.
IMHO, noticeably better battery life, fast charging and Snapdragon inside overweight the pluses of pixel. I already have a mirrorless camera, so my phone shouldn't be the top camera phone
Pixel phones SUCK!! only good aspect is camera! Overheats, shutting down internet, maps is lousy and battery is pathetic!! I threw it away after having 2 replacements. My beater Motorola functions flawlessly. Poor camera but >>> pixel on all phone functions. Trust me doNOT waste money on pixel phones. I had 3 and all sucked.
Used both. Ultimately the OnePlus is vastly superior. Better modem, better battery, better charging, slightly better camera and the curved screen is irrelevant when it’s in a case. Pixels don’t last a full day on a charge and in the UK don’t have a software edge like the US phones.
Unless and until pixel phones start using snapdragon chipsets, they're going to be a bit of a compromise. The others phones have caught up in the camera department. So there's nothing really going for the pixel.
Do you think it's worth waiting for the OnePlus 13? I want to pull the trigger, but 6 months of update coverage for the OP12 has already passed and the OP13 is coming out at the end of year in China. I'm not in rush to switch as my current Iphone 13 Pro works great...
im a oneplus enthusiast, been using since oneplus 1, oneplus 5 and oneplus 8. but the greenline issue breaks the deal. migrated to iphone. traumatic with the greenline. is it still happening? because i kinda miss android
Watching from my OnePlus 12 black edition shown in the video. I'm really satisfied with this phone. Every single thing that you mentioned about this device is super accurate. The only issue I found from the recent update, Was the battery performance reduced a little bit (just a little), I hope they take care of it in the next update. But the charging speed will blow your mind. The gaming performance, The snapyness, The display quality, The software experience, The camera, The surround sound speaker is top notch. And OMG the haptics!! 🤩😍 You always feel like typing something. It feels so good.
The only people who think more updates = better are the ones who switch every year, so they don't know how it actually makes your phone slower and worst camera on purpose
@@XP9724 its get's heat up in normal usage only. even pixel's main focus is on camera it heats up. Also installing updates takes hours to install, and as time passes storages gets slower with time
Pixel has a better camera, call screening, now playing, default gemini integration, first-party AI tools for photo editing, content summarizing, better UI etc... OP12 can be compared with 8a at best and will still lose, op12 has shit software. I am s23u user might upgrade to pixel9p.
Google's tensor G3 performs like a 300$ midrange phone chip...So there shouldn’t be any comparison between these two...And i donno i feel the camera of Pixel is overrated. The portrait comes out sh*t with the worst edge detection from a 1000$ phone lmao.Oneplus 12 is overall a better phone.Pixel has so many issues like network issue, call drop issue, wifi issue, battery degradation issue, phone getting hotter after using camera outside in couple of minutes. So i would request people not to go for pixel.
Oneplus 12 is better superior chipset has ufs speed 4.0 and has a new usb c 3.2 for video output and finally a 4k selfi only downside is ip65 instead of ip67 or ip68 onlything pixel has is 7 years os over oneplus 4 years os
What is actually going on with the oneplus mobiles only because I cannot get it on a contract on any shop in the UK you have to buy it from the provider
The thing is, for me at least... that when you use a curved screen phone with a case, it eliminates the accidentall touches. Every RU-vidr is using a phone without a case, and it's the same complain for curved screens.
It does eliminate accidental touches because I've used my OnePlus 12 in a case since day one and have never had accidental touches It's fine if reviewers want to mention accidental touches will happen but they also need to add that using a case on a curved display pretty much eliminates it
This is all well and good, but I sent my OnePlus 12 back for a refund; the clock on the lock screen and the notification shade is unusable because OnePlus made a stupid decision to make the hour digits deep red when they are '1'. See 7:58 for comparison. Everyone is complaining about it, I went though the OnePlus support channels and this was the reply I received: `I would like to kindly inform you that the red number 1 is a tribute to our brand, it's part of OnePlus logo. It always been red for number one in OnePlus clocks. Therefore, you can rest assured the clock is not broken. This is a default feature and it cannot be changed.` My current phone is a OnePlus 3T, and it does not have an unreadable red clock. Why no-one mentions this in reviews is beyond me as being able to quickly tell the time is basic functionality. Community posted workarounds do not work. I'm not rooting my phone and breaking my banking apps and google pay to try and fix it myself. I imagine the OnePlus 13 will have the same clock issue, rendering it useless for being able to tell the time.
