I've been learning a lot from your tutorials and I can't express how grateful I am that you've taken the time to create these tutorials. I started out knowing almost nothing about pixel art and a week into it, I can see a major difference in my art. I would also like to suggest a topic for a future video: Multiple light sources and/or Light Radiance (from fire, lava, or other glowing substances / particles). I attempted to make some scenic pixel art with a lantern in the piece, but I could not get the lighting right.

Ive been doing it for about 2 years but I had artistic skills coming into pixel art. So its hard for me to say. I learned fast by looking at how others draw, basically what Im doing for you guys now.

I love your tutorials! They’ve been so helpful. What’s the setting in Aseprite so when you’re drawing lines you don’t draw adjacent pixels? Like, when you draw on a diagonal, you don’t get adjacents

Pick the pencil tool, and at the top (between brush size and symmetry options) tick the "pixel-perfect" option

Hey, I loved all the videos I watched from you and I would love if you could do one video about human faces in pixel art (both high and low resolution) for portraits or just character models in general. And I also have a question, I've drawn a 17x29 character and now all the other characters I draw are extremely similiar to that one in the face because I can't really do much on that because pixel limits. Hey, I love your videos and I been following you for about a year. Im doing pixel art also for about a year and my main creations are characters or creatures.. I would like to know if you could make a tutorial on how to 'dimension' a digital painting from lets say a giant Dragon, and 'translate' it to a 32x or 64x or even 16x pixel art style. I already tried doing it by my self but not with great success, like translating/redimensioning a digital painting from a creature to a pixel art style, without losing the main characteristics from the creature/character.. Also another question, you think its better to 'translate' a digital painting to a pixel art style from a "small canvas to big" or "big to small"? Like "16x then 32x then 64x" or "64x > 32x > 16x" My idea is to take a digital painting and recreating it in 16/32/64x for practice, but I think im not doing it correctly because when I look my arts I cant see much 'progress'. Sorry my rusty English.

@Pixel Pete The one pixel art 101 I would love to see is how to do transition tiles like grass to stone. No one on youtube has a good pixel art tutorial for it and the reading materials arn't to great. anyone got any thoughts?
