PIXIES - All I Think About Now (Official Audio) 

I think it's an inverted view of Where's My Mind. A homage to their older works. Like looking in a mirror after 20 years of never having seen yourself.

This is one of the best Pixies songs of all time. I love everything about it.

Everyone... The Pixies know what they're doing... They know it sounds like Where Is My Mind. It's meant to.

So, this song is an ode to Kim Deal. That is why it sounds like their old songs, in particular "Where is my mind", and Paz even sings "ooh-ooh", similar to the opening "ahh-ahh" in Where is My Mind. It's done with a purpose. It's like, we're still the Pixies, but Kim is not here anymore. So, the same but different. Get it?

I deeply miss Kim being part of the Pixies. But Paz doing a truly great job as a member of the band. She fits perfectly, like Kim once did. I’ve always seen the Pixies as a band which the female presence is something very important. I think the positive side is that Kim’s still playing with the Breeders, so there are two great bands (among others) from the age of rock I like the most still active and rocking. Recent albums by both bands were inspirational. That’s fucking great.

It’s actually impossible for pixies to have a bad song I have heard tons at this point and it’s just all amazing

As you get older, you get more meanings in this song. If you cannot understand my words, wait for the time which must come to everyone.

I love how it has the old sound but you can hear they evolved musically. like they matured

This song always makes me cry, one of the worst days of my life, in the worst period, this came on, the line "i remember we were happy" was something i have said alot in my teens and childhood, because i could remember happiness, but i knew i would never experience the way i did ever again, im crying while typing right now, i just, i dont know what has even happened in my life, its been so much.

A great tribute song for Kim and also a great passing the torch moment from Frank to Paz. It must've meant a lot for him and it shows his quality.

I can't sing along to most of this album because it chokes me up - I am so glad that the Pixies haven't gone to shit, because it's so easy for bands to go to shit after they've been around a while. Here's to more of the Pixies.

one of the underrated songs from pixies

Kim Deal is forever Kim Deal, but this has to be my new fav Pixies’ song: it gives me a sad happiness and a happy sadness.

This SONG IS HOW I FEEL ..not necessary the words but the music its self .. that hope in the medley.

Helped and helps me over hard times with own medical and illness problems as well as with finding my way after the death of my beloved cat man Sunshine on January, the 31. . Thank you for this great song. It always gives me strenghs to keep going on, to going the distance without any fear. This song is wonderful. I love the pixies now since I first saw and listened to them over 25 years ago. My whole family died in the last 10 years, "my woman" left, a best friend and some other good people and beings I loved very much also died, my mother was lying to me and so on, and so on. Many unpleasant times. But this song (as well as other Pixies songs) always help me to get up again on my feet. Best wishes, you were and are great, even without Kim. I can't get enough of this song... It's got that repetitive CRUNCH in the chorus... That just grabs you and commands that you listen....

the simplistic lyrics and the plaintive nature of the vocal delivery saves this. there's many ways I could see this as being trite or even embarrassing. just great execution and sincerity, and that's what separates pop from great pop. and black francis or frank or whatever tf he calls himself is a master

its curious the way some specific songs come into your life, i just recently found this one by this band and describes a very deep hard situation that i've been going through, not just a stupid vincule with somebody, just the retrospective on some kind of decision made my life tumultous all of those made by myself.. the lyrics, fuck, just simple but beautiful as it gets.. this song came at the same point that i had to break a cycle, it's painful but neccesary, cuz if i dont get outta there i'll sink in it, and need to be happy again

My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I love you Myles, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life.

Incredible, beautiful.. echoes of the 80s but all i hear is franks voice like a ghost in my mind as it plays out. Paz is brilliant but if Charles sang this it would be dream transporter back to the day i first played Doolittle all those years ago. Pixies frontman Black Francis crafted “All I Think About Now” (2016) as A THANK-YOU LETTER TO founding member KIM DEAL❕ However, the idea for such a letter was bassist Paz Lenchantin’s, the very one who replaced Deal as a bassist. The story goes that Lenchantin misheard a tune snippet Francis played her on his phone, as Jerry Santiago’s guitar was mixed very loudly. She wrote an entirely new piece from the “twinkling guitar” that she heard and showed it to Francis, who liked the music and invited her to sing lead over it. Lenchantin accepted, provided he penned the words. So Francis asked her what she wished to sing about. Lenchantin recalled : “I thought for a couple of seconds and I said, ‘Well, the only thing I would really love to sing about for this is Kim Deal,’ who is such a big part of this, obviously, in the history of the Pixies. SHE’S THE REASON WHY I’M IN THE BAND. SHE’S LIKE A PHANTOM IN MY HEART. And I said, ‘I would love a thank-you letter to Kim.’” WORTH MENTIONING… This happens to be the first time Paz Lenchantin has ever sung by herself on a record‼️ 💙🎶💜
