The Sims 2 pizza is, to be fair, just using a wholeass photo for its texture. It was probably a crunch-motivated decision from someone who didn't have time to make a texture from scratch.
@@RebeckadV No. That was just the style of texture making during the late 90's and early oughts. Look at contemporary and earlier 3D games and you will notice a pattern of this. In fact the method was so common that in the same year, HL2 used a real dead burn victim as the base for one of the burnt bodies. Something which is retroactively pretty disturbing and ethically questionable... That said, I do think as a general rule using photos as the base for a texture generally leads to richer results than making one from scratch so long as you use things like bump and specular maps and the like properly when mapping to more high poly objects.
@@RebeckadV The no is towards the idea it was about crunch, as opposed to it just being part of how textures were made back then. Even games as primative as Mario 64 used real photos and edited them into textures. Though in that case, they are so blurry it's hard to tell without a trained eye.
True, the aquisition was way earlier, but the responsibility for the Sims was transfered from maxis to EA in 2006. The games that were released before and after ring a bell, anyone?
The fact that the driver in Sims 2 literally opened the hatch on the car to get the pizza instead of just grabbing it from an invisible counter is why I love that game so much. The DETAILS! And I’m pretty sure that’s the only time the hatch is utilized on the junker car, so they made that animation specifically for the pizza driver.
@@luckyluca7197 Why are you so bothered, first off? 🤨 Like, you’re literally sitting here trying to argue about a pizza delivery NPC. Go outside and touch some grass. And the fact that you came back 12 hours later just to make no sense AGAIN…😩
The animations should definitely be revamped for the 5th one, in fact if they don't have any of the smaller details and its more simple than the 4th, I'm not getting it 🌚
And Sims 3 story depth… I remember getting a notification of a death and went to visit their home and other neighbors was there dropping off food and looking sad
@@Missginalove right! I played the 2 again and the sims would look up at me like HELLO you there... and whoever cooked food in the 2 wold put a serving down for the people in there house then grab one for themsevles. Its the small details.
Idk if it's a update, or because of the pack I have, but when I make my pizza in the pizza maker, it's still in a pizza box when served and the slice being gone is shown now.
I love playing Sims 3 but Sims 2 animations were done with so much love. THE DETAILS!! I love that he pushes the hatch up slightly for it to fall down naturally! PHYSICS
Uhm have you forgotten how hard it is to build in The Sims 2 compared to 3 & 4? And the limited amount of swatches on objects and how it costs money to change the shade after you’ve entered Live mode? Someone who’s a little chubby gets called “Fat” based on the 2 body types available in The Sims 2 which can lead to unhealthy body standards for people who play the game because they are a little chubby, getting called ‘Fat’ is horrible. It’s not okay, period Side note: The cutscenes are hella cute though
True. The only good thing I can confidently say about sims 4 is that the graphics are much better, but they stopped trying to make them more realistic and moved to a more cartoony vibe, so it’s less of a life simulator in a lot of ways and more of a caricature-of-life simulator now. I never even got to play the other sims games, ever since I was little, sims 4 is all I ever heard of and from what I saw, it seemed like such a fun game with so much to do! Little did I know that what content came with the base game was way too minimum to really get that much out of it and there were hardly ever any fun rabbit holes to go down or super interesting places to take your skills a lot of the time without expansion packs or mods 🥲
In the sims 5 it’s just gonna be the pizza who’s gonna come by itself Édit: mom im famous :0 Edit 2: I just came back what the hell happened why did ppls argued ???
Proof that the more popular and richer you become the less you work to impress and satisfy your costumers. They out here half assin' it and we're still giving them money because we're hooked on something that was once great.
The more I compare all games, the more I truly believe TS2 was the best out of all. It just improved upon what came before it SO well. It was a gem of its own. The expansions improved the game and were done well, fundamentally. Now the graphics in TS3 were the best of the franchise in my opinion.
Sims 2 is just an ultimately superior game. They took all the love from the first game and just added to it. Also, the soundtrack from the first and second game is unbeatable, Sims 4 is definitely my least favourite game but probably the one I play the most due to the fact that there is just more to do, but lacks a lot of is original creativity.
I think I remember playing the sims idk which series but the transportation to work changes everytime you get promoted XD I still remember my sims working in military field and a tank comes to pick her up in the morning XD
Насколько же вторая часть была продуманная! Помню делились с подружками дисками с разными дополнениями, питомцы тогда были реально темой. Сделана с душой и до мелочей, как же берётся этот кусочек пиццы НЯМ 😋 😋
So many details in Sims 2. Opening the hatch to get the pizza, tipping the delivery guy, the multiple sniffs, wiping her chin as she eats, so much thought put into every moment.
I love how in The Sims 2 when they grab a slice the pizza literally bends down I love how there's actually someone who gets out of the car goes behind the trunk gets the pizza there's so much detail in The Sims 2 I wish they added those details in The Sims 3 I would say the Sims 4 but they just keep adding packs not details in my opinion
The Sims 3 is the best despite the differences in handling and at the animation of eating. But I love for Sims 3 because of the character looks so real than the Sims 2. In Sims 4 characters is also good but I still miss Sims 3. In Sims 2 the character doesn't look alive and realistic when I played Sims 2 for the first time and I scared of every sims I encounter. The Sims 2 have doesn't have much interesting open world like Sims 3 where there' are gyms, pools and many other things. See everyone opinion on which is the best Sims series but I can say Sims 3 have a lot better improvements compare to other games of Sims. So I respect other opinions but please respect rather getting offended over the small issues.
@@ShantiDoss2000 Small issues? Really? This video alone shows off several deeper issues with the Sims 3 than the pizza itself, from poor routing to blatant clipping, to badly designed animations... And offended? Stop projecting your insecurities about your favorite Sims game being the start of the decline. It certainly doesn't help your argument when every single nonopinion based thing you claim about 2 compared with 3 is objectively, provably untrue. Sims 2 sims have far more sophisticated AI and pathfinding. They act way more real. They don't do that weird steppy thing just to change orientation. They even often start talking before they stop walking... And they are always breathing and looking at other sims and things which prevents the creepy mannequin stance sims in 3 suffer from. Not to mention they can actually step over small objects. They also look significantly less uncanny. Because 3's base face model looks identical to the creepy drama masks. (I've actually seen the mesh from someone comparing it to Medieval's significantly better one) Which leads to very awkward smoothed facial features and an uncanny result for most sims without a lot of custom sliders... Almost every non-rabbit hole lot type in 3 is present in 2 btw. parks, pools, salons, beaches, gyms, bars, clubs, bowling alleys, libraries, art museums, arcades, etc... 2 actually has a few more than 3. Including actual resturaunts, actual grocery stores, clothing stores, and local businesses that can sell basically anything your sims can make or buy... You can also run almost any community lot type from resturaunts and bars, to gyms, book stores and pet stores... And the kicker? Because these locations aren't in a half baked open world, there are actually consistantly other Sims there... You are not The Sims 3. You can like The Sims 3 and still acknowledge it's many blatant issues. Most of which I have not even gone into due to the fact I could be here all day listing everything that shows the lack of time, attention, creativity, and passion that went into 3's game design, art, and coding.
Funfact: in the sims 3, children of a pizza delivery man will have a secret trait called “pizza appreciator” I don’t remember exactly what it does but I think they might get a special moodlet from eating pizza
