Pizza Tower OST - Unexpectancy, Part 2 (Final Boss) 

I love how the final foe peppino faces is just someone as insane and deranged as himself, to a whole other level

My favorite detail about the fight is the one move where he launches a bunch of the knights. Based on implication, he's pulling up the pizzascape level, but what I didn't realize until looking closely is that he is pulling it by the sword in the stone. He probably intended to use a sword attack but he's not worthy enough to get it out like Peppino - you can see it in the way he strains himself before hand and the look on his face after.

I love how the true antagonist of this game feels like a rubberhose style charatcer while the rest of the game as the energy of a Ren and Stimpy cartoon.

Whilist The Noise is a perfect cartoony rival to Peppino he isn't what I'd call Peppino's opposite, being just as intense as the titular hero and capable of rage and anguish. Pizza Boy however, i'd say is the character's polar opposite. Peppino unable to manage anything but passing intense smiles in moments of catharsis. Always a nervous and angry wreck, taking everything very seriously. Meanwhile Pizza boy is ONLY capable of smiling and only showing passing moments of nervousness at best. Taking everything like a joke even as his entire empire collapses around him.

Whether accidental or not, this game does a pretty god job at portraying how large food corporations operate

Beating the shit out of an anthropomorphic pizza is the best thing humans have ever made.

The contrast between the more goofy old timey pizzahead music and peppinos serious determination clashing makes this my favorite track in the entire game, without a doubt.

I love how insane this music is, really shows that the boss has gotten even weirder. Also, it’s cool how the way Pizza Boy scampers around similar to Mean Emcee from Wario World. They really got the references down pat!

1:24 THIS PART IS SO FUCKING GOOD FOR NO REASON

This fight is equivalent to if, during the final boss of Wario Land 3, Rudy the clown's head popped off to reveal that it was Mario piloting a clown mech the whole time. And then the rest of the fight is just you *beating the shit out of Mario* as he throws the previous bosses of the game at you.

i absoloutley love how insane, deranged, and cool the ending fight is, absoloutely the best ending anything us pizza tower fans could have asked for

Judging by his previous and current enterprises you can just *tell* Pizzahead's pizza is mid as hell. He's all about the branding, with mascots and amusements designed to entertain. The pizza itself is cheap slop made out of obligation. But Peppino? The man makes pizza, plain and simple. You know it's a 7/10 at bare minimum, quite possibly a 9.

Pizza face, made Peppino's suffering into a personal damn TV show. He never took him seriously, and it's insane how Peppino didn't snap before this fight.

Crazy how Pizzaboy or Totino or whatever the heck his name can't manage to take anything seriously even as he's attempting to murder someone and ruin their career out of spite. I also like the lore where he used to be the protagonist of his own game where Peppino was the antagonist. Kinda gives some Megamind vibes where the "villain" developed to actually be a nice guy and the "hero" was just a self-absorbed psycho the whole time.

The goofiest yet most intimidating part of the soundtrack.

Was dumbfounded by this section, music is as confusing and fast paced as the sudden bullet-hell you're thrown into and seeing Pizzahead sneaking around and all his weird animations, just perfect 👏

There’s seriously no way that this soundtrack had to go down this hard

When you really think about it, it’s really hard to tell if the fight or the music was made first. They match too well with each other, not to mention the vibe itself. A psychotic careless being with no understanding for human emotion trying to end the life of a stressed fat man for his own convenience, not taking a single second seriously.

As soon as Pizza Boy showed up and this started playing, I said to myself "Oh wow, this is a fun character."

This music is a banger, since you are facing off against someone who can be best described as a pizza themed version of The Mask, and we all know how broken The Mask is with his toon force abilities.

For a while, I was trying to think of what this song reminded me of but now I remember: The Painter's theme from Castle Crashers. Both have this manic energy to it against a cartoony character.

If we take Pizza Tower as a whole to be a representation of large restaurant chains, I'd say Pizza face is kinda like a high ranking member of the company (perhaps even "the boss", the company chairman) of the restaurant chain, while Pizza Head (aka Pizza Boy?) is the corporation itself. Going to take a completely arbitrary example here: Mc Donalds. How difficult would it be to get any single person working for McDonalds fired? Would be difficult, but in the grand scheme of things, realistic. How difficult would it be to destroy *Mc Donalds*. Like, not get the current chainman of Mc Donalds fired- I mean destroy the corporation called Mc Donalds, have all Mc Donalds brand restaurants closed. No rebranding or mergers allowed either. Practically impossible to do. I think the real argument for why this is a bad thing is made by the game when you see Pizza Head was driving pizza face all along and it turns out Pizza Head is practically an immortal (cartoon) god. People at the heads of corporations can be unethical and viscious, but in general if someone got that high in the corporate ladder, its because they have become more of a vessel or avatar of the corporation's will. Corporations maintain a sanitized Public Relations as much as possible, just like Pizza Head's constantly smiling face. They create distracting & entertaining logos and mascots so you can forget all the minimum wage laborers slaving away for them. Barley anything can hurt them apart from governments or large natural/economic disasters.

Weird note and wanted to see if anyone else found it odd too: the little walking animation pizza boy does during phase 2 seriously reminds me, of all things, a boss from a Wario World level (specifically the Mean Emcee). Might just be because this got the lable of being a Wario like but did anyone else happen to think about this when they saw it?

If I had a nickel for every final boss that was a scary floating face that turns into a wacky cartoony guy running around, I'd have 2 nickels Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice

I like this song, cause with the high-pitched vocals, it seems to be mocking you, but as the song progresses, it sounds like genuine insanity

The music in this game is incredible.

Next to the noise, this phase is as cartoony as it can get. Perfect placement in the game. Phase 1 brings up hype. Then this phase gets weird and wacky. Then phase 3 gets to pure intensified insanity.

This is arguably the best part of the song

In my time playing I think each boss represents a pillar of the corruption of the pizza industry take for instance pepper-man,you see him make weird art and never really ask why you fight a pepper instead of a more common pizza topping such as mushrooms or pepperonis that’s because in my theory he represents how pizza now is more wacky then it is like putting meatballs or pineapple on pizza it doesn’t make sense but it enjoyed by some people so let it be a strange art. Next is vigilante which from what I gather he represents those who are wrongfully integrated into a corporate pizza franchise but try to escape it the reason is because unlike the others he does not smile rather has a more angry and annoyed look and his intro image even shows him with random items stuck inside him perhaps meaning that he has became one with the tower but is fighting back but as for going after peppino I think it’s him hunting the fake version. Now onto the noise who is obviously representing a pizza mascot which are always meant to entice you into the franchise but has shown to be self absorbed due to his stage having everything that’s him like the tower in the background and even the newscast which in my view represents how you become obsessed with the fame rather than the food such as another “mascot” like John Schnatter aka papa John himself. Next and my personal favorite fake peppino who I think is a parody of how other restaurants say there the real and original restaurant but they are obviously not how you say an imperfect clone of the original founder. Finally we have pizza face who represents the pizza industry as a whole I mean for his true form stage he starts throwing tvs at you not including the other bosses who are mascots for the tower,Pizza face is meant to show unlove but rather wanting to gain more which is why he plotted to destroy peppino’s restaurant because he wanted no competition,no other to challenge him but most of all no one standing in his way of his pizza empire

Pizza Boy’s reveal was so sudden but also so COOL!! I have always wondered what the true nature of pizzaface was

Seeing this song get developed for Pizzahead was a very fun experience not gonna lie. You can clearly see the inspiration from Majora's mask final boss here

i love the random fucking train horn that blasts at 1300 decibels straight into my left ear

so, i know the lyrics are supposed to be "you want, you don't want" but hearing it as "you want ya dough want" also kinda makes a bit of sense because both peppino and pizzahead want "dough" in the intro we see that peppino's not in a good position, he's got a lot of debit, and possibly risks loosing his restaurant while pizzahead HAD a restaurant, which went out of business at some point so in a sense, both of them "want ya dough"

i'm boppin' vibbin' to this shit. i like this! this is the best final boss song i've ever heard in my life, better than "your best nightmare" (Undertale(another GameMakerStudio Game)).

I love how this song is deranged, twisted, and makes no sense. Fits Pizzaface's theme perfectly.

I see people talking about this being a fight between a small business and a large corporation and tbh that's pretty much what the entire game is, an indie game that is sticking it to triple A titles by actually being good and being made with love instead of greed Pizza Tower funny

Don't know if this was intentional but this is giving me huge Majora's Incarnation vibes. Think about it, you just get done beating up the looming presence haunting you the entire game and it reveals its true form by sprouting limbs and acting like a cartoon

This has some great OFF vibes.

This track does not fit the game at all and it unironically adds some type of incomprehensible dread into the fight because it feels like you’re going up against this force you barely know anything about with your two grubby Italian hands. This is objectively a perfect final boss theme.

Why do the vocals fit the song so well? They just make it sound so weirdcore. As MatPat said, "It's almost like Pizzahead is not trying to hurt Peppino at all, just mess with him."

I know everyone is making comparisions like "Ma and Pa Pizzaeria vs. Corporations" or other similar themes. But PizzaTowerGuy (yes, literal username) Mentioned Peppino was the Villain in a Fictional 1996 game called "Pizza Boy Tower" and those Pizza Boy cutouts scattered around the tower are of that same Pizza Boy character. Pizza Boy and Pizzahead are the same character, So this final boss is a Role Reversal. The Villain is now the Hero, and the Hero is now the Villain.
