I would like you to know that I've never attempted this before . I followed your instructions and visually copied your .txt files and although I couldn't figure out the spacing in the second .txt file , I still got the same results . Thank you. Many thanks for this! It's a little more intuitive on the PS Vita, since you don't have to reboot every time you decide to download a game there, but hey, I'm not complaining!

This definitely beats having to use a Bluray drive to convert the files to then transfer the files. I had to create a new account for the activation process ( I had another account for a few years on it and I kept getting an error code 80029519.) Much appreciated. Now to test some PS2 classics of games I could never get to convert properly to the PS2 classic versions.

@@findursol no, it's all just stock, it's also a Japanese PS3 slim the Scarlet red one, I don't know if any of that matters, I've done a PSTV, but I'm assuming there's much more to this

Question. My ps4 main account is linked to my modded vita. I want to do remote play but it wants me to login with that linked account. How likely is a ban for me? I don’t play online
Is it recommended to use your own account, or would it be wise to use a different account to download games and then play them with your main? I'd like to mitigate as many risks of being banned as possible
Hello! I'm running PS3HEN v4.90 and I keep getting error "An error occured during the start operation. (80010007)" when trying to start any game after downloading and installing with PKGi. What am I doing wrong? The same applies when I try to manually download and add ISOs to the PS3ISO folder from my computer.
Do you have to convert PS2 games for them to run? When I download PS2 games they freeze my console everyone I click one. (P.S. I have PS classics launcher & PS2 CONFIG downloaded already.)
It was a bit hard to follow your steps sir.When you went into multiman it felt like you were all over the place and the most frustrating part was when you said copy paste inside multiman. You could have explained how to copy paste it took me like 15 minutes trying to figure out how to. I know some things make sense to you but it may not to most people. Thank you for the video though I was finally able to install and start playing some games :)
PS2 classics will download and install but when I boot them my PS3 beeps and then switches off. Any idea why? It's a fat 40GB with non native ps2 support, but I thought that PS2 Classics were supposed to work on all PS3 models. All PSN and retail games are working though - excellent guide - Thank you Michael.
where did you get the packages folder etc? im so confused on that step. i just did cfw 4.90 and im trying to install pkg but i dont have any of those files. i did the steps you did on a sd card. but the package isnt popping up on ps3xmb when you downloaded it on the package installer.
Not sure if you found your answer yet somewhere else but you're supposed to create the file directories yourself within the root directory. Starting off by creating the folder titled "packages". Next, create the "NP00PKGI3" folder. After you do that, enter the "NP00PKGI3" folder and create another folder which you need to name "USRDIR". Good luck!
My console (Playstation 3 CECH-2512A with a 120gb SSD) Running the 4.90 EvilNat CFW with mmCM on Its a clean install has the mmCM only and when i run PKGi it doesnt see the Config file and it gives me a error And refreshing just gives me the same error Ive refreshed numerous times and now it looks like as if it was loading but PKGi froze down and the console itself too (I cannot reach the PS menu since it freezes there too) I do not have a PSN account and planning to play only offline. I did everything according to the installation guide but my PKGi freezes can somebody help?
@@calebwooding875 this only happens if the text files arent recognized check and make sure the folder you put them in says pkgi not pkg there are 2 very similar folders that caused me to mess up at first
I had that problem, it occurred for me because the text files were named as “config.txt.txt” rather than “config.txt”. Renaming the txt files accordingly solved the issue for me
If you play one of these games while logged in to ur psn and earn trophies, can't you get banned? Or you can play the games offline, earn the trophies, then when finished earning trophies, sign on and sync, then you'll be fine?
I'm not sure I can help much here as I use burner PSN accounts for any games I run using PKGi. As with anything, there is always a ban risk with using CFW or HEN.
I can't access anything when I start the app, I copied the fills and followed the video but the system freezes. I can't open any menus, all I can do is hit the playstation button to exit.
Yesterday rocksmith tracks I didn't have were on pkgi. I was too tired to download. Now today they are missing what happened? Even the guitar hero tracks are not showing up in pkgi. Did something happen to the pkgi store?
I have a ps3 slim 4.91 hen , i installed pkgi 1.2.4 and your 2 txt files, i reboot then hit update game list on pkgi , the update is stuck at 0% . What could be the problem?
Do you use a PS5/4 controller usually? If so, it unfortunately will not work on PKGi, so make sure to use a PS3 controller (doesn't matter how cheap or knock off-ish it is, mine is a $20 fake from my local game store lmao)

Because it took me some time to figure it out and I am sure many may wonder as well how did you do it, you have to press X to pick PS3 Root and then hold X button to access the usb drive
My PS3 says error occurred when trying to install pkgi-ps3.pkg (80029567) can you tell me why? I have multiman installed and play ISO files fine. Nevermind I had to open hen first. Didn't say that but I guess it should've been a given.
if pressing refresh doesnt load the games in pkgi, you either need to connect your ps3 to the internet, confirm the text files are correctly named, or make sure the text inside the text files is correct.
If you mean that it might mess with the store downloads or the store itself, don't worry I'm pretty sure your good because he had quite of bit of stuff on his if you look close so you should be fine
I can’t figure this out for the life of me. I do every step and it gives me the error about the files. So you might be thinking “oh just open the menu and click refresh” I can’t, it’s completly unresponsive. Please help. I’m not using hen I’m using bgtoolset
Edit: nevermind, the pkgi.txt file didn't have the text I was supposed to copy. When I open pkgi the menu with refresh doesn't pop up. So I cannot click refresh. The controllers home button works but none of the other button do anything.
