Welcome to this new series on my channel where I will talk to my friends who after their MBBS in India went on to pursue higher training abroad - Global Med Journeys. In this episode, I’m talking to Dr. Prachi Kothari, who’s a junior doctor in the NHS. She talks us through her entire journey, resources, planning, PLAB exams and the ups and downs of the journey, with her insights and tips each step along the way. Incredible girls! I am a Consultant obgyn, just like that came aross your videos. After MBBS I wanted to pursue for USMLE. I started preparing for it from 1st year(Crazy) itself. But as I finished my MBBS (2012), I saw that all of my friends were preparing for NEET PG, I didnt have enough guidance back then. I thought without proper guidance I would not be able to crack MLE and would loose the time to become an Indian doc as well. So here I am full of contentment and much obliged to my God and my Parents because of whom I am now a Consultant Obstetrician, Gyn Endoscopic Surgeon and Infertility Specialist. 🙏😅

You cant take plab until and unless you have compeleted your final med school year because during gmc regustration you need your final degree certificate to register @@hiyabhandari3467

Sure. You can always work for a couple of years and save up for your training in the US.
