Placebo - Because I Want You- Acoustic 

I found this video in 2009. My then girlfriend and I were studying together in a foreign country, she was the one who introduced me to Placebo. At the end of our studies we had to go our separate ways, back to our home countries,14,000km apart. 15 years and many relationships later, I still come back to this video and think of her and what could have been. Still hurts.

I cannot believe how after all these years I keep coming back to this video clip this song...This is the sadest song ever...with lyrics like "don't give up up on the dream, dont give up on the wanting" I am really curious about what or who gave Brian the inspiration for these lyrics...After all it is true that many people are REALLY afraid to be alone....am I into these lyrics or what!!!!

Listening to this for years. I did´nt change much...

So much better than the original version...it makes us feel more the lyrics.

I really hope Brian and the boys have seen this video because they would fucking love it. Every time I hear this version I will picture this. Your a credit to placebo fans everywhere and a middle finger to the artists who spend what must be close to millions on superficial and interchangeable. I am speechless... though fortunately for you and all those who will appreciate these thoughts, I can still type. Hats off to you good sirs. All the hats are off.

How does this not have more views?? Genuinely one of my favourite songs. Been listening to it since I was 18! Beautiful song.

The more I hear of Placebo the more I'm considering myself a fan. The songs just grip you and have a holding effect on you. Then you see a fan place a song like this to a well edited mini story video like this of a man faced with no way out. Should be an official release...

Thanks for the words everyone. The movie is called "Point of No Return" and it's from 1965. In between this man's story they have a bunch of psychologists trying to figure out what's wrong with the poor guy. It's rather silly, but something struck me with this guy's look. His face has so much buried emotion.

I heart the acoustic version way more than the normal version. This one is much more intense.

This is by far one of the best videos, for several reasons. The music of choice is superb since it is slow phased and has a down to earth simple touche to it. The production of the video is superb together with the music. Especially the train-scene from 0:41 - deep! when he closes his fist. So noir but so good! Thank you very much!

What memories it beings, coming back to this video. I remember, maybe 9 years ago I was in love with a girl I'm still in contact with today. We tried things out but it just wasn't meant to be. Great memories, what love, what interests. That sparkle. I don't see that today.
