Good job. Great video. I subbed and about to check more of them. Yup Dan is a great teacher in the classroom and in the field. And being in B.C. like we are following his advice and methods will definitely help you find the leprechauns pot of gold. No really you brought the treasure with you and they all, in my opinion had a great time. Couple of tips. Put a pan under the end of your sluice and when you do your clean up do a quick to see if you're loosening and gold. Second especially if you find any loose slow the water down. If you're on the Fraser I think that may be the problem as that fine Fraser gold loves to swim right through a sluice like it's on a water slide at the park. Just the same you guys found gold and I'm willing to bet all of you got bit by the gold 🐛
This could only ever be nothing more then a hobby. Chances of finding much gold would be pretty rare but somewhere in the back of your mind the excitement of the possibility would be enough to make it fun. And what a way to have family time..
1/4 gram... not bad. Like anything else, the more you prospect, the better you get. Ol' Danny Hurd is a good teacher... well, he actually is a teacher. When you add in the fun you had getting that gold, the value goes waaaaaaaay up.
Viewed your video for the first time. Having the family out with you is very cool. Those girls are sharp and remind me of my daughter at that age. Well done.
Thanks Dan Hurd for sending me to this channel. Awesome. Your girls are delightful. What a fun bunch of folks. I'll be looking at all your videos shortly. Good effort.
Woot! What an extremely cool little toy! May your dreams of avarice at least pay for that machine! At any rate you've already gotten your money's worth. The real gold runs on two and even four legs... :) You give us in the peanut gallery the real gold. No fools gold there! LoL.... All I gotta say is good ol' Dan the Canadian! Well, and, there's no doubt that cool hats are very important in life...
Great stuff. Keep trying guys and you will find the good stuff. Look in the bedrock cracks rather than the dirt. It could be fun with less back breaking work.
soy mexicano poco entiendo el ingles pero en verdad son muy buenos videos me gusta la cencilles con la q la familia se trata las niñas muy trabajadoras su esposa esta al pendiente en todo momento felicidades
Dan's the man!!! I'm a Dan hurder addict too and like you he's taught me a lot of things gold related and gems.the best thing is he's got a sense of humour like myself and I can relate to him.plus he always replies to comments👍 check out some of my videos.I don't find that much either but it's all about getting away and being one with nature and water.I have found nuggets but few and far between so that motivates me more.
What do you think of using a screen to classify your material before putting it in your sluice box. You may be knocking some of the gold out of your pockets from the larger rocks coming through the sluice box. Just a thought.......... Ask Jeff Williams is a great channel on youtube for armature gold mining.
We will round up for easy math. $500 sluice box divided by $5 a day equals100 more days like that and you’ll be making money. 👍😂 It’s awesome to see raw gold pulled straight from the ground. You can’t put a price on quality time with family.
Get some miner moss and strch metal in that box and you get a lot more gold, i dump buckets in and let it go and never loose any gold. unless you get some clay then you need to prewash.
That’s so cool I think VA has more Silver than Gold, but I have seen folks dredging for it in the river before. Nothing like your “claim” though! New sub here, looking forward to 2019... Cost is always relative! Lol
I think the mat wasn't catching the gold. It was float right over the top not getting into the swirling action like its designed to do. Hope they saved the cons!
Enjoy your channel. Especially the chats with your pal. You two crack me up. Question: What is the green miller table that you used at the end to get the gold from the sand? Thanks!
Yay! Thats so awesome! We're glad to have you along with us! We've never visited England, but we would love to visit Oxshott one day. Jeffs Grandad was born and raised there and we'd love to see his house as it is still standing! That's one of the cool things about England. The history!
I want to go travelling one day and I've always wanted to go to Canada. I saw new lives I the wild with Ben fogle. That is how i am so interested in your life style
