As a Russian man from Leningrad living in USA, I have thought how it would be nice to have lunch with you sometime. Sadly can't live there but will be coming back for a visit again in 2023. The first time I came to Sydney I was taken with Surey Hills. Liked the atmosphere and the cute terraced cottages, long with the food and drink too.

Nice to see Surry hills haven't changed. There's some nice lots behind all the main streets. Use to live just a street behind maloneys (or two) and it was great. Found a little place behind the the local corner shop for cheap (well not cheap lol but something I could afford at the time). It was quiet, relaxing, nice neighbourhoods etc lots of hidden spaces and nooks. Chippendale while good I feel like it's more student central, speaking of central it's okay just too posh for me but both of them are great for being closer to the CBD itself in terms of walking. So all in all if you're working and would like to live closer I'd recommend surry hills if you can afford it.

Surry Hills felt more 'open' to me in terms of ppl who might want to live there, whereas Chippendale has changed to be more student-focused (makes sense though with the choices of tertiary colleges around the area!). Your videos are wry, dry and hilarious. The suburbs you portray used to be dumps but not so much now. They're also more for young, hipster types or for buyers with deep pockets. Driving around there is a nightmare, with 40km/h speed limits with cameras (lots of $$$ for the state) and limited options to store your car. Public transport there is quite good (trains, trams and buses) but walking is even better. By the way, you look very much like Angelina Jolie! Keep up the great vids!

You're right about the demographic and transport - yes, walking is definitely the best option (certainly for me! Plus, exercise is fun this way!). You should have gone to my neighbourhood 2011, Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay. It's full of history which is literally etched into the pavement and amazing art deco apartment buildings, a good few that have rooftops with beautiful views of the city. But it's also a diverse community where a methadone injecting clinic sits across the road from an apartment building with $25m penthouses. It's got some wonderful shops, bars, restaurants & cafes. And it's also got strip clubs and adult stores. It's brilliantly vibrant.

Thanks Michael! Wow, yes - that is definitely diverse! The extremes in different directions! I might do an exploration in future, and see if I can do a day and night video, so can experience the colours and vibes of the areas 😍

@Aliya-tc5un any of the inner city suburbs have great access, but Sydney has many suburbs that often have more going on than the city itself, so it can depend on many things and where you spend most of your time. Judging from your other social media, you might like to try Paddington.

Hi Armada! I believe it was $8.50 for the sourdough loaf. At the time I thought "woah, that's crazy", but that was the first time I'd paid that much for bread - Heaven knows what it costs now though! HAAA 😂 Thanks for watching! Keep well and hope you have an amazing weekend!
