Colin love the video my family have been in Birtley since 1910 and I was born in 1969 and lived there til 2004. My Dad still lives there he’s 94 years old and can’t wait to show this thanks for posting it
Thanks for the upload..I left Barley Mow school in 1969..spent a year at Birtley south school..moved to Lord Lawson in 1970..left in 1974..great memories of that school especially the occasional caneing ..tasty school dinners..
Another superb video Colin,can't for the life of me remember where the travellers rest was but remember well Saturday mornings at the Apollo watching films, some places I've forgotten now reminded of thanks,the folk's moved into the Bungalows right behind the Sham so a good few pints put away there!
Hi Steve, i remember getting into the Saturday morning matinee at the Apollo with a PG tips tea card..saw Dr Who and the Daleks with the white haired Dr..in all honesty would have to Google the actors name
