Good thing you had rain... normally (this time of the year) it would have taken a full day just excavating the ditch. Nicely done. Watching you try to scoop up those stones reminded me of my childhood.... coming home from school with a pocket full of marbles... trying to fish them out of my pocket... stubby little fingers... wooden floors.. that weren’t level... don’t think I ever found them all!
What a nice machine that new TB260 is! Add the grading bucket and it's a game changer IMHO. Looking good Brandon, another 1st class job! Have a safe and happy 4th with your friends and family. Doug@ the "ranch"
lakesideranch thank you! Yeah it’s fantastic! I should have got the grading bucket years ago lol! Definitely a game changer. Have a great 4th too!! Thanks again
That came out lookin' pretty darn sharp. It's obvious how much you hate that big bucket LOL! When you said that wrapped this job up I said: no, you Rip-Rapped it up!
That came out really nice. You can tell you really take pride in your work. :) Your grass at the start of the video looks awesome. I'm a lawn nut and I know good grass. LOL.
You have done a amazing work 💼 on the piacing Rip Rap the Ditch I love ❤️ your video 📷 the are so amazing I can't wait for the next video 📷 #placingtTheDitch
Definitely adds to the curb appeal. I plan on doing this with my relatively small culvert, about 20' long. That black fabric, it'll stop the grass from growing up through and making it look ugly later?
@@eliteearthworksllc Thanks. Is there a brand you recommend? I don't ever want to deal with weeds/grass coming up through the rip-rap, at least not for some number of years. I'm reading about this brand Dewitt.
For the landscape fabric try the manufacturer called Synthetic Industry in Chickamauga Georgia they are one of the companies that makes it and it is the same thing as primary backing used to make carpet
Brandon, Nice work as always, they should be happy. Why don't you haul both the skidsteer and your excavator to your jobs? You might not of thought of that. You have a Takeuchi Right? A pretty shiny new one? You're an adventurous person? Right? Willing to take a few risks? Right? Do you speak Croatian? Slovakian? You can haul the excavator in the back of the dump truck. It's simple. It's done all of the time. Watch the videos below for the special loading instructions. You can thank me later :) Links below.
I like your shingle top on your building. Most metal buildings have a metal roof which eventually leak water. Can you explain how you constructed your building? I want one similar. Did you build it yourself?
Looks good. That was a really unique and weird situation with those culverts terminating right there, I didn't see the drain down by the building a first and was wondering, what the? I've got a driveway on a grade that I have slightly angle towards the ditch so all the water runs down one side, that side meets a bank and I have a nice ditch, but with a lot of trees in the area, between erosion and leaves etc.. I have to clean it annually. Was thinking of cleaning it out and filling with rip rap, but also thought it would probably eventually plug up? Do you think that size rip rap will eventually fill with sediment and need to be redone? Thanks
Thank you! It will fill with a little bit of sediment but it will take a long time. The good thing about rip rap is that it can handle quite a bit of sediment before it plugs up so you should be good. Appreciate you watching
Great looking job on the placement Brandon. You do know they make a longer trailer or I've even heard they can magically build trailers to fit your needs. Maybe that is cookies and Keebler Elves, but either way you will figure out what your needs are as time goes bye. The Paul Bunyan sequence was a classic.
Mark M thank you! Yes I’m eventually going to get a tandem truck and longer trailer. I’ll need a 30’ deck so it will basically be a triple axle 40’ trailer so I’ll need a bigger more powerful truck. Thanks again
@@eliteearthworksllc Wasn't sure if the truck would pull that and handle a load if needed. One thing at a time, getting pretty skilled with the new bucket and that takes some of the load off the skid steer. Have a great holiday coming up, hope the weather lets you enjoy it.
I have Rip Rap in the ditch that goes between my house and the road. I have a concrete driveway for my garage but also want to be able to back an RV into my side yard which means it has to go over the Rip Rap. Not too good for tires, I don't think! I don't want to put in a second concrete driveway unless I have to. Any ideas on what I could do to make the Rip Rap navigable for backing an RV trailer in over and beyond it into my side yard?
I would put 1”-1,5” clean rock over the rip rap when you want to back your rv in. It will be smaller for the tires but also let water run through it like the rip rap does
Would it have been easier to place the rip rap in front with the loader? How far was the site from where you store your equipment? It would sure be nice to bring both machines with you all the time. I am affraid that the water will miss the catch basin in a heavy rain, might need to build a berm to keep the water from blowing over the top of the catch basin.
Brian Gardiner yeah it would have been easier to get it to the ditch with the loader but it was an 1.5 hour round trip. I did explain all that I’m the video I just didn’t have to go back that day and get the loader
@@eliteearthworksllc That is what I get for watching TV while watching videos. I think the same company that built the excavator buckets also makes 4-1 buckets. Just sayin LOL
Really turned out good looks like you took tree trimming lessons from Jason works alot and yeah you better not scratch it up cause the CEO Mrs elite might ground you from it lol. Keep up the great videos
Now if u ad a roto to it . Do u ever watch that guy with a roto with a grapple on it ? I keep thinking he is going to pick up a broom with it and sweep at the en
Wait so..... People with heavy machinery dont only work when it's raining leaving HUGE ruts in every piece of land they can and doing donuts to "level out" the hole? I swear where I live we have the worst companies they all destroy every property they touch. I got hit by Micheal (had 17 trees removed during a rain storm) and like 6 months before that I had my septic redone. RIP my property you cant walk across my front yard without damn near breaking your ankle every half step.
Chasing The Fish that’s aggravating man. I try to leave places better than they were before I started. I did landscaping for 18 years so finish work is my thing. But yes we have companies here that just worry about their one job and tear the hell out of stuff
Chasing The Fish lol no worries man people around piss me off too because no one cares anymore. They have their one job to do and won’t fix anything back. Yeah I went a little crazy on the yard. Thanks again
You did it all wrong you’re supposed to spin around with the skidder so you tear up grass and dirt then you are supposed to leave piles of rock in the ditch and the random rock for the mower to hit laying around dam rookies 👎
Robert Pugliese thank you! Sitting the way I had it kept me out of the other lane plus changed the angle a bit on the boom and kept it from hitting the tree limbs. Thanks again
