+Anonymous It's free on mobile last time i checked. You just had to pay for the extra stuff like the necro virus and such. The PC version already has all that stuff so it costs money up front.

The thing is I'm genuinely worried that games like this and movies that get evolution so so HORRIBLY wrong are going to be played by people who don't have a good understanding of evolution and will end up being persuaded by people who want to "teach the controversy in schools" Ok, that's probably a stretch

+Zachary Taylor If you think this game will have any sway in this area then I suggest you simply walk down the street asking people if they know how vaccines work. 9 times out of 10 you'll get a stupid answer or someone who think its a magic drug that cures you from illnesses. Its always mind boggling when people are confused as to how they got sick from a vaccine.

I don't like playing this way even though it's the best strategy. It's just so unrealistic that it's dumb. That's not how things evolve. Every virus infecting every person somehow just simultaneously mutates in the exact same way? Probably not.

+Tokath1988 That is the obvious strategy. Simple and solid. Try out the multi player. It´s a lot of fun, because the winning objective is slightly changed and the single player strategy does not really work.

+Zachary Taylor if I wanted realism, this is probably one of the last games I'd play (after, of course, custers revenge) but this is a pretty fun time sink. Not everything is supposed to even attempt realism.

I am not a space game player, but me and my wife where very happy when we found this game and very pleased when they enabled multi-player in this game. +Rayle Entair It would mainly be a matter of diverting an asteroid's trajectory, and knowing which direction to accelerate it so that it has an impact with Earth. You wouldn't be launching it so much as nudging it so that its orbit ends up intersecting with Earth. That would probably involve sending probes with big honking engines and attaching it to the asteroid in the right areas, and burning in the right direction. However, there's two main issues: 1. Even a slight miscalculation could make it miss Earth entirely. In the grand scheme of things, Earth is a minuscule target. However, any tampering at all is dangerous because its new orbit is more likely to impact us at some point in the future, but not when you intended. Remember, you're not 'throwing' it at Earth in a straight line, you're just changing its orbit. So it's going to keep coming back around. 2. It would probably take too much energy to change an asteroid's velocity to be feasible. You might be able to nudge a smaller asteroid, but it wouldn't do as much damage. If we're talking about some kind of evil genius holding the world hostage by threatening to move a extinction level event causing asteroid, he's gonna have to deal with a serious catch-22: the bigger the asteroid, the more likely it is to kill lots of people, but the more difficult it is to move. We might be talking less attaching rocket boosters to an asteroid and more setting off several massive nukes in the right part of the asteroid, but imagine how difficult that would be to get just right as it would have to be. I would go ahead and say it's technically possible, but at this point too difficult to have any fear of it happening.
