@@Faelivri There is still quite a difference on telling people to say home to not infect others and telling people to stay home so their bodies wouldnt be a burden on street or in hospital 😅
Prion in Plague Mode: Able to slow down cure speed, but its upgrades take longer for their effects to actually work. Prion in Cure Mode: *99% fatality rate go brrrrrrrrrr*
I struggled to beat it on normal, but the nano-virus doesn’t even compare to the bio weapon. It might be impossible to beat on brutal, let alone mega-brutal
@@azim_azcuber7263 the problem with WHO is that they're no one in face of people, despite they eradicated smallpox and contained numerous diseases via vaccine distribution in Africa.
@@a_normal_gu878 but in real life prion can't become a pandemic, because in order to get infected you need a brain contact. Unless the origin is an animal that goes trough food chain, even cooking doesn't destroy prions
I like how at 7:17 only Ireland was red and Great Britain was completely free of the plague. Makes me think about how the UK screwed Ireland in real life.
Bio weapon is twice as hard. In my last attempt I got all entire world dead and only some of them recovered and won by censorship. It was hard. but I'm 100% sure that Pravus can beat the bio weapon and I am here waiting for the bio weapon
Lmao,in lower difficulties all you need to do is find authority initiatives and fund censorship and fake news and the bio weapon will eventually kill itself, however the score will be shit
You probably did it on brutal or lower difficulty. It is imposible to win that way on mega brutal, if u wanna win on mega brutal u must do south america lockdown and if it leaves the continent - restart
I just took advantage of the Prion's really long incubation time. Picked up the prolonging ability (hourglass thing), the Neural Enhancers and the Reassure Infected. Then invested everything into SPEEDING through vaccine development and reducing infectivity. Won it without the use of any lockdown measures. Continental lockdowns generally seem like a terrible idea in the early game, except maybe for the Bioweapon
Is works basically. But if you want a lockdown, do only one in the first country infected and rush vaccine amd incubation extension. However you will have at most 20000 deaths if you do lockdown, cause recources are tight.
To me keeping the bioweapon in a single continent (and maybe also lock down airports, seaports, land borders, and the continent in general) makes me feel like the player is strangling the bioweapon until it fizzles out and dies.
@@anthonyschocke2831 It pretty much is. Bioweapon is already difficult, but curing it with a vaccine is even more difficult, and it's needed for the achievement (I wrote to Ndemic, so they clarify it in the achievement that you need the vaccine). Vaccine research simply takes too long in the Bioweapon game, even on Normal. The disease will kill its hosts so quickly that it'll eradicate itself often at 80 to 90% at last, even with save scumming (getting the bypass testing thing to work) and not getting the anti-vaxxer event, *and* every possible ability that increases research speed and output.
The part where people die in their homes is literally a secret strategy for Bio Weapon, as in there is a glitch where you win because everyone is dead, but you maintain your authority and since the number of infected is 0 the game interpret that you won
the extended incubation thing works, but you need the advisor for reduced authority loss on panic and you must get the production online asap, so that when the research is over you are at 80-90% of production already. Use both Authority freezes and pray to whatever you believe in that you finish the game before that second freeze is over.
A fun idea would be an online version of Plague Inc where one person controls the disease and the other person tries to eradicate the other player’s disease
this already exists in the main game, both players control one plague and they have to try to make their own plague kill all humans while trying to stop the other player from doing so
@@psalm91rdwlkfpgrl it's funny how i didn't pay any attention to that when playing any illness but when you actively control the plane it seems so dumb
this happens all the time, Argentina sends ships to Australia going all the way through the Atlantic and Indian oceans instead of only going through the Pacific
The things you said at the beginning of the video..( about first minute and 30 seconds ), reminds me of my own words in the Bio-weapon scenario haha. Also, whenever you play Plague Inc, at the end of the video.. even though it's not there anymore, I can still hear in my head "Exit the Premises" playing... good song.
You used almost the same exact strategy here that I used for bio-weapon. That's really cool! Even though I know there's very little to no chance that you'd notice and watch my shitty videos, that's cool to see. A veteran doing what I did heheh, that's lovely. I don't quite remember what I did exactly in my prion on mega-brutal playtrough, but I assume I did something similar to this. I regret not recording it as I done it on mega-brutal.. but oh well, maybe I'll try again and record it this time heh. Well anyways, cool video Emperror Pravus, keep up the great work!
The first time i tried Prion I couldn’t reassure people because I already did it twice and panicked because everyone was panicking and I was rapidly losing authority. *this was on normal. I barely scraped by with around 14 authority*
While it is kind of cheating, you can save your game early on and find out where the starting country is -- reload that save and then go to that country IMMEDIATELY.
in order for countries that have not been infected to play ball with quarantine measures you have to have the quarantine coordinator active so that when a neighboring country is infected bordering countries take the same quarantine actions.
I wish complete authority loss just came with massive debuffs instead of an instant game over. At the very least I'd like an option to keep going, just to see how the disease runs its course unchecked. Even in normal mode you keep going until the very last infected person dies or becomes cured, not when the cure is researched.
This is more realistic than Plague mode since humanity is in no real danger of dying, what your job is is to maintain a hold over the world, save as many people, and develop the cure, not save humanity, since most of the time someone somewhere survives even if the chance is extremely low
In that case just let us spectate past game over. I'd really like to see how everything turns out even if I failed, because authority loss always results in a really premature ending.
I only beat this on mobile by glitching it, i was at 80% production and if you send the plane from canada to new zealand you dont lose as soon as the plane is on the air
Hey Pravus! Not sure if you are aware of this already or not, but you might have some chroma subsampling when recording (eg, notice the oddly murky red text next to the infected count, even on max resolution). If you use OBS to record, you can disable subsampling from Settings>Advanced>Color Format by setting it to I444 or RGB. It will eat up more resources though! Give it a try, you might just like it :D
For those wondering why 100% fatality rates, the prion in real life is incurable and invariably 100% fatal because it causes your brain to become a literal sponge, riddled with holes. Prions are proteins in your brain chemistry that were created abnormally and have the ability to induce their abnormality in other healthy proteins and cause cell death. Kinda like a cancer. Or a zombie outbreak. Fun! However the most unrealistic aspect in the game is that while prions are indeed very slow and incredibly severe, they do not transmit well. Only consumption of infected flesh (Mad Cow Disease, remember that one?) and blood exchange can really cause a prion transmission.
actually, if you go to responses, go up on the bottom right up until you get to this one button that says in the description (reduce authority lost due to deaths) IT HELPS A LOT
I've seen videos of people who beat it all on Mega Brutal. plus no advisors, on pc. I do not doubt the luck aspect, however, the best way to detect the disease quickly relates to the amount of bordering countries to the epicenter. For example, Austria/Central Europe is a good start. So maybe the best start is to move your plane, starting in Saudi Arabia, and moving north west until you get to France, and head then to the population centers (India and China) To make sure that they don't get infected? Central Asia could also very well be a good candidate, if your going from France/Saudi Arabia. Of course, pathing patterns could be modified if you find the bugs, or if you are concerned about a bigger outbreak. Also, good work, and good luck for Bio Weapon!
actually i didnt have problems with the prion at all, it started in brazil and i was able to contain it without any trouble. as long as you have a good starting country, just use the lockdown, it works very well. my fatality rate didnt even reach 100%
One time I was playing the prion in cure mode and the fatality rate was something like 45%. Also if you play the Disease X and select the prion you'll see that the starting lethality stat is 600
I can’t wait when Plague Ink Evolved Cure Mode gets an update to include zombie virus vampire simian flu (however you spell it) and nereax worm (however you spell that to)
A tip is that as soon as you start get the starting moves and then immediately save the game. Keep playing in the game that you were playing though. Once you discover the origin country, load your save and head to the origin country you already know. That might help. Another tip is that if you go to the world screen and click on the Authority icon in the top left above the country map you can see which countries are damaging your Authority the most.
So like. I never knew what a prion was for years, i thought it was some kind of protozoa but thats more of a parasite kinda thing. Prions are actually a type of protien within the brain and when it refers to a disease causing prion thats actually a misfolded version that just doesn't break down and slowly overcrowds the brain. While they are extremely rare currently from my understanding they have a 100% fatality rate. If youve never actually looked it up, first make sure you can handle it since it is pretty hard core like any other disease when looking closer. But if you can handle it it is very fascinating with our, albeit small, information
Pravus: *Strictly lock all Europe* Random person: AW NAH I WANT TO GO TO SOUTH AMERICA Pravus: *Strictly lock all South America* Airplane: Sorry mate what did you say? Restrict flights? Pravus: *LOCK DOWN ALL CONTINENTS*
Pravus: &reassure the infected 1 and 2* Also pravus:lmao its got a 99% fatality rate and at least they're dying in their homes instead of infecting others
