Plain White T's "Delilah" Guitar Center Sessions on DIRECTV 

Absolutely LOVE this song and love this video as well. My son Eric turned me on to this one in the past few years -- now it's part of my memories of him, and him and me together. Eric passed away on February 19, 2024, and I miss him like crazy. He loved music and concerts -- we attended several together, and I'm so glad that he shared some of the artists he followed who I hadn't heard about. This is one of the best! 💗

DELILAH was a girl he met at a party. She was a college track star athlete. He was so smitten by her that he told her he was going to write a song about her. She did not believe him. Surprisingly to her he did and had a hit song. They never dated but went to a music awards show together. DELILAH now coaches college track and when she hears the song she wonders if people know it is about her. ALL TRUE.

I'm not into this type of music whatsoever, but I can't deny the simple brilliance of this song. I don't hear it too often, but when I do everything just seems to go in slow motion, and I think of past mistakes and what could have been. The song does that to me, and it's quite the beautiful thing in itself.

Seems so long ago I had just lost my wife when i heard this song on Guitar Center. Due to our careers, she oR I would travel to different places. On 911, she was on travel while i was at home. I was in NYC a week before Christmas after all the wreckage of the Towers had been removed. It was so quiet and solemn. Me walking in Times Square at night at that time of the year, alone. Don't know why hearing this song, makes me picture her walking alone in Times Square

A master performance and a song that will live for eternity. Tom higgenson (lead singer) has great vocals in the middle! He was so into the song and I can only dream of ever writing a song more beautiful.

For me this was one of those very rare songs. Upon the first time I heard it I thought who is this! Just a well crafted piece plain and simple.
