Today, It’s time for my January 2023 bullet journal setup in my new notebook! In this first plan with me video of 2023, we are starting off with an Antiques theme monthly setup - a perfect companion for my last year’s January vintage camera theme! This includes minimal layouts with a bit of scrapbooking style and watercolor paintings. I hope you’ll get some ideas for your own January 2023 bujo setup!
We have officially entered the season of giving! Loved this layout! I did a few papers for school on a typewriter in like 5th and 6th grade. This was the early/mid 90s and we didn't have a computer yet. And, I want to get a typewriter style keyboard for my computer. I also remember my grandparents had a rotary phone. It was wall mounted.

For my monthly setups, not that I am very good at completing them, I like to have a cover page, habit tracker, sleep tracker, monthly goals, mood tracker and my weekly spreads which I change the decorations of but keep the layout always the same!

I loved this setup, especially the typewriter. But I also liked how this was supposed to be a vintage setup and the rose kind of stole the show 🌹 I have decided to trim down my monthly spreads because they were not making me productive. The only two I have are the cover page (because I love sitting and creating that) and my monthly calendar with a big notes section. Trackers and all those other stuff are at the beginning (or the back of the journal) as part of my yearly set-ups.

I have an old-fashioned typewriter and I love it! I bought it from Etsy recently because I missed having a typewriter so much. I use it for journalling and it makes me feel so calm and happy every time!

I love it. I can never get the vintage aesthetic to work for me but I love when everyone else does it. Lol. In my journal I always like to have a currently section with music, books, podcasts, and movies/tv. I also like to have a one line a day spread so that I can still memory keep every day but it’s not daunting because it’s just a simple line so I can keep up with it. 😊

This is gorgeous! And mighty to save is such an amazing song. I always do a cover page, habit. Mood tracker, then my weeklies. I used to do finances, and may go back to that this year. I also record my sermons notes from church every week

I really enjoyed this layout! I love vintage! I used a typewriter at my first job, annoying but cool. We had rotary phones while growing up. Those were fun, but a nuisance when you messed up a number 🤣😂 I'm currently still working on my 2023 setup. A lot more is going into this one. ✨️ Thinking of going back to watercolors this year. Your setup looks very pretty! My monthlies are very basic, calendar, ToDo List, weeklies. I don't track habits/mood etc in my bujo. Sometimes I add pages e.g. I have a spread for christmas in my december setup.

My monthly spreads can look different from month to month but I always, ALWAYS need to have some type of overview of the month as well as a cover page. Since I started BuJo specifically for the reason of trying to do more art a cover page is a must and the monthly calendar I need for my day to day life❤

I’m totally new to the journal/ planner/ whatever it’s called. I started to look into this because the planners that I would buy at the beginning of the year wouldn’t have what I needed. So I decided to make my own. I love full painted spreads. So I’m having at least one for every month. I have all my themes picked for the year. I’m almost done with drawing everything out so I can start inking and adding color. I’m between inktence or alcohol markers at the moment for January.

I always have a cover page I like to use a design that follows the month. I like your pick for the month, it’s nice to have a cover that is not based on the month. I think next month I will try that. Looks beautiful ❤ love the vintage look to all the items. I was gifted a typewriter recently, and I have been using it to add in the quotes in my journal or even to write a message inside a card, birthday or Christmas card. I just love it so much that I found an excuse all the time to use it. I remember those phones, my parents used to have one and I have one myself for decor in my house.

Beautiful! I love vintage/antique things so your themes really speak to my personal aesthetic. Im relatively new to bullet journaling so I don’t have any “must have” monthly spreads that I prefer just yet. But I’m trying to find spreads to help organize my efforts to start creating content for RU-vid and activities for my toddlers to do to so they are engaged with learning or creating. Love this theme and all the spreads idk why but i just love these vintage spreads and ngl you are the best one out there nailing this type of theme to me. And i love doing a memories spread in my monthly setups it's something I created myself out of the gratitude spread and instead of writing gratitude I just write something about that day. It's a good way to remember all those little happenings in life I hope you'll give it a try!! 💗

Vintuary or jantage? Personally i love all of the different vintage items- the typewriter the most! Typically i use the weekly spreads the most, and finish them while i do my monthly bujo. It works better honestly 😅😁

How come I didn't discover you earlier when I love all your themes and the way you make them ? It is once again so pretty ! For my bujo I usually include a monthly overview, habit trackers (though they mostly end up empty 😅), weekly spreads and something of a review of the month (what went great, what didn't). I keep it fairly easy cause I'm still struggling to keep up with my bujo and am a bit of perfectionnist who hates empty pages.

My monthly always include a habit tracker and a time tracker. It is important to know how much time I wasted doing whatever and how many hours I worked so I know how much I will be paid for each month. I loved that you continued your 2023 theme specially since I love the vintage aesthetic.

As a full time student, I've found that I don't have a ton of time to fill in extra spreads, so I've narrowed it down to a cover page, a monthly calendar spread and a few habit trackers before my weekly spreads. I love this vintage theme! I do a lot of collage, but maybe when I have more time, I'll try a water color illustration for my cover page. Thanks Charizze!😁
