I think it turned out super precious. Soft color color schemes can be hard to work with but I think you did a great job!

Thank you so much! It's just a different mindset for me and I just need to practice. I have learned that I tend to gravitate toward darker colors and while that's great, I want to challenge myself every once in a while.

I love how this turned out. Your sidebar is always amazing! We just say “we’re going to the beach” here in Toronto. But beach for us is more of a lake. Totally understand what you mean about seeing the imperfections. We as viewers don’t see it but it’s very evident to the ones who’s laying it down. It’s definitely the perfectionist in us. Subdued colors is more associated with dullness and high contrast colors is usually associated with richness. Im not saying subdued colors are bad just saying that maybe that’s why you like the bolder colors. Theirs a lot more substance for your eyes to feast on. Glad you had a fun week. Pretty eventful and hopefully made a lot of core memories for your son!

Thanks girl. I think that might be what it is with the colors. The focal points are easier to determine so it's easier for me to work with. For sure. While it's exhausting, I'm so glad that we were able to spend this time together. Hopefully many more to come.

As far as I know, in California, we just say we're going to the beach, but that's probably not surprising haha

Loved it! In Minnesota we just say "going to the lake" as beaches are few. Where did the horse icon come from? I need me some of those!

Thank you. And I guess that makes sense if you don't have any beaches around you. I haven't been to a lake yet, or at least one large enough for me to say that. And I horse was from The Pretty Pink Co. I got it as part of a destash but I believe it was actually foiled farm animal deco.
