I'm sorry you've been going through a lot, but please don't feel too much pressure to upload! We love watching you journal, and for me, you've been my biggest inspiration. I watch your videos and get so excited to do my journal, your layouts just make so much sense to me. You haven't been on RU-vid long and you already have such a presence, and hopefully thats something you're proud of, rather than stressed about. Your videos are gorgeous, and I get excited each time there's a new one. You're inspiring and calming at the same time! You don't need to apologise for things in your videos, take ownership of everything you do because we understand you're human and in the end, you're more relatable. Thanks for sharing what you do
alycia k I can't thank you enough for this amazing comment. You've really lifted my spirits in every way, I appreciate having you here! Thank you so much! ❤️❤️
alycia k I think it is amazing and inspiring that u talk about your busy life and that u tell people how u feel. Don't take it personal if their are people demanding more content or haters. U get those everywhere u go. Thank u so much for sharing your feelings. It is very brave and not many people actually talk about their struggles on social media. It is a never ending whirlpool of stress which u need to forget about and just enjoy the amazing bullet journal videos that u do. It is very hard to keep up with all this crap and don't diss your content
Oh, you guys, all your comments went straight to my heart! I am SO grateful that you take time out of your days to write them. Your support means so so much. Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for doing a video on this topic! I think it's definitely important to keep in mind that these should be functional as well as nice to look at! :)
This video was really enlightening. I'm a beginner in journaling and I was always watching the set up of other people and I was discouraged. But you helped me not to think like that. Thank you
Some great advice in this video! Thanks for showing the two versions of your photograph. You're right - it's so easy to get discouraged when your bullet journal doesn't look like the "Instaperfect" ones online. At the end of the day, it's for you and it should please only you!
I had the same experience- I actually forced myself to do a rehearsal in the back of an old used notebook for a month to see what worked and didn't for me and I think that really helped, I am now an avid jounaller xxx
Hi! I was afraid too, but here's what worked for me - maybe it'll help? - start "easy": I am not a super artistic person, but I wanted to look pretty, so I just started with adding colors when writing and used stickers to decorate a bit. - sketch with a pen first: it does take a little longer when you have to go over it with a pencil after but it allows you to experiment - take your time: I began my first month at a time when I was not crazy busy and had some time to think about what kind spread I wanted or not, how I wanted to sketch them, ... And I let myself add some more spreads during the month, if I felt like I forgot somethings. It was like "live recording" my habits and organisation as it happened. And it allowed me to better structure it for the next month - nothing is wrong! Some bujo are just basic headers and to-do lists, done with a pen only and they are perfect because it suits their owner. You should do it to fit your needs and thus if it looks nothing like what you see on YT or IG but it works for you, then great :-) I am by far no expert on bujo, but that's the way I got started and not only do I really like it, but it is helping me a lot!
Seal Fantamide i did the same thing and still afraid 😂 maybe I will do a full monthly spread rehearsal or just use pencil first. Thank you for your tip 😊💕
So grateful to find this one! I'm planning a hiking spread for my new bujo. I'm not much of an artist, but I wanted to draw some simple mountains across the top of the page. Watching you draw your mountains in this video is just what I needed. Thanks so much for showing the whole process as you drew them, so that I can, too!
I absolutely love your videos. Your voice is so soothing, I like listening to it before I go to sleep. If possible, could you do a vid of a flip through of your journal? I think that would be really cool to see. If you want ideas on what to talk about for your next videos, you could give us some book or movie recommendations, talk about what you've been enjoying lately. It's always nice to listen to that sort of thing. I love hearing the excitement in people's voices when they talk about things that make them happy. ♡
I love your spreads exactly cuz they are simple, and not too busy with colours and drawings. Thats how I like my own bujo, so I am able to get great inspiration from your videos. Also like the new set up for the voice over. c:
Yes, I like the Q&A idea and talking about topics that are relevant to bujoing. Thanks for your ideas and yes, it does seem like at least on Instagram and YT that it's becoming more about the esthetic than the practical side. Be well!
Truthfully, I always knew going into bulletjournaling that I'm just not that artistic and I don't have the best handwriting. That's helped me enjoy my bujo more. I've thought about starting a RU-vid channel specifically because I'm not the prettiest journaler and to reassure others. For now, I'm just instagramming it to help others. Thanks for talking about it!
Woman, you are freaking amazing. No matter your video's a bit late, I'll always wait for it and cherish it when you've put it up. It actually came at a great time for me, because my mind is whirling again to try something new and not knowing what to do with my bujo at the moment because I've missed a few days. I actually tried getting myself a daily routine page too, but yours is so pleasing to the eye I have to try it. I absolutely love it.
I definitely LOVED watching you create your video while listening to your discussion on the topic. I have definitely slowed down with my bullet journal because it does take some time to set up, even when drawing a calendar. I started a new job and my bullet journal just lay forgotten on my desk. Of course I went to Instagram for inspiration and it does make me feel like my journal will never be good enough even though it's about the benefit I get from it. Thanks for sharing. Oh and thank you for featuring my spreads.
I really like your videos because you are very down to earth and natural. Sorry about your rough couple of weeks but even that makes it even more natural, understanding that bullet journaling is full of ups and downs. Also, you're a great artist! love your spreads!
Wow, I just came to this video for some beginner tips but I loved hearing your perspective and listening while you draw! so nice to watch some real genuine content on youtube.
What amazes me is how you can free hand draw mountains or outline your charts/tables. If I try and write headers without spacing them out first they won’t come out centered. And if I try and draw without using a pencil first I will 100% mess up. This is amazing!
I honestly come back to see your videos because they are just so therapeutic and your voice is so calming 👍🏻 You inspired me soooo much that I've started my first bujo and I'm loving it!
I love your bullet journal vids, your designs are so beautiful! And I definitely agree with you about making a bullet journal your own. When I first started my journal I would always look on Pinterest and be inspired, but when I tried to replicate it, it turned out horribly. It wasn't until I found your videos that I finally came to terms with a bullet journal being a safe place to make mistakes and learn from them. Specifically a safe place to learn more about myself. Thank you for your videos and all yo do. I can't wait for the next one (and take your time uploading them, life happens!) Luv!
I used to get totally overwhelmed by all those pictures from perfect journals, especially in the beginning.. I had no idea what would work for me so every other style totally confused me and made me question what I was using at that time.. which made me redo everything all the time which then lead to me totally throwing in the towel. But a few months ago I started over and used the original method for a couple of months before starting to decorate and draw again. Great little monologue about that problem! ;) Your videos are a huge inspiration and I love your voice, so calming :D
Thank you for this!! I've been through this many times so I totally understand where you're coming from!! Sometimes I catch up for a few days even a week. Thanks for sharing and you're not alone!! ❤️❤️❤️
u totally talked about what i go through while bullet journalling.. instagram and pinterest really makes us question our ways and makes us feel whether its aesthetically pleasing or not rather that focusing on what we need our bullet journal for.
This is so beautiful! And you're completely right about finding a balance with bullet journaling. I suggest you keep doing exactly what you're doing. :) I am always inspired by your pictures & videos.
Cristina, I watched this video 3 mos. later as I am a new subscriber. I have been watching other YTer journals as well but I find your videos are one of the best for me. First of all, your voice is so calming! Secondly your spreads are aesthetically pleasing to my eyes! I like the subtle pops of color. Most importantly, you are inspiring me to take that first step in my new journal. Thank you! 💕
Thankyou so much for this video! I've been in a slump since I lost my job this past month. Just didn't even wanted to open my planner. I also love your videos, there amazing ❤️❤️❤️ keep up the amazing job your doing!
You are so good at simple art! Can you do a simple floral theme one month? I know it's not spring yet but maybe you could do one in February. Also, it would be super cool to see one of your weekly spreads and how you plan those or your favorite pens. You're my greatest inspiration!
Love this! Thank you so much for taking the time to put these together and I am very grateful for your candor. Very refreshing. I also find your voice so relaxing :)
I LOVE your videos and I am so excited to hear you will be working on a schedule to try to get videos out weekly!! Your planner is such an inspiration!
Beautiful design, your voice is calm, your drawing is nice, your space so clean and i love how you decore it for the videos, this is the best for me xoxo
Thanks so much for this video. Don't look at Instagram. It's the skinny fashion model of the notebook world! I'm enjoying my BuJo taking it with a grain of salt and adding in what works for me.
wishfulsinger01 " skinny fashion model of notebooks", haha!! I wanted to say the same thing but didn't know how to put it, so you worded it perfectly!! 😅❤️
I absolutely love your videos! They've inspired me to start my own bullet journal a couple of weeks ago! So far it's like you said: it needs to work for me, how ever it looks like! I don't draw or have nice lettering, but i'm improving :) i hope you keep up with your channel! 😘
2 questions 1 How do you draw so straight lines without a ruler? 😂 2 Why not try a different journal style in which you choose how much you write every day?
Dustin Yeah Yeah, the paper that I use has a dot grid so it's like "connecting the dots", which makes it easy to draw straight lines. Another thing that helps greatly is to move your whole arm, from your elbow, and keep your wrist fixed. That way you have a greater range, whereas with the wrist you can only draw short straight lines before they become semi-circles 😅 hope that makes sense. But it's a technique a lot of artists use to help with this kind of stuff. Also, I've tried implementing a system where I would choose how much to write every day, but that didn't keep me motivated at all. So this is the next best thing, hehe! ❤️❤️
Lovely layout,as always! Thanks for showing us and for your advice :) I'm planning on starting my first bullet journal in a few weeks in my final year of studying, and yours is an inspiration!
Over the past few months (although less so recently) I've watched probably hundreds of bullet journal videos, but yours are by far my favorite! Aesthetics aside (it goes without saying everything you do is beyond beautiful), your voice is really soothing and encouraging and this video's topic really hit home, so to say. I've been having a hard time picking up my journal in the past couple of months and I feel bad about it, but it's nice to know others - even you - struggle with such issues as well. Thank you for the all the tips and the inspiration! Faci o treaba minunata, keep it up! ❤️
I purchased a journal and started getting discouraged because of everything I saw online but this video motivated me to complete my first month of bullet journal planning thank you for keeping it real ❤️
hello! amazing video as always :-) i just wanted to thank you for getting me inspired to start my own bullet journal! it's been i while since i actually sat down, drew, wrote, and listened to relaxing music, and i'm so glad i found your channel so i could be inspired to do that. lots of love from mexico
Love what you said! Negative comparison can really bring stress and sadness in all fields of our lives, not just BuJo... thank you for your wise words! 😉 Great idea to talk about a topic instead of explaining as always😊
Hi there! I follow your month setup this month and it works for me. This is the first time I tried journaling since Im afraid that I find it boring, but instead I enjoyed it. Im actually waiting for your october setup. Hope you continue making these kind of videos. More power 😊
You really hit the nail on the head! I’m so lost with this darn thing! I’m very artistic yet this thing has me baffled to the point where I’m seriously thinking about dumping the rather expensive large journal I purchased and starting over!
I love your videos. Your layouts are so inspiring and you have such a soothing voice! Your pages are goals and I will definitely use some of your spread ideas :) I've never tried the vertical style for a habit tracker, but I want to try it out. It looks neat! I agree about the comparison problem. I just try to remember that I bulletjournal for myself & that it's good the way it is; because everyone has their own style.
Thank you for this video, I am about to start a bullet journal and I have zero artistic ability! So your comments about functionality have made me feel a lot better about it!
Thank you so much for this video! I started bulleting but quickly I got off track, since I'm a student Kind it hard now to keep it up, but I'm so happy that you uploaded this!
I love your videos! Though I wish I could see so many more, I'm happy that you're posting at your own pace. Definitely happy to have subscribed way back in your first vids
Love your videos & your writing/drawings...so beautiful...really talented 👍🏽 I completely agree w/ you 100% on not stressing too much about making your BUJO aesthetically pleasing...my BUJO is completely functional...i choose one color highlighter theme for the monthly layout & bc I can't draw or do not know how to creative write, I use stickers. But that is not always the case. Simple pen & paper gets the job done for me as well. Thank you for all you do!
I'm literally so in love with this video, I've watched it like 10 times in a row. Your style is my favorite so far and I can't wait to learn how to do something similar on mine💕✨
I really enjoyed your video. Very inspirational and all of your spreads are beautiful! I can't believe this is only your 8th video, you are a natural youtuber! Lol, I hope you keep on going
Hello! Thank you for this amazing video. I love the daily routine idea - I have been struggling with this since I was laid off in April. So please know you are inspiring me through just being who you are and who you aren't! Also - time with family is so important! I have three stepkids and sometimes, if I am forgetting to update my journal but we have had a fun night of playing skip-bo I consider that a win, too. 💙💙💙
Thank you for an informative video. Your voice is gentle and easy to listen and not a thin screechy thin voice like so many other youtube videos. I would also like to see a video of shopping, restaurants, and culture of your country.
I'm only halfway through the video right now, but I just wanted you to know that your channel is my favorite bullet journal channel and I find that your videos are always really worth the wait. :") I don't mind waiting at all, because I know what you've created will be actually *gorgeous*. Also, I've never noticed you stuttering or anything! I find your voice very soothing!!!
This was such a feel-good video, thank you so much! Also, you're pretty good at making videos, didn't even know you were so new ? Earned my subscription!
Jipppyyy!!! I just LOVE your videos. Really inspiring and beautiful. Please do a video of your creative process on deciding a theme/consept design. Maybe with some links of inspiration pages. :)
I felt the same way about bullet journaling so I had to really tell and remind myself that I can't draw so my bullet journal won't look like that. So I fell in to my personal lane of minimal bullet journaling to help me stay on it while it still being helpful the way it was intended to be.
8:58 thank god i wasn’t the only one experiencing these btw my life goal is to have your style of bullet journaling I absolutely love how you can make your bujo so pretty without fancy things
I loved your set up and your chat helped me understand that I need to lead the way my journal looks and its functionality according to my needs. Thanks a lot for sharing 😊 PD: Your mountains are awesome 🗻
RU-vid should have the option to change the notification ringtone for each channel. My notification sound for your channel would be that song: "i want something just like this tururu tururu"
