Plane Crazy Musical Show at Disneyland (1991) 

The family of the late Louis Prima (who voiced King Louie in The Jungle Book) sued Disney because Jim Cummings did too good of a job impersonating Prima when he voiced the character in TaleSpin. As a result, King Louie was completely absent from The Jungle Book 2 and was replaced by King Larry in House of Mouse, the twin brother of Louie (also voiced by Cummings).

@@xavierdallenmusicuniverse6304 In The Jungle Book 2, John Goodman recorded his voice work in New Orleans, while Haley Joel Osment recorded his in California.

Originally, the role of Baloo in TaleSpin was supposed to go to Phil Harris, who had voiced the character in The Jungle Book. However, after one recording session for "TaleSpin," it was found that Harris, who had turned 85 just before recording began, had aged to the point where he could no longer do the voice successfully. In order to perfect his rendition of Baloo's voice, Ed Gilbert listened to old recordings of Phil Harris and practiced for many hours until he had it just right.

This is literally the only part of The Afternoon Avenue. My dad had recorded the entire thing on a camcorder and I remember watching it sooooooooo much. The recently converted that tape to a DVD, but unfortunately the tape had degraded and a lot of it was lost, including this entire show

@@mercurialmoose5006 Well it wasn't the only thing, even though it was the only show I guess. There were also characters from the Disney afternoon that walked around that people could take pictures with. But sadly back then it was seen as more of just a kids thing though to take pictures with characters. But now adults love to do it too, including myself. :) And I guess they remade some ride with the Gummi Bears. I'm 28, was born in 1993 though so I wasn't around for this sadly. But I do like these old quality good Disney cartoon series and I love Talespin, and wish I could have seen Don my fave. ^^ and the other characters too of course. I really wish Disneyland could let these characters walk around again. The few that they have: Baloo, Don, Chip and Dale, Darkwing Duck, Launchpad, and Scrooge usually only come out for some special events. Although it looks like Don has been out walking around normally at Disneyland before though ^^ yay, even though he's still rare I guess.

Indeed he is, but I do wish they had a better costume for Don Karnage. (I've actually seen some really good fan-made Don Karnage fursuits out there.)

I would die too. lol That would be amazing....but can't really see something like that happening unless there was a real revival of a lot of these old good early 90s Disney cartoons. :/ I wanna meet Don Karnage so bad, my favorite. ^^ 💖 I love him so much. I wish Disney would let them all come out again at the parks...only Don Karnage comes out at Disneyland very rarely. >_< and sometimes some of the other Disney Afternoon characters too for just some special events.

I just met Baloo and Don Karnage at California Adventure last month during the Oogie Boogie Bash! I think the new streaming service might be bringing some of this back. Chip and Dale (Rescue Rangers version) were there, too! Fingers crossed that they bring a show like this back!

DuckTales News Not exactly. It’s because these Disney characters were voiced by 2 different American voice actors a while ago.

I've heard a few say they think he sounds like him...I don't like Phineas and Ferb and most newer cartoons but when I heard him talk I didn't think he sounded like Karnage? I'll have to listen again but I don't think so...they're 2 different voice actors too. Also Don Karnage is better. lol :p
