Nelson, Greetings from the USA, Thank you for your comment. This is a special event and a joy and privilege for me to film. Best Regards, Wayne Whitley
Wow! I live exactly 3.34 miles from the midpoint of the runway and had no idea this was happening! We used to do stuff like this at the Pope Valley Airport (05CL) in California. Great video!
Thanks, Wayne, for all your time, effort and skill that went into making this fine video summary of the outstanding Just Aircraft Fly-in, 2019! I didn’t make it to 2020. Did you?
I pulled a SS off a dry Creek bed, it was 30 feet, I used half as my gear left the ground, amazing aircraft, I just prefere planes with more inside room, and higher cruise speed, but for low level flight, and short landing and TO ability, I can not think of a better bird
ik04, If you are referring to the arrivals, they are anxious to get here, but if you are talking about the STOL competition, they are landing at about 32mph airspeed. Thank you for your comment. Wayne Whitley
Wes M, thank you for your questions. Here are links to the the experts at Just Aircraft, for answers to your questions , justaircraft.com/contact/ justaircraft.com/specifications/ Regards, Wayne Whitley
I love the time and attention to detail you put in these videos. Great work. Keep it up. I'm always looking for you in my notification box. Hope your having a good day and I will see you in the next one. Also if somebody comes to your location, will u feature there airplane??
Micheal, thank you for your input. I am happy you enjoy my work. I usually film airshows and fly-in events and try to tell a story in the process. If someone at an event asks me to include their airplane in my video, I will try my best to do that. Regards, Wayne Whitley
Robi, Thank you for your comment. This Fly-in is for the Just Aircraft family of owners, builders and pilots by invitation. But there are a number of Air Shows in the U. S. that feature Just Aircraft and other STOL competitions. Keep safe and healthy, Wayne Whitley
Thank you Tyler for your input and glad you liked it. Vic was around, but he was busy with other things. Hope to see you next time, Regards, Wayne Whitley
One Step Forward, thank you for watching, this annual fly-in is for owners and builders of Just Aircraft, so I filmed it to share the experience with all of you. Regards, Wayne Whitley
Nampa Idaho to Brasstown NC is ~1800 miles as the crow flies. Even for Yee Haw 7 that's a heck of a trip. Maybe he'll come and try to sell some Epex engines when he starts dealing them?
Adam, thank you for your comment. The answer is yes, hope this helps, Regards, Wayne Whitley Here is a description of an anti-skid system from the BERINGER website: "The BERINGER ALIR system improves the control of the brakes and helps the pilot to control the brakes. This Anti-skid in Line Regulator allows the control of the direction on the ground with differential braking. It avoids wheel locking and risk of nose over when applying full effort on the braking pedals. It reduces the stopping distance."
What type Aircraft is the Swamp Monster from South Georgia?? It's the red and white Aircraft at the 3 min mark?? It has a pusher motor. Looks like it would make a great bush plane.
@River Rat - I believe that's called a "Woody Pusher", or something close. On FaceBook, Mary Zorn posts a lot of videos for the Swamp Monster....don't know why but they don't seem to be on RU-vid. Try this link to the video site they use: vimeo.com/375962706?fbclid=IwAR0GsuXZx--u4Z2ThNXdn4-ErNzCLnB-72St-BNmDUpcFbnmKskLTGs1vaw FB group - facebook.com/groups/Bigtirepilots/permalink/1208642429329543/
These kinds of takeoff and landings would be impossible in hot tropical or worse yet, hot dry climates. I don't think anything like this is hosted by Austrailian Bush pilots. Hot air is less dense
I'm sorry the narrator's voice is too creepy, like a serial killer speaking to a child or something...and those long "s"s...ugh shivers But yeah the plane stuff looks fun
Edgar, Your critique of my voice as "creepy" and "like a serial killer speaking to a child" is not welcome on my channel or on RU-vid in general. Clean up your act or don't bother commenting. Wayne Whitley
@@valeryan021 Thank you for your comment, Yes, this is called an "Engine out" emergency landing. To land safely, you need to have enough altitude to locate a safe landing site before gliding to that site and landing. Regards, Wayne Whitley
