At the official RuPaul's Drag Race Season 16 viewing party at The Edge in New York, Plane Jane spoke with The Queer Review's editor James Kleinmann about her time on the show and making it to the final.
LoL Plane Jane and her awkward misunderstood humor really tickled me. Although she looks like a look queen, she is the most camp of everyone in S16 for me.

This look is giving me the same energy as Asia O'Hara's blackout era and Loosey's with her darker look at s15 finale, where they are clearly trying to tell us something with their looks...
This is incredible, I wish she brought this energy to the show, it feels so much more honest and nuanced than the persona she presented to us. I hope she keeps it up for all stars.

BABA YAGA!!!! DA! Plane knows her Slavic icons. I love to see her chicken legs, they truly embody Baba Yaga. Her humor is the best, dry and very intelligent. Love you BABA..oops Plane Jane! Plane is beautiful as a man & drag QUEEN.
This makes sense because of Plane’s irreverent humor and attitude. Unexpected, but she can quickly spin a storyline to go w the look. By comparison, when Princess Poppy was that Shrekita-ogre thing last season, at the fkn Emmys or wherever it was, it seemed like she was doing it out of irritation for having to be there and an early-outer. Plus she had already stated she was quitting drag, but of course she was still obligated to make that appearance w the cast, so she thought she’d “F” with the people. And it was just like, kinda…crazy. 😂 🫤 Tbh. Like, Plane has the attitude to back this look up. Poppy was awkwardly sitting there, looking green and…idk haha
I know Drag has changed since I was a youngster, but a haunted house and wicked witch is NOT drag. It is beautiful and fierce, but it is not real drag. Do a dance or a flip. All she can do in this is a "park and bark" at best.
I'm trying to figure out if this is a joke, but I can't find anything funny about it so I guess you're serious? But nahhh, you can't be.... can't be serious. You gotta know who Baba Yaga is.... so ok you got me, good one. Great one, even. Best one I've ever seen, actually. This joke, although not funny, is terrific. You go girl. Slay, diva. Kudos, mama. And so on.
I'm over her before she began and so glad she didn't win. She is talented, but her attitude cancels out her talent. There is a difference between feeling good about yourself and tearing someone's spirit down to feel good about yourself. She was not "joking" when she was bullying Amanda. Her fake "pretending to pretend being a narcissus" at the finale was so cringe. I'll be tuning out her 15 mins. And haters can hate, i'll always take up for the underdog, our community should already know what bullying feels like....
